Mornin' friends!
I decided it was high time to color up this darling stamp from WPlus9 called Miss You Lots. I simply adore this little gal and her fluffy kitten and I thought they could make for a cute Valentine. So I started coloring them up but once that was done I was a bit lost on what direction to go from there. Luckily my sister Tracy was there and she always has great ideas so I asked what I should do with this cutie... cut her out and put her on some pretty paper? Color a scene in behind her? If so should she be indoors or outdoors? So Tracy took a look at her and said that it would be cool if I colored in our local humane society building behind them, creating a wonderful adoption scene. I really loved this idea but it scared me too... what if I completely messed it up? But I took a deep breath and accepted the challenge. First I googled a picture of the Humane Society so I had a reference to work from and then I just started to sketch it in. There were so many times during the coloring process that I didn't think it would ever come together, until finally it did and it was such a relief! I chose this sentiment to finish off the card because I love how it can be read from either the girl's or the kitten's perspective. Most of my own animals have been rescues and in my experience they find you just as much as you find them. :)
Well thanks for stopping by today, I'll catch ya on the flip side!
