You're an A+ in my book...

Hello fellow Farmers!

Amy here and I bet you didn't miss the addition of the awesome new Build-a-Locker digital set to the store yesterday. Everything in this set is so perfect for creating super cute and super personalized back-to-school cards for the teens and pre-teens in your life. Yesterday I shared a card using the cool My Guy Ian that is included in this set so today it is time to shine the spotlight on Miss Anya with her locker. Doesn't she look like a carefree cutie who enjoys her social life with friends and school clubs yet still makes time to study and get good grades? She's got plenty of books and notebooks stuffed in that locker but the personal care accoutrements and that pic of her main squeeze hanging on the door definitely share more of Anya's complete story. I had a lot of fun coloring her into this casual, yet pretty look, adding the colorful stripe print to her shirt and matching her shoes to her belt. I also used a silver pen on her bobby pins and jewelry for a little extra sparkle and shine. I don't know about you but I would certainly love to have this Anya in my circle of friends.  ;)

Thanks for stopping by!

New digital set at TGF!

Hello!

The Greeting Farm has released a brand new digital stamp set today called, Build-a-Locker and boy is it perfect for creating fun back to school cards! Not only does this set include open and closed versions of the lockers but also a teen queen Miss Anya and Mr Cool My Guy Ian along with all the perfect accessories to decorate and fill their lockers with. My card today shines the spotlight on My Guy Ian whom I turned into the star quarterback with a love for all things football. He's got his letter man's jacket hanging up and his practice gear stored in the duffle bag beneath his favorite football, while his locker door is decorated with sporty decals and a pic of his sweetheart, Anya.

Be sure to check out the TGF blog for more Build-a-Locker inspiration from the rest of the team and I'll be back tomorrow with another back to school card.  :)

Have a good one!

Wish you were here...

Hey there!

I recently added the older Palm Tree stamp to my Purple Onion Designs collection and I thought it would be really cute to pair the guitar playing bunny from the new A Special Day release with it. Considering the small size of bunnies, that guitar Bonnie is holding could easily be a ukulele, which helps take this scene into a very tropical direction. To up the laid back Hawaiian vibe I also used the older Scattered Flowers and Hush stamp to create a lei for Bonnie to wear. Those tiny flowers were the perfect size and the easiest way to make that lei was by stamping the flowers on a scratch piece of card stock, coloring them, then fussy cutting and gluing them into place once the scene was completely colored. Now Bonnie has been transformed from a back yard band player to a beach strolling minstrel singing her island songs. The sentiment is from the Sweet Summer Sentiment set and boy do I wish it were true, LOL!  ;)

 Thanks for stopping by!

Hi...

Good morning!

This is gonna be a pretty busy week for me which doesn't leave me with a whole lot of creative time, let alone blogging time so I hope you don't mind things being kept short and sweet for awhile. This cute little Lula stamp from Mo's Digital Pencil, has been hanging around on my desk for a few years now. I actually have a whole stack of her printed out in various outfits because she's basically a digital paper doll and I was having a lot of fun dressing her up. Even after coloring this one up I still have so many different versions left to color it's a bit ridiculous, LOL! I used a smaller die cut to trim her out so that I didn't have to color much of a background, which saved me on time. I stuck with white for the remainder of the card because I like how the bright colors stand out against it.

Okay, gotta run... later gators!

Happily ever after...

Hey there!

I'm popping in with another card using stamps from the new Anita Jeram release at Colorado Craft Company and to also let you know that today is the last day of FREE SHIPPING on any order. No need for a code as the discount will be applied automatically until midnight eastern. If you are overseas, no need to fret, because international orders will have $10 flat shipping. So if you've been thinking about grabbing a few sets from the new collection or even crossing some older sets off your wish list, now is the time to save.

Today is also the last day to get in on the blog hop for a chance to win a free 4x6 stamp set of your choice. The link to my hop post is right here and entries will be accepted until midnight eastern. All of the winners will be announced on July 5th over on the 3C blog.

For my card I've inked up the Mice Bride set and created a clean and simple design. The background is all Copic colored but I tried to make it look more like a watercolor wash on that pretty, scalloped edge banner. I wanted the majority of the card to stay white, in reference to the bridal theme, with just a bit of soft color in the center. A few enamel dots in matching colors sprinkled around the scene was all I needed for embellishment.  :)

Toodles!

What's up...

Hello friends!

The July Mood Board Challenge begins today at Hello Bluebird and once again there is new inspiration up on the Hello Bluebird blog to help get you inspired to join the fun, I've also posted it below. Just like last month, there will be one winner selected to receive a $50 gift certificate to the HB shop and now you have three weeks to get a card or project submitted... how awesome is that?! Just check out HB's various social media accounts for all the details.

Even though you can now pull inspiration from the various photos in the mood board I was still inspired by the bright, summer color combo. My mind went to a tropical place which had me reaching for the Silly Birds stamp set. I chose this funny little guy and turned him into a cockatiel by stamping some of the smallest leaf fronds from the Portrait Pals set onto the back of his head. I also used those same palm fronds to fill the background of the circle panel with foliage. The small sentiment was stamped onto one of the speech bubble dies that are in the Photo Stack die set and I added some vines from the Jungle Littles stamp set hanging down from the circle panel as a fun touch. The bright pink enamel dots not only add more pops of color throughout the design but they also cover up a couple spots where I glued vines together to lengthen them. I don't know about you but this sure says tropical to me!  :)

Have a great weekend!

The time of my life...

Hello again!

I've got another card to share using stamps from the new Anita Jeram release at Colorado Craft Company. This set is called Time of my Life and it centers around this dancing cat duo, or should I say, Dirty Dancing cat duo... LOL! The original stamp includes both of their entire bodies as they preform the final lift in their dance routine but I wanted to re-create the scene where Johnny and Baby are practicing in the lake so I only inked the top half of the stamp and also wiped the ink away from the scarf on his neck before stamping. Then I colored in the water around them as well as the hills and forest in the distance, keeping it pretty monochromatic just like in the movie. I gotta say, I was chuckling the entire time I worked on this card, these stamps are too much fun!

Don't forget that the blog hop is still happening, simply leave a comment on yesterday's blog post and you will be entered into the blind drawing to win a new stamp set of your choice. The giveaway ends on July 3rd at midnight mountain time and winners will be announced July 5th on the 3C blog.

Toodles!
