Hi there!
As soon as I saw the flying owl in the Cocoa Buddies set from the new Cider and Cocoa Fall release at Hello Bluebird I knew I wanted to challenge myself to create a spooky Halloween card with it. To help make that happen I pulled out a bunch of older stamps and dies, most of which are sadly no longer in stock. I started by using the Full Moon Scene Die to cut out the card front, I then removed the tree before stamping the owl just below its branches. I then proceeded to color the tree, grass and owl by hand using Copic markers. A mask was placed over the owl before I laid down a moon mask, that I created with the Light of the Moon Die, then air brushed in the night sky. It was then time to cut out some jack o'lanterns using the Jack Dies and color them too. Finally, it was time to start gluing all these parts and pieces together on the card base. The Spooky Script and Halloween Word Strips were used together to add the sentiment as a fun finishing touch. :)
Later gators!
