Live & Laugh

Happy 4th of July to all those celebrating today!
I've got lots of fun plans so this will be a quickie before I head out for a full day of celebrating my independence, LOL! ;)

So have you seen the new Sister Stamps cuties yet? Jenny and her sister have created some wonderful new stamps and I jumped on a pre-order to get them as soon as I could. Lucky me, they arrived in my mailbox on Saturday and I couldn't wait to dive right in and play!
I chose Mei Lin for this first card out, simply because I love her little bun head... totally adorable! And since she has such a fun and carefree spirit about her, I had to find some nice, bright papers to pair up with her. So I dug back in my stash and found this sheet of old Magnolia paper that had just the look I was going for. Then to finish it all off I added a few happy butterflies to flit around Mei Lin's whirligig... that way I could also enter this into the open Flutter By challenge this week. :)
And did you see that cool stick pin? My awesome bloggin' buddy, Kris, sent me some of her handmade pins and I love how this one kinda looks like a lantern in Mei Lin's garden now... thanks so much Kris, I ♥ them!

Alrighty folks, that's it for me today!
And here's a quick video on how I colored Mei Lin's blue/black "superhero" hair. :)

Gorgeous vibrant color scheme Amy, the image is so cute and you colored her beautifully. Thanks for the video too - I struggled with black hair on my challenge card this week - will definitely add some blue next time.
