A lovely day...

Hey there! 

I recently got my order from the new Hello Bluebird release and I've just been itchin' to get it inky! So the first free day that I had in my schedule I made sure to give them a go. These adorable little critters are from the Banner Buddies set and it was that wee chipmunk in particular that really sold me right out of the gate... I love him! Initially I had this plan to do a whole grand scene with all of the critters but when I actually sat down to stamp, the idea for a simpler scene between these two popped into my head. The idea of the bird and chipmunk offering flowers to each other was cute and to elevate the simple scene I thought it would be cool to do it all in no line coloring, giving the whole thing a very illustrative look. To keep the focus on the smaller scene I kept the rest of the card fairly monochromatic white with just a few pops of color here and there. The end result is a very sweet little card full of happiness and cheer. :)

Amazing! I don’t know how you get into those tiny spaces like the chipmunk’s fingers. Lovely card. You handle the light and shadow so well.
