Good morning!
It's my turn to share a card on the 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook page
and I couldn't wait to ink up my brand new Deep Red City Girls that Kelly just got in last week. These two beauties are from the new Fall Fashion set which has quickly become one of my favorites. These stylin' friends were giving me a very Carrie Bradshaw/Sex and the City type vibe so I totally ran with it when it came time to color in a background. I gotta say, the yellow and grey outfit is one I would borrow in a heart beat, LOL! And just in case you missed it, these stamps and many others are currently part of the 27% OFF sale going on in the store just use the code CARAMEL when checking out. :)
Ok, there is only a couple more days to get in on both the "PUMPKINS"
challenge for a shot at a $20 gift certificate to the 7 Kids store and the September Sweet November challenge with a shot at winning the entire Sweet November October release!

Pumpkin Spice and everything nice...
Hi there!
It's my day to share a card over on the 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook page and even though we are still technically in August it definitely feels like we have made the turn into Autumn already and I am loving it! Nights and morning are cooler, leaves are starting to change here and there and Pumpkin Spice everything can be found in stores and shops every where, LOL! This had me grabbing out the new Fall Break paper kit that I recently got for inspiration. All of the prints in this collection are just gorgeous but my absolute favorites are the scene strips and cut apart pages that provide tons of cool fall scene backgrounds super quickly. I particularly liked this scene with the bicycle and decided to grab my binder of Deep Red City Girl stamps to see if any of them would work with it. Wouldn't you know I found the perfect cold weather cutie in the Winter Time set. I love that by simply choosing Copic colors inspired by the paper she works just as well for a Fall themed card as a Winter one. All I had to do was fussy cut her out and pop her right on top of that great pre-printed scene and this card was practically done! :)
Ok, our current "Back to School" challenge just got under way so there is plenty of time to get inky and join the fun. As always there is a $20 gift certificate to the 7 Kids store up for grabs and the store is getting new seasonal goodies every day!
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink and Catherine Pooler
paper- Carta Bella (Fall Break)
stamps- Deep Red (City Girls Winter Time set), Hello Bluebird (sentiment)
ink- Memento tuxedo black and Papertrey Ink terra cotta tile
American Crafts twine
Studio Calico sequins

Go with all your heart...
Hi there!
I've got some inspiration to share on the 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook page today and once again I am having fun with some Deep Red Stamps. This time around I've left the monochromatic look behind and have gone full technicolor with a bright summer themed card. This little selfie taking gal, from the City Girls Summer Vacation set, caught my eye and I knew she needed a special background to be posing in front of. Luckily for me I had just received the Natures Borders set making it super easy to transport this city girl to the Big Island. First I masked her off then I stamped the palm tree border a couple times up at her shoulder level and then stamped the stone border a couple times down at her feet. From there all I had to do was color in a lagoon between the two shorelines and add some sky and mountains behind the stand of palms. Now she is truly enjoying her very own paradise. :)
Ok, our current "Distress Ink" challenge just got under way so there is plenty of time to get inky and join the fun. As always there is a $20 gift certificate to the 7 Kids store up for grabs and the store is full of fabulous new finds!

Black and white ATCs...
Good morning!
It's my turn to post over on the 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook page and I figured this would be the perfect time to share the Artist Trading Cards, or ATCs, that I made for the second 7 Kids ATC swap that recently wrapped up. The theme this time around was monochromatic and I chose to go with black and white since I liked the challenge of creating entire scenes with just a single family of grey markers. For the stars of the show I grabbed four different City Girls sets from Deep Red Stamps. This is perfect for me because I don't get bored coloring the same thing seven or eight times yet they all tie together nicely. Because the 2.5"x3.5" footprint of an ATC is on the small side I didn't worry about stamping the entire body of each girl onto the card. By just focusing on the torso up this really helped to push each gal into the foreground. :)
Ok, there is still time to enter the current "sunshine" themed challenge. As always there is a $20 gift certificate to the 7 Kids store up for grabs and Kelly has added some fun new goodies recently so check it out!
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink and Catherine Pooler
stamps- Deep Red (City Girls Casual Friday set, City Girls Street Chic set, City Girls Weekend Fun set, City Girls Formal Affair set), Pink and Main (sentiment)
ink- Memento tuxedo black
Copic markers:
C00, C0, C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6, C7, C8, C9, C10, 100

Go on with your bad self...
Hello crafty friends!
It's my turn to share some inspiration on the 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook page and I've done a bit of mixing up stamp companies to create this lovely spring day in the park. The cool skater chick is part of the Deep Red City Girls Spring Time set and I inked her up in desert sand for some no line coloring. I really wanted to give her an outdoor setting to inhabit and right away I knew that the Mix and Match lamp posts from Dreamerland would make it super easy to create a park pathway. Because you get so many different sizes of lamp posts in the set it takes all of the guess work out of creating the illusion of distance. I've done this technique by hand in the past but I gotta tell you that being able to stamp them in one go with my Misti really sped up the card making process and there is no going back for me! I stamped the posts in grey instead of black so that I could add a bit of dimension to them with darker grey Copic markers. After all that the rest of the park really came to life and I love how it looks like she is on her way to hang out with fellow boarders and practice her 180 kickflip. ;)
By the way, there is still time to create something for our current "rain" themed challenge. As always there is a $20 gift certificate to the 7 Kids store up for grabs and Kelly is getting all sorts of exciting new goodies every day!

Birthdays look good...
Hello my crafty friends!
Once again I am posting on a Saturday this month because it is time for a new challenge over on the 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook page and it is "glitter". It has been ages since I pulled out my small stash of loose glitter so the challenge for me almost became just finding it in my messy craft room, LOL! Once I had it at hand it was time to decide just who would be the star of this sparkly card. The decision wasn't too hard once I spotted this pretty gal sitting on my desk. She is from the Deep Red City Girls Summer Vacation set but I saw her all dolled up for a night on the town celebrating. So I colored her into a little black dress that sparkles and shines then masked her off and added some Distress Oxide peacock feathers ink behind her. The black and white stripe is washi tape that I then added black glitter to the black stripes. Then I threw on some sequins for good measure. It's too bad the photo didn't capture just how sparkly this card is in person, but I promise that the glitz is there! ;)
