My card today uses the adorable Happy Bugg digi and just look at that cupcake! Oy, I seem to be continuing the sweets theme through this week and it's starting to feel like one big tease. ;)
I love vanilla cupcakes with chocolate frosting so I could just imagine the chocolatey goodness when I was coloring this up. I've gotta keep telling myself to be strong Amy, be strong! LOL
I also used fabric strips that I dyed and tied into bows as accents on this so it would work with this week's Tiddly Inks fabric challenge as well. I think they add a festive/birthday present like feel to the card. :)

Am I the only one thinking TGIF?

I have the day off today and a lot on the old to-do list so I'm hoping to get as much crossed off as I can before I go back to work tomorrow. Wish me luck! :)

I got some new Pure Innocence stamps from ATS not long ago and I must still be in an ice cream kind of mood because this little sweetie was the first one calling out to be inked. In fact I imagined her enjoying a cone of my absolute most favorite flavor... cake batter... yum! I don't get to enjoy it often because I've only found it in places like Cold Stone Creamery but man o' man is it gooooood! Ok, I'm making myself hungry again... better wrap this up and go get busy. ;)

Oh and just FYI... the little gal from yesterday's card has been given a name thanks to Donna and it looks like Georgia will be finding her way into stamp form in the near future after all... :)

Mornin'!

I'm gonna be quick as it's shaping up to be a busy day... so by now you may have noticed that I like a good sentiment for my cards. I especially like the fun Kid Quotes stamps from Inkadinkado, they crack me up! I recently ordered a few more for my 'collection' and I just love this quote and had to use it right away. But when I went to match it up with a perfect image, I got nada... nuthin'... zilch!
For a moment I considered abandoning the sentiment for something else but I really wanted to use it soooooooo...I decided to draw something to go with it. It must have been meant to be because I had this little gal inked and ready for color in about ten minutes, she just flew onto the paper. :)

She doesn't have a name and there aren't any plans for her at this time but other than the fact that I drew her on Georgia Pacific and the colors bled like crazy on me, I really like this little miss attitude and just had to share the resulting card with ya. ;)

Sweet November candy time!

Hello friends... so did you make the Glist? LOL!

Well, here we are at the one and only Sweet November sneak peek that I've got for ya this month. Yep, it's a small release but that's because there are big things coming. ;)
With only having one stamp this release there isn't a guest gal for May but as always our wonderful SN Gal, Traci has more inspiration that you won't want to miss so be sure to hop on over to her blog today too. :)

Ok, so you all have met Darby before and have even been introduced to a couple of her buggy buddies but today you finally get to meet her bestest most special friend of all... Penelope! Penelope is another Sprite who resides in Sweet November Land and she will be taking off on her own adventures soon but because these cuties are BFF I just had to capture the two together for all those occasions when you need a friend card. Penelope may be the girly-girl to Darby's tom-boy but these friends couldn't be closer... they laugh and play all day long and are always there for each other. We could all use a friend or two like that I think. ;)

Happy Glee day my friends! :)

I was surprised by a package in the mail the other day and imagine my delight when I opened it up and found Mama's AMAZING desk drawer set and shaker card (plus some delish Hawaiian cookies that didn't last long enough to make it into the picture) that she made for her Monday Mania challenge. I've gotta say that as impressive as her work was in photos it is even cooler in person and I feel honored to have it gracing my desk. So much so that I actually spent some time cleaning away the clutter to make space for it... now I have a clean and pretty space to work in so I just had to share. Thanks Mama! :)
There is actually so much there that makes me smile... like the desk calendar from Shirley and the orange pen holder from Lisa, not to mention all the great cards I've received that hang on one of the walls. Ya know, when I started blogging about a year ago I never anticipated the friendships that would blossom and and the connections I would make with gals all over the world and I really do treasure each and every one of you that I've gotten to know!

As for my card today, I finally broke out this fun Moonlight Whispers stamp that I got from Kraftin' Kimmie's a while back and she was so happy to see some ink. The papers all came from my desk top when I cleaned it off so it's not exactly matchy-matchy but I think it works for the homespun vibe miss Gabrielle seemed to be rockin'. ;)

Happy Monday mornin' to ya!

I hope y'all are enjoying this gorgeous first week of May. Besides a bit of wind the days around here have been bright and sunny... I love it! And I've got big plans to help my mom plant some flowers that we got over the weekend as an early Mother's Day gift, hey I can't make cards all the time, LOL. ;)

Speaking of cards, I've got one that I made for Claire's Neapolitan color challenge over at Club Anya this week. As you can see, my sweet tooth led me to take this challenge quite literally... especially when I found these crazy Jolee's ice cream stickers that I thought would be perfect with my altered Lolli Anya. Yep, I altered. Surprise, surprise, but not a whole lot really. All I did was wipe her lollipop away and replace it with an altered ice cream cone from the Dress Me 2 set.
I admit it... my mouth is watering a bit just thinking of some yummy ice cream right now oooooh and the smell of fresh waffle cones... drool! LOL! Seriously, I should probably think about eating some breakfast soon! ;)

Simple Sunday part deux

Well hello there friends!
Whew, wasn't that a wild few days of new release goodness over at CA&Friends? I sure hope that you all can play along in the Rockin' Rebel contest... it's gonna be a cool one! :)

Last Sunday I shared a quick and easy card and I got to thinking afterwards that it could be fun to turn each Sunday's post into a 'Simple Sunday' theme. This works well with my schedule and how busy the weekends usually are for me. So from here on out every Sunday I'm going to share a card that takes 20 minutes or less to create... coloring included. Cute cards make me happy and if I can get them done quick I'm even happier! ;)

So here is this week's simple card... I used a 'new for me' Bugg digi from Tiddly Inks that my pal Donna totally enabled me into getting... she's notoriously good at doing that, LOL! :)
A big part of my quick cards is using images that don't require a lot of coloring and these cuties definitely fit the bill. The rest of the card comes completely from my scrap bags and what was around and on my desk. Having to use just what is within arms reach really narrows things down and speeds up the entire process for me.

I'm also entering it into the Tiddly Inks Challenge for Mother's Day cards this week. My mom loves her flowers and her gardens and of course I'm always convinced that they are the perfect homes for the little wee folk to reside in so she should get a kick out of this card. :)
