Hooray...

Hi there!

I'm just sneaking this card in real quick because I wanted to get it entered into the Mama Elephant Top Card Contest before it ends on the 10th. It's a pretty clean and simple design but I thought the mash-up of the Little Fairy Agenda cuties with the Celebration Balloons was a fun one. All I had to do was draw in the strings and it looks like they are flying those balloons to a fairy special party. ;)

Alrighty, back to our regularly scheduled posting... LOL!

Hello again!

Sneak peek week at Stamping Bella is wrapping up today which means that we are only one sleep away from release day, woohoo!  If you haven't been checking out all the gorgeous preview cards from my fellow Bellas you really need to head over to the Bellariffic Blog and leave comments on each post for a chance to win a $25 gift to the store. But hurry because comments close today! In the meantime I've got two more Tiny Townie cards to share that will take you back to those carefree childhood days.

First up is a card featuring the new Tiny Townies Hair Play. These two besties are having a bit of a spa day as they take turns doing each other's hair. Right away I saw these two in a very girly girl type bedroom, reading teeny bopper magazines and chit chatting about all the latest goings on. I don't know if they have anywhere special to go once they get all dolled up or if they are just enjoying feeling good by looking good. :)
And my final preview card features the Tiny Townie Hula Hoopers. Personally I can relate to the little gal in the middle because I could never quite master the art of hula hooping. But I think with the help of her friends she will persevere until that hoop is spinning circles around her waist. :)
Ok, time for me to scoot. Enjoy the rest of your weekend everybody!

No one youer than you...

TGIF everybody

I had a great day celebrating yesterday but it didn't leave me with any time to get crafty. So instead I am sharing one of the extra cards that I made for last month's TGF release featuring the new You sentiment set. If you haven't noticed yet, I'm a big proponent for having sentiments on cards. I just really love how the perfect words can help pull a scene together or give an image a deeper meaning. So seeing these new large sentiments coming out from The Greeting Farm, whether they are stamps or the cool new extra large dies, makes me all kinds of happy! For this card I paired the large sentiment with a tiny Minkie and practiced my ink blended backgrounds some more. All in all I think this turned out quite whimsical and sweet.

Ok then, I'm outta here... gotta get ready for work. See ya next week!

Let's celebrate the 4th...

Happy 4th of July!

For many of us here in the States today is a day to celebrate with family and friends as we enjoy backyard barbecues, swimming, games, parades and of course fireworks displays. When I sat down to pick a stamp for my card celebrating this 4th of July holiday I was a bit stumped at first. I've done plenty of cards in the past featuring fireworks in some way and I wanted a change so when I flipped through the stamps still sitting on my desk and saw the Party Parade set from Hello Bluebird I had my inspiration. But I didn't stop with just that one set, instead I pulled out my Hello Bluebird binder and found more fun critters, from various sets, to really build up my 4th of July parade with not only those walking the route but the bystanders watching it as well. I had such a blast putting them all together in their patriotic red, white and blue pageantry.

Alrighty, have a blast today my friends but be safe while still having fun! :)

Hello...

Hello friends!

I'm sharing over on The Greeting Farm blog today and I couldn't wait to ink up one of the new beauties from the Cheeky Girly Girls kit that arrived in my mailbox recently. I've been a huge fan of the Cheekies ever since the original three, Glamour, Rockabilly and Shooter were released back in 2010. Compared to the other characters that call TGF home the Cheekies have always been a little bit naughty and super sassy! Now up until this newest clear kit all of the previous Cheekies have been in seated or kneeling positions but now the gals are standing up and ready to strut their stuff. This particular Cheeky looked to me like she was ready for a beach vacation full of surfing fun and twilight bonfires. I grabbed various scene building type stamps from my stash to help make that idea come to life. You may also notice her pink lips... if I had one pet peeve with these lovelies it was that their pretty rosebud lips always inked up black along with everything else. So this time around using a stamp platform I was able to wipe the black ink away from the lips before stamping then ink them up again using a pink ink and I LOVE the results! I really can't wait to get more of these Girly Girl Cheekies onto their own cards... who knows what what kind of fun each of them will be having.

Stay crafty... and a little sassy!  ;)

Bellariffic sneak peek week!

Hello crafty friends!

Sneak peek week has begun for the HUGE release from Stamping Bella coming to the shop on Monday, July 8th. If you missed Day 1 of previews yesterday be sure to head over to the Bellariffic Blog to see all the gorgeousness that my fellow Bella Babes have created with the first four stamps that were shown. Today we've got four more Tiny Townie images that will transport you back to those carefree childhood days.
My first sneak peek card features the new Tiny Townie Tire Swing and as soon as I saw her I could just picture her swinging out over calm lake water. So I grabbed my Copics and set out to make that vision come to life. Living in the foothills of the North Cascades I drew a lot of inspiration from my own backyard, though I like think that she is enjoying time at summer camp. :)
For my second card that I'm sharing today Tiny Townie Pirate is the star of the show. The story that came to mind with this imaginative cutie was that living on the coast watching the ships sail in and out of port had her dreaming of her own swashbuckling adventures. So with a little ingenuity and the company of her first mate, Mr. Whiskers, this Tiny Townie becomes the dread pirate Buttercup! Hmmmm... perhaps her or I have our stories all mixed up, LOL! ;)

I've got two more cards to share but I'm going to save them for posting here on Sunday, just before the release goes live. In the meantime, the other Bellariffic Babes will continue sharing previews for all the new stamps throughout this week. So make sure you keep checking out the Stamping Bella blog for daily posts, with the chance to win a prize for commenting on each one!

The Sweet November July digis are here!

Good morning!

Welcome to the July digi release for Sweet November Stamps at 7 Kids!
As you may have read on my earlier post or heard me talk about in my Live coloring videos a week ago, Sweet November is taking a mini break with a much smaller release this month. There is only one main image being released today along with our customary freebie for all members of the 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook group. Plus I've got the exclusive July fairy tot for everyone who participated in the June challenge. All of this is just because these summer months are especially busy for me at my day job so I needed a bit of a hiatus to get back on top of things. But no worries, come August we should be right back to our regular releases. And for me the silver lining in all this is that I get to release a mermaid image that I have wanted to share but she never fit into the previous releases so I really didn't think she would see the light of day even though she personally cracks me up.

Please say hello to Minnow. As you can see, Minnow is finding herself in quite the predicament. It was her bad luck to be swimming too close to a fishing vessel and she has gotten caught in their nets and hauled on board! What's a mermaid to do when she gets herself into a tight spot like this?
As you can see, I had fun getting a bit cheeky with my sentiment. I've already added, "I missed your birthday" to the inside of the card to make this work for a belated birthday card. ;)
An our freebie for the next two days is Buckitt the walrus. Again kind of a happy accident that our release worked out this way as he was too big to be a mermaid companion last month so here he is all on his own. Buckitt is a happy-go-lucky walrus who loves to bask on the sun warmed rocky shore listening to the gulls squawk on about this and that. They are always fretting about every little thing and Buckitt finds himself telling them to just chill out and relax before rolling over again for another sun baked siesta. Life is just too short not to take it easy whenever you can.  ;)
And we have this month's exclusive Fairy Tot digital stamp, which is only available to participants of the June Sweet November posting challenge. We know that sometimes it can be intimidating to put ourselves out there and share our creativity so these monthly Fairy Tots are our way of thanking everyone who plays along and shares the Sweet November love. If you missed out this month, no worries, because of the mini release we are allowing June images to count for the July challenge as well or you can of course grab one of this month's images and join the fun to get your hands on next month's fairy.

And don't miss out on all the fun and Live coloring videos I will be doing in the  7 Kids Customers Create Facebook group tomorrow, we would love to have you join us!
