TGIF!
I still hadn't colored up the curly haired girl from the Ruffles and Roses set and as I was looking at her I realized how easy it would be to turn her into an Easter stamp. All I had to do was wipe the ink away from the heart she is holding behind her back in the original image before stamping. This left an empty spot for me to then stamp the Easter basket from the Egg Hunt set after I had masked her off. Once the mask was removed, I was left with a seamless blend of the two stamps, a pretty girl hunting eggs in her best Easter dress. For the background I stamped a cottage from the Autumn Cottages Background Builder set and a little bunny from the Bountiful Blessings: Soft Sunshine set, along with the daffodils and egg from the Egg Hunt set. Between her dress, the flowers and the cottage door, sunshine yellow became the the stand out color in this spring scene. This visual triangle is a design trick that leads the viewer's eye pleasantly through the key elements of the design. I hope this simple alteration inspires you to play with the theme of the stamps in your collection too. :)
Have a great weekend!
