Comfy Cozy...

Hi friends!

It's a review weekend at Sweet November Stamps which is great because it gave me the opportunity to finally color up the adorable dozing reindeer from the Off Duty Santa and Reindeer set. I've had him stamped and even die cut since the release so it feels good to get him on a card before Christmas day arrives. Back in the day, my card making style relied heavily on using pretty patterned papers. As I evolved into coloring entire scenes the patterned papers really got put on the back burner. Because the die cut frame that I used is on the smaller side, I was inspired to pull out a Christmas themed paper pad from my stash and use it on my card and as color inspiration to match back to. I got into the paper fun so much that I even paper pieced Rudolph's comfy pillow bed, adding some simple shading to help give it more depth. All of this nostalgic crafting even had me reaching into a long neglected embellishment drawer for these paper holly leaves, which were a perfect finishing touch. Who know, maybe I will have to make more of an effort in 2026 to play with pretty papers again.  ;)

Later gators!

Warm and Cozy...

TGIF!

I'm back with another card using stamps from the new Frosty Winter Wishes collection at Purple Onion Designs. As I mentioned yesterday, all six of these delayed stamps are now available in the store now and through December 19th you can grab the bundle deals for 25% OFF. The Season Sayings Sentiment set is also 25% off during this time.

Today, I've colored up the Mr Corgi and Mousy Winter Friends stamp. This is such a touching moment between these cute critters and I just want to give them both a hug. In the background I added the older Snowy Forest stamp to help create a dreamy winter backdrop for these bundled up pals. Their red and green winter wear takes this to a very Christmasy vibe and the sentiment from the Warming Winter Thoughts set was stamped in red ink to balance those pops of color. I think this may be one of my favorite images from both of the recent releases. :)

Have a great weekend! :)

Let it snow...

Olo!

Due to a manufacturing snafu, the original Tofu and Friends Holiday Happiness collection had to be split into two smaller releases. Now that the second batch of images have arrived quicker than expected Purple Onion Designs is rolling out the six new stamps as the Frosty Winter Wishes collection. They are available in the store right now and through December 19th you can grab the bundle deals for 25% OFF. The Season Sayings Sentiment set is also 25% off during this time.

My card today features the adorable Owlsome Christmas stamp, whom I colored into white snowy owls for this winter season. With a bit of masking I was able to have them perch on the older Winter Bough stamp. For the background I gave them a moonlit night using a mask that I created from the Hello Bluebird Light of the Moon die and my Copic airbrush system. Some gentle falling snow and a sentiment from the Season Sayings sentiment set was all I needed to bring this peaceful scene together.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Baby, it's cold outside...

Hey, hey!

The Postage Pals: Snowmen set has been extremely popular, selling completely out a couple of times now. I'm happy to let anyone who has been waiting, know that a big restock just hit Sweet November Stamps. I made this faux post card using the cute snow couple from the set, one of the squirrels and the little bird on the branch as the faux postage stamp. I colored in the stone wall by hand to give these two cuties something to stand behind. The rest of the background was airbrushed on using the Copic airbrush system. Once again, I used the Year Round Post Marks set to add the perfect postage elements once the coloring was done. They may be cool folks but they sure melt your heart, don't they?  ;)

Thanks for stopping by!

Extra Sparkly...

Hey there!

This glowing winter night scene was colored during a past Live on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page. It was put together using stamps from the Snow Days, Front Porch Background and Front Porch Christmas Decor sets at Sweet November StampsI started by stamping the cute kiddo and masking her off before adding the decorated tree and the lawn art reindeer. Once they were masked off I stamped the Front Porch, which I shifted way too the left, leaving plenty of room for a side yard. Between the strand of colored lights, the porch light and the tree, I provided plenty of opportunities for us to practice creating different kinds of glow, which is always one of my most favorite things to color. Sure, we ran a little longer than the two hours that I try to keep the videos to but I think it was worth it.  ;)

Toodles!
