Hello friend...

TGIF!

I'm still having fun playing with the new background stamps from Hello Bluebird and this time around I decided to ink up the Birch Trees Background. Rather than use them on an A2 sized card front and fill the entire background with these fun tree trunks I grabbed the Gallery Frame #5 slimline die. This gave me plenty of room down below to add a sweet bird and bunny from the Meadow Bunnies set. With the way the background stamp inks up I used a variety of yellows and greens from Catherine Pooler to stamp it. I then used a blender brush to extend the green all the way to the bottom of the card. Once the ink was dry I used my Copic markers right over it to add the grassy details and extra shading to really make it look seamless. The bunny and bird were stamped on the green base as well, then stamped again on an extra piece of card stock so I could color and fussy cut them out so they could be glued right on top of the grass. I also added some simple Copic coloring to the tree trunks so they blend in with the rest of the scene. The quick addition of a die cut sentiment and I have a bright and cheery card ready to mail out. :)

Toodles!
