Wee friends

Hey there!

Just a quick pop in to let y'all know that the Fairwee candies are still open through tonight for a chance at winning. And today is also the official Fairwee preview on the ATS blog so you'll want to be sure and get in the drawing over there to win the entire release!
Then tonight is the big night that they will all become available in the ATS store, woot, woot!

My card today is an A2 size (41/4"x51/2") and hopefully you can get an idea of the smaller size of these new stamps. I have wanted some quick and easy to color images for the Sweet November line for quite awhile and the Fairwees are what I came up with for that. Because sometimes I find myself short on crafting time but still want to get in and play so I like having some smaller, less time intensive stamps to choose from. :)

Alrighty then, time for me to scoot... hope you are wrapping up a wonderful weekend!

A 'wee' bit more candy...

Hello again!
Are you ready to go adventuring in Sweet November Land one more time?

I forgot the Mason jar at home today so hopefully luck will be on our side as we try to meet a few more Fairwees. Fairwees
are the smallest of the small inhabitants of this magical place so look high and low, in the mushroom glen and the wildflower fields... is that a bit of dandelion fluff floating on the breeze? No! It's a Fairwee! These wee little fairies may be teeny tiny but they have BIG personalities. :)

Come on, let's make our way past the waterfall and into the hidden glade... I've heard that it's a good spot for Fairwee sightings. Do you hear that? It sounds like a little voice chattering away. Over there! Down by that patch of daisies... it's little miss Mia and boy does she sound like one sassy little Fairwee. Mia means well but she tends to be a bit of a bossy-pants with an attitude big enough for a fairy ten times her size. That poor little bird, it looks like Mia is in high form telling him what's what. ;)
And it looks like she'll be at it for a while so perhaps we should leave them be and see who else is hanging around...
The Fairwee Mia candy kit includes; one Sweet November Mia rubber stamp, ten 6x6 sheets of My Mind's Eye Quite Contrary paper, small acrylic Studio G stamp, Prima flowers and e.line pearls and gems, ribbon, twine, buttons, decorative stick pins, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card.
Well, we've walked and walked and it seems like there are no more Fairwees to find. Let's sit down in the soft, sweet grass and rest a bit while we figure out what to do next but be careful not to cross into those toadstool rings over there... too much magic for us humans to handle.
Sigh
... it's hard not to feel a bit disappointed, but then you feel a tiny little pat on your hand and when you look down there is a Fairwee telling you not to be sad. She smiles big and introduces herself as Josie before settling down on a nearby mushroom. Josie is a laid back and relaxed kind of girl who doesn't let anything bother her and the positive vibes just seem to emanate from her tiny form. And while it would be fun to linger there all day Josie eventually has to take her leave so she flutters into the center of that toadstool ring and disappears with a wink and a grin.

Wow! What a way to wrap up our Fairwee adventures here in Sweet November Land. I think it has been quite a success and I hope you have had as much fun meeting the Fairwees as I have! :)
The Fairwee Josie candy kit includes; one Sweet November Josie rubber stamp, ten 6x6 sheets of Imaginisce paper, small studio G acrylic stamp, Prima flowers and e.line pearls and gems, ribbon, twine, buttons, decorative stick pins, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card.

All you have to do for a chance to win the candy is leave a comment on this post. If you link to the candy on your own blog that is great and much appreciated but not a requirement... I want everyone to be able to play along. And when I say everyone, I mean everyone. I will ship the candy anywhere in the world so everyone is encouraged to play! :)

The candies will stay open through Sunday, July 31st and I will announce the winners on Monday, August 1st. And just so ya know... Sunday night is now the official release date for all of August's new stamps over at ATS!

Don't forget to fly on over to the Sweet November Gals' blogs now... Kiara is once again joining Nancy and Rachel and even though they are playing with the tiny Fairwees all of their cards are BIG on inspiration!
Instead of using random generator I will be printing out names and tossing them in a hat SO if you leave comments for the SN gals on their blogs, you will get an extra name in the hat for each one that you do... this will up your chances of winning the candy... fun, fun, fun! :)

Thank you so much for stopping by for this third and final day of SN previews. I hope that you have enjoyed the sneak peeks of our August release! There will be one more chance to win the entire release when the Fairwees make their appearance at the ATS blog on Sunday, July 31st. You won't want to miss that! :)

This candy can't be contained...

Welcome back to another fun filled day visiting Sweet November Land!

I hope you brought your magnifying glass with you because we are on the search for Fairwees. Fairwees
are the smallest of the small inhabitants of this magical place so look high and low, in the mushroom glen and the wildflower fields... is that a bit of dandelion fluff floating on the breeze? No! It's a Fairwee! These wee little fairies may be teeny tiny but they have BIG personalities. :)

Quick! Grab the mason jar... a-ha! We've caught one! She doesn't seem to mind being contained for the moment as she pipes up and introduces herself as Daphne. Daphne is a go-with-the-flow kind of gal. She will start her day with plans to check out the berry patch but gets sidetracked by the new baby tadpoles swimming in the stream. Following these flights of fancy always lead her to the best of adventures so she wouldn't have it any other way. Now we'll let Daphne go about her merry way with a quick wave goodbye as we set off to see who else we can find...

The Fairwee Daphne candy kit includes; one Sweet November Daphne rubber stamp, ten 6x6 sheets of My Mind's Eye Lime Twist paper, small acrylic Studio G stamp, Prima flowers and e.line pearls and gems, ribbon, twine, buttons, decorative stick pins, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card
Before we can even turn to head off towards the Sunshine Valley this wee will o' the wisp comes floating gently down from the tree branches above. There's no need for the jar, sweet Emaline isn't in any hurry to rush off. In fact, she is quite curious about these strange 'giants' visiting her home. And even if she finds us odd and wingless she is a gracious little hostess who delights in chatting away about all the goings on of Sweet November Land while politely asking about the places that we've traveled from. And as the sun begins to set Emaline is most helpful in directing us back to the way home with well wishes for a safe journey and an open invitation to come back and visit her any time.
The Fairwee Emaline candy kit includes; one Sweet November Emaline rubber stamp, ten 6x6 sheets of Lilybee Picket Fence paper, small studio G acrylic stamp, Prima flowers and e.line pearls and gems, ribbon, twine, buttons, decorative stick pins, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card.

Now is the time to send you on over to the Sweet November Gals' blogs. Kiara is once again joining Nancy and Rachel and all of their cards are going to have you saying 'weeeee' with excitement!

A 'wee' bit of candy...

Hello, hello!

Get ready to travel back to Sweet November Land once again... we've got quite the task ahead of us today and we will need to keep a sharp eye out for the smallest of the small inhabitants of this magical place. Look high and low, in the mushroom glen and the wildflower fields... is that a bit of dandelion fluff floating on the breeze? No! It's a Fairwee! These wee little fairies may be teeny tiny but they have BIG personalities. :)
This first wee sweetie has settled in on the tip of your finger and she has introduced herself as Jilly. She is joy personified, all giggles and laughter... Jilly has no problem enchanting all those around her with her upbeat and positive attitude. You will want to spend the afternoon chatting away with her but in the blink of an eye her little wings will start to hum like those of a bumble bee and carry her away on the a high summer breeze...
The Fairwee Jilly candy kit includes; one Sweet November Jilly rubber stamp, ten 6x6 sheets of My Mind's Eye Lime Twist paper, small acrylic sentiment stamp, Prima flowers and e.line pearls and gems, ribbon, twine, buttons, decorative stick pins, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card.
Perhaps we should make our way over to the garden wall in our search for new wee little friends? I see Darbie's pal Bumbles gathering pollen but who is that sitting in the flower next to him? Why it is Fairwee Piper! Piper's tiny size allows her to help the honeybees in their search for pollen and she isn't afraid to roll up her sleeves and get a little messy in the process. She knows that all of her hard work will pay off when she gets her drop of honey as a thank you. After that Piper is off to see if the ants need any help carrying those cookie crumbs we left behind from our picnic lunch... this little Fairwee do anything for some sweets! LOL!
The Fairwee Piper candy kit includes; one Sweet November Piper rubber stamp, ten 6x6 sheets of Memory Box Pixie paper, small imaginisce acrylic stamp, Prima flowers and e.line pearls and gems, ribbon, twine, buttons, decorative stick pins, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card.

Sweet November Spotlight on Kiara!

Good morning!

Well I know it's been what feels like a looong break but now we are finally back and ready to share the new Sweet November previews for August with all of you! The peeks start tomorrow but before we get to them I want to shine the Sweet November Guest Gal spotlight on a very special card maker that is constantly inspiring me with her sweet, romantic style. Which is only rivaled by how sweet and generous she is herself... please give a warm welcome to Kiara Lee! :)

If I had to sum up Kiara's style in one word, that word would have to be "charming". As in, utterly charming and completely gorgeous! She does 'beautiful' like no one else I know and her cards always bring to mind the line 'sugar and spice and everything nice'. Kiara has a way of mixing textures that I truly admire and she completely won me over to the crinkled ribbon craze... she totally rocks it every time! I'm such a fan of her work that even while I was drawing up the first sketches for this release I knew that I wanted Kiara working her magic with them and I am truly delighted that she agreed to join us!

Now it is time for Kiara to answer the Sweet November questionnaire... which is always so much fun to read! :)

1) What color do feel represents your personality and why?
I think it's purple. A purple person tend to be fastidious, sensitive, and tolerant (I'm trying hard to be)! :)

2) Is your style of dress/ home decor similar to your style of card making?
Definitely not the home decor, I don't think my husband can tolerate living in a girly house with lots of pink and purple all around! :) However, my style of card making definitely is similar to the way I dress... totally girly! :)

3) What one thing always puts you in a good mood?
Music always puts me in a good mood, I love music!

4) If you could visit any time in history when would it be?
18th century England. The glamorous Victorian fashion is to die for!

5) If you were a mythical creature ie. fairy, elf, mermaid, troll, wizard, witch etc., what kind would you be and why?
A fairy of course! I can fly and maintain a human form, how awesome is that!! :)

Bonus question

6) If you are a fellow Gleek, which character from McKinley High do you most identify with?
I think it's Tina, she is shy and insecure. I was like that when I was in high school, I'm still shy but not insecure any more. I would love to be able to sing like Rachel though! :)

I can SO relate about wishing I could sing like Rachel too, LOL! Great answers Kiara!

LinkTake a look at this lovely card featuring Coral Reefweaver that Kiara created. I love how the simple, yet effective use of the pattern paper plays against the white background. The layers of texture that she created with the embossing, doily and embellishments is just fabulous. I couldn't help but lift her entire design so I chose the other SN mermaid who is sitting pretty... miss Bubbles Lostlagoon. Don'tcha just love how Kiara added some color to her doily? I had never thought of doing that until I saw her card and all I did was lightly rub a small inkpad over it... SO easy and it totally customizes it perfectly to the card. Thanks for the inspiration once again Kiara!

Alrighty then, Kiara will be joining Nancy, Rachel and myself in the August Sweet November sneak peeks starting tomorrow! There are some 'wee' little characters just waiting to say hello... hope to see you back then! :)

You're fintastic!

Howdy folks!

What do you say to another mermaid splashin' around today? This time I decided to color up Cordelia from Kraftin' Kimmie stamps and I also managed to get my second tail coloring video done too. :)

I'm not sure why I went with the blue and purple color scheme because it is not one that I do much at all. I guess I was just shaking things up a little by stepping outside of my comfort zone. And I do think that I managed to create a bit of mystery for this diva of the deep with the color scheme and cool paper that I paired with her. In real life there is a lot of sparkle and shine added to her shells and tail but I couldn't pick them up in my photo... so just imagine her all blinged out. ;)

And if you are interested in taking another peek at how I color these cuties up just check out the video below...

Oh! And exciting news! New Sweet November sneak peeks are almost here! Check back tomorrow to meet our fabulous Guest Gal for the August release and then all the new cuteness will start to be revealed on Thursday... woot, woot!

See ya then! :)

Make a splash!

Hiya sweeties!

With all the hot summer sunshine, I've just been itchin' to ink up some mermaids. So I flipped through my school of Sweet November mermaids to see who wanted to come out and play. Treasure Tempestwind was quite anxious to come out and have some fun and who was I to tell my lovely flippered friend no?
As I started to color her up I realized this would be a good opportunity to make a quick video on one of the ways that I color up mermaid tails... this one being a more smooth seal or dolphin like inspired look. Hopefully I'll have another video to share in the next day or two. Hope you like them! :)

Anywho, back to the card... I came across this cool BoBunny paper with the pier scene on it and it completely inspired the entire look and story for this card. I love the idea of Treasure breaching out of her ocean home for a glimpse at how the other half live. I wonder if anybody on that pier caught a glimpse of her before she disappeared back beneath the waves? ;)

Well, that's it from me today... hope this week is a good one for ya!

A great day

Mornin'!

It's shaping up to be another beautiful day here, not too hot but lots of sunshine. I'll be working through most of it but I've still got some plans to chill afterwards. ;)

I couldn't resist playing with another one of the cute Pixies by Christy Croll but this time I went for a completely different kind of vibe on the card. This little sweetie is moonlighting as a wood sprite while she hangs out with all her forest friends. I had originally pictured using this line of papers for more guy type cards but I think it makes for a fun alternative from my usual girly colors too.

Ok, quick, quick, quick since I've really got to get moving... thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day! :)

Just because...

Olo!
Happy Saturday my fellow stampers! Any big crafty plans for the weekend?

I'm kickin' it off with a card for the Farm Fresh Friday challenge over at TGF. This week it's all about paper piecing so this was nice and easy... just what I needed. It also gave me the perfect excuse to ink up Blush Babette for the first time. Just like her sister Bonnie, I decided to do a bit of altering and give her some smilie eyes a la Anya... I love how happy she looks now. :)

I paired Miss Babette up with some pretty papers by Authentique and colored her up to match. I'm not usually a fan of the color grey but lately I find myself being drawn to color combos like this, where grey is paired with a bright, happy color. It makes for a fun yet still kinda sophisticated looking card or project. I even used some of the pretty yellow gingham print to paper piece Babette's dress and gave her a grey slip to have the same stylish look as the paper. ;)

Well, I guess I should make like a bread truck and haul buns (caught that little gem while watching A League of their Own on AMC last night, LOL!)
Later!

Somebody stop me!

See... I really wasn't kidding about my current jar obsession yesterday, LOL!

Here I am with yet another card featuring a jar and I can guarantee you that it won't be my last. I really was trying to be good and broaden my horizons a bit but as I was cleaning my desk and putting stamps away I couldn't help but think that Paisley Pixie by Christy Croll would look awesome inside the pint sized jar from the Paper Trey Ink Summer Fillers set.
My plan was almost derailed when I pulled out Paisley and saw that the flowers she holds aren't as straight up and down as I needed them to be for my idea to work. But that just meant I would have to get more creative to make it happen. So I inked up Paisley and the single flower down by her head and stamped them onto the cardstock. Then I masked that off and inked up the big bunch of wild flower blooms and stamped them in a more vertical direction that makes them look like they are behind her now. Next it was super easy to line up the mini jar stamp around Paisley because the PTI stamps are clear. Then I just started to color, color, color... and because I spent most of my crafty time coloring I kept the rest of the card clean and simple.

Oh, and I am also entering this card into the open challenge at Flutter By this week. Not only do I have a cute little pixie who got herself stuck trying to put flowers in that jar but I've also finished the scene off with a few fluttering butterflies for good measure.

TGIF and I'll talk at'cha again tomorrow. :)

Keep that Christmas music playing...

just a little bit longer, LOL!

Apparently I am in a little holiday groove right now because I decided to combine this week's regular Tickled Pink challenge to use stripes and polka dots with the anything goes Tickled Pink monthly Christmas challenge. That or I'm really in the mood for some yummy cookies! ;)

Either way, it was fun to pull out Christmas Ivy, who is always a fave, and play around with her early this year. I'm also thinking that I've gotten a bit obsessed with jar stamps here recently (you'll understand why come next week's SN previews... hint, hint, wink, wink!). I can't get enough of them and love having some in all shapes and sizes. Sooooo... when my recent PTI order arrived I was stoked to have a chance to ink this new one up and the Holiday Fillers made it too perfect to pass up pairing with li'l Ivy. Seriously, can't you just see her busy baking the day away and filling cute gift jars full of cookies to give to all her li'l friends? Yep, me too... Ivy is a real sweetie like that. :)
I pulled all my colors from this old Collage Press paper (glad they got picked up by Pink Paislee), I'm a total fan of throwing pink into the holiday color scheme every now and then so I was excited to finally cut into these papers. I tell ya... it may take me a while to actually cut and create with some of my more beloved papers but it is always so worth it in the end!

So if you would like a chance at winning this week's prize or to get your Christmas groove on and go for that fab prize as well, then why not play along? Don't forget that your card must feature a Tickled Pink stamp in order to qualify for the prize... these include: Lil Lolitas and Lads, Pinkettes, Pink Pets and Cherries. All of which can be found in the Tickled Pink store.

Christmas... already?

It's beginning to look a lot like... hold the phone! No way is it time to start getting Christmas songs stuck in my head, LOL!
But I guess that doesn't mean I can't make a Christmas card a bit earlier than usual, especially since this week's challenge over at ATS is Christmas in July. At first I was having a hard time getting into the spirit of things and I chose Snowflake Fairy Neva so that I wouldn't be tied to having to use traditional Christmas colors. My original plan was to do a green, white and blue/silver color palette that I was going to build around this AC tree paper that is actually part of their summer/camping line. Though when I started going through my Christmas papers this sheet of Girl's Paperie red snowflakes and ledger totally won me over. I shouldn't have been surprised, considering that was my absolute fave Christmas line from last season's releases (still SO sad they are no more...). So I embraced the red and green instead of fighting it and went to town.

I still can't say that this makes me want to start making a bunch of Christmas cards but I did enjoy the little break from my summer colors and papers and Neva is always a joy to spend some time with. :)

Ok
, so I know you want to play along right? Of course you do, because every week there is a new and exciting prize being offered and in order to be eligible to win just be sure that your project includes a stamp that is sold in the All That Scraps store. Whether it is any of our wonderful in house designs or from the various other stamp companies that ATS carries, the choice is yours. Then be sure to link up your creation with Mr Linky by next Tuesday at 10pm est and only one entry per person please!

Toodles!

Bee Happy

Hiya sweeties!
I hope the week is treating you well so far. :)

I'm so slammed with work and "to-do" stuff right now that I'm kinda posting on the fly this morning... hope you don't mind.

I made this card with the Flutter By photo inspiration in mind but didn't quite get it done in time for the actual challenge... I'm blaming it on my pre-haircut mojo malaise. ;)
But no matter, I'm still sharing it because I like how it turned out. I was totally inspired by the sunflowers in the pic and came across my extra large Heidi Swapp flowers. Hmmm... I thought it was pretty big but it could make for a cute background, that led to creating another circle card and from there I just had to choose a cutie to complete the scene. This Gorjuss Bumble Bee gal was absolutely buzzing to finally get on a card and I wasn't going to argue! Seriously, she's completely adorable and I can't believe it took me this long to ink her up! :)
And can you believe that nowhere in my stamps did I have a sentiment that said "Bee Happy"? Me either! But I managed to piece this together using part of one sentiment and some small alphas. I felt pretty resourceful after that. ;)

Well, I guess I should wrap this up now.
