Good morning!
I had a lovely holiday this past weekend filled with good food, good friends and some great shopping deals. I think I'm actually done with all my Christmas gift purchases which is a big relief. Now I can just relax and enjoy the season. Yesterday I was relaxing in my crafty room, straightening up and putting things away when I came to the Harvest Mouse set that I had used for this year's Thanksgiving card. I thought that this little mouse looked like he was holding a holly branch so I decided to make him work on a Christmas card. The papers are from the Heidi Swapp Believe collection and of course I matched my Copic colors back to it. With just a little help from a Christmas tree die I had a clean and simple scene for Mr. Mouse to live in.
Ok, time for me to scoot. Thanks for dropping by! :)

Merry and bright...
TGI-Black Friday!
I will be heading out soon to try and get some shopping deals today but I wanted to share this card that I made for Bellariffic Friday before I go. The theme for this week's challenge is 'Holiday Wishes' and I inked up Valerie with Pup because these two totally crack me up. I can actually relate to this scene of bundling up to take my own pup on his daily walks... even when the temps stay below freezing all day. I paired Valerie up with this fabulous Christmas lights paper from Simple Stories and it is just the perfect background. I know that it is another rather CAS design but I figure why fight it when the results make me this happy? ;)
Ok, well have fun this weekend and be safe if you are braving the crowds! :)

Merry Christmas...
Good morning!
Things are pretty busy around here as we prepare for the big holiday tomorrow. I cleaned the kitchen yesterday setting the stage for the delicious show to begin. Pies are on today's agenda and I am in charge of the pecan since they are my favorite. Then there is the Chex mix and all the other little snacks for people to nosh on while the bird cooks. This hasn't left a lot of time for card making but I was smart and planned ahead making a few extra cards last week. This is one of them and it features the sweet Holy Light stamp from Lili of the Valley as well as more of that great Tidings paper. I knew that I was going to have a lot of gold accents on the card so I tried my hand at giving this little angel a gold robe to wear. I gotta say that I'm pretty darn happy with the results. :)
Ok then, time for me to get baking.
Later gators! :)

Let it snow...
Olo!
It doesn't happen often that I make up multiple cards using the same stamp right in a row but last week I posted a blue version of this Gorjuss Girl called Toadstools and today I have a pink version to share. I couldn't resist playing with another beautiful winter paper from my local Hobby Lobby store taking this into a much brighter color palette than the first card. It's kinda funny how the same stamp can take on a whole different personality just by changing up the color choices. This one definitely looks less 'Silent Night' and more 'Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree'... LOL! ;)
Ok, time to get going. It's a busy week what with the holiday coming up in a couple days.
Smooches!

Under the mistletoe...
Hello, hello!
I've got a fun card to share today featuring a few stamps from The Greeting Farm. The bundled up beauty is Krystal whom I believe was the Super Secret Stamp Club stamp for October. Her companion is a mix of Creeper Dante's body and Marko's head from the Twisted set. At first I was just going to borrow Marko's hat but when I saw that his eyes would be looking right at Krystal the whole concept for the card came together and I had to go for it. I think these two make for a cute pair of winter love birds so of course there had to be mistletoe too. Luckily I had the perfect set of sentiments to make it happen along with the mistletoe die from CC Designs that I cut down and layered to be a bit smaller. And I even added a sentiment to the inside of the card that says, "Merry Kiss-mas"... awwww. ;)
Alrighty folks, I've got to scoot my boot. Talk at'cha later! :)

All the joy...
TGIF!
I gotta say, I'm kinda excited... tomorrow is my birthday but today is the day that I will be celebrating with friends. We've got a whole day planned and I know that we are going to have a blast. And luckily for me the snow is holding off so I shouldn't have any problems getting to town and then back home, just have to watch out for deer.
As for my card today, I've inked up this adorable scene called Nativity Angels from Lili of the Valley. They have so many cute stamps but their collection of little nativity pageant kids are my absolute favorites. I paired up this trio of heavenly kiddos with some new Christmas papers from Authentique called Tidings. I just love, love, love the print on kraft look. :)
Ok friends, thanks for stopping by!
Catch ya on Monday! :)

Joy, joy, joy...
Hey there!
Today I have a sweet, simple Christmas card featuring Angel Twila from CC Designs. The expression on her face is so joyful that it inspired the entire direction for the design of the card. I could just picture this rambunctious runaway angel dashing across the stage during the annual Christmas pageant causing all sorts of commotion. I wanted some festive bunting hanging behind Twila so I grabbed the smallest scalloped rectangle die from the Lawn Fawn set and the second smallest stitched banner from the MFT set to cut the banners out of this lovely Penny Black paper. Then I die cut some small letters in white to repeat 'joy' on each of the pennants. All of the gold lines were done by hand with a pen proving that even with all the fancy tools and crafty goodies that I accumulate sometimes all you need is a pen and a ruler, LOL!
Alrighty, I'm outta here.
Later gators! :)

A lot like Christmas...
Hello, hello!
Ok, how cute are these little guys? When I first laid eyes on this Snow Fairies set from Penny Black it was love at first sight. So when it came time to make a card I knew it would be hard choosing just one to color up. That is when I really started looking at these fairies and realized that with a bit of masking as I stamped, they would come together to make a snowman building scene. Of course this just made me love them even more! So now with a bit of fairy magic Frosty is bound to come to life in time for Christmas. ;)
Well thanks for dropping by today. I'll be trying to stay warm and dry in my wet and windy neck of the woods. :)

Merry Christmas Everyone...
Olo!
I've got a super quick post to share as today is already feeling very go, go, go! I recently spotted a card on Pinterest showcasing one of these Wild Nymphs from A Day for Daisies and I had to get them because they are just too crazy cute. This one is Wild Ornament Nymph and I did alter her a bit so that I could color in her big expressive eyes rather than having them print black. Even though I know she is called Ornament Nymph I saw her head being wreathed in winter berries instead and I had just the scrap of paper to pair her with... talk about a match made in Christmas magic heaven. I'm entering this card into the current ADFD challenge which is to 'add texture' and to meet that qualification I decided to add generous amounts of Glossy Accents to the berries in her hair. Once it dried not only do they look super shiny but they feel round, slick and smooth. Hopefully that is good enough to count. ;)

Winter Wishes...
Hello again!
Today I'm sharing another card that I've made for this month's 'anything goes' Sugar Bowl challenge. This lovely Gorjuss Girl is called Toadstools and I think she is dressed perfectly for a trek through the winter wonderland I've created for her. I colored her up to match the blues and aquas in that fun snowflake paper from Hobby Lobby and I gotta say that I'm really diggin' this combo. The rest of the scene was put together using a bunch of different dies which I'm so glad that I am finally putting to more use. They are such a great tool and I have my fair share of them but it was easy to get lazy and just not pull out the Cuttlebug so I rearranged things in my crafty room a bit and now I have easy access to the die cutter which has made all the difference. And thank goodness I did because I love this card!
Ok friends, time for me to get going. I hope your week is off to a great start. :)
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It
paper- Paper Source

Be thankful...
TGIF... the 13th! OooOooOooh... spooky!
Today I am playing along in this month's Farm Fresh Challenge over at The Greeting Farm which is to 'give thanks'. I recently got the new Secret Santa set of Anyas and Ians and this hair-do kinda reminded me of, well... me! So I decided to do some altering and open up her closed eyes by wiping away the ink before stamping then tracing in smiley eyes from Starfish Anya. Next I did a simple body swap with Beanie Ian because I've been known to enjoy a cup of cocoa from time to time. The papers are new too, they are from the Pumpkin Spice collection from Simple Stories. And how lucky for me that the perfect sentiment was included right on the paper. ;)
Alrighty then... it's Friday fun day for me and I'm off to town. Have a super creative weekend my friends! :)

Season's Greetings...
Hey there!
Well yesterday proved to be just as busy for me so once again I was in search of a quick to color image. Since it felt like it had been a while since I had inked up a Pure Innocence I decided to grab my MFT binder and see who caught my eye. This sweet Angel was just begging to make it on to a card and boy did she color up fast. I did do a quick alteration by extending the length of Angel's hair with a Copic multiliner and I love the elegance it adds to her over all look. Once again the papers are a mix of random scraps and while the color combo isn't traditional red and green it still looks pretty and festive to me. And since I saved so much time on coloring I did have some fun with my dies to embellish the rest of the card. :)
Ok, have a great day everybody, I'll talk at'cha later!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It
paper- Simple Stories (snowflake), Fancy Pants (stripe), Doodlebug (red)
stamps- My Favorite Things (Angel Pure Innocence), Simon Says Stamp (sentiment)

Warm thoughts...
Hi there!
When it came time to get crafty yesterday I was in a bit of a time crunch so I needed something super quick to color. That is when I remembered that I had this pair of bear cubs from Sister Stamps already inked up and ready to go. Don't Boo Boo and Bobo make for a super cute duo of polar bear cubs? I love how mischievous they both look peeking out from behind that sentiment block. I can just imagine them romping away through the powdery snow after getting a look at what was going on. And I can hardly believe that I only pulled five Copics to get these two colored up... talk about speed coloring, LOL! The papers are a mix of scraps that I found in my stash and I think the monochromatic look really sets the scene here.
Well, here's hoping that today isn't quite as busy as yesterday was.
Later gators! :)

So very thankful...
Olo!
Today I'm detouring from the Christmas card line up to share this seasonal fall card that I made. This beautiful Gorjuss Girl is called You Brought Me Love and when I saw her with her bushy tailed little friend there I really wanted to play with some fall colors. Because I didn't feel like fussy cutting but really wanted to use this large Hero Arts sentiment I ended up masking off the top of her head so that once it was stamped the sentiment looks like it is tucked behind her a bit. It totally saved me time on this card and I love the look so much that I may just have to add it to my list of go-to card techniques. The papers are more October Afternoon... have I mentioned that they are a total fave of mine? ;)
Well, that's all I've got for today. Thanks for stopping by! :)

Have your elf...
Good morning!
I don't know about you but I am totally getting into the Christmas spirit already. I don't care that Thanksgiving hasn't even rolled around yet, the CD player is officially loaded up with Christmas tunes. I love having the music going while I'm working on my Christmas cards... makes me feel more creative I guess. This card benefitted from the Christmas music magic as I colored up Santa's Little Helper from Mo's Digital Pencil. Isn't he just crazy adorable?! I love his big expressive eyes and all those curls, what a cutie! I paired him up with a mix of new and old October Afternoon papers because those gingerbread men and candy make me think of Santa's workshop up at the North Pole where this little guy would reside.
Alrighty, I should mosey. Have a good one everybody! :)

Have a cup of cheer...
TGIF everybody!
Today is Bellariffic Friday over on the Stamping Bella blog and the challenge this past week was 'anything goes' so of course I had to play along. I got this super cute pair of cocoa drinking elves called Buddy and Jolly a few months ago and I have been waiting for the right time to get them on a card. I can't tell you how much I love these guys... can't you just picture them waddling around Santa's workshop trying not to spill any of that big mug of cocoa? With that warm, sweet treat in their hands I knew exactly which paper I wanted to pair with them, it is a sheet from Pebbles' 2014 Christmas release full of cookies, milk, candy and of course cocoa. No wonder these pudgy little elves waddle... who can resist stuffing themselves with tasty goodies like these all the time? LOL! ;)

Peace, love and joy...
Hello, hello!
I was looking at this Gorjuss Girl called The Fox the other day and debating over whether or not to alter her and get rid of the tail and ears or keep them and make a more fall colored card with the foxy theme. Then I had a real Ah-Ha moment and saw her as a pretty, white arctic fox for Christmas. With that decided, I started to to look through paper and found this beautiful pink and cream snowflake print and suddenly I could see the card in my head. I stuck with a limited palette of soft dreamy colors and let that set the scene for Foxy and her friend. Pretty, pretty, pretty! :)
Thanks for stopping by today, have a great one!

Santa Claus is coming to town...
Hi there!
I really love it when TGF goes small with some of their characters, they just get cuter shrunk down a bit if that is even possible. So as soon as I got the newest Happy Winter set in the mail and saw how small and cute they were I knew that I had to pair one up with his bigger counterpart from the Winter Greetings set. Something about these two kinda reminded me of the brothers from the A Christmas Story movie, Ralphie and Randy. That inspiration was really cemented when I also found this fantastic sheet of paper by October Afternoon in my scrap bag. Not only is the department store there in the background but it looks like the Chinese restaurant where they eat Christmas dinner is even included. With such a perfect scene all done for me I didn't have to add anything but the sentiment. :)
Well, enjoy your Wednesday and I shall see you again tomorrow!
Supply list:

Season's greetings...
Good morning!
I got some new goodies from My Favorite Things in the mail yesterday and I couldn't wait to get creative with them. So I decided to check out the MFT challenge blog to see what might inspire and sketch 252 was just what I needed to get rolling. I grabbed the sweet Warmest Wishes girlie, who has been on my wish list for ages, as well as the Hand Lettered Holiday sentiment set and Mountain Range dies then hit my bag of Christmas paper scraps and got busy. I liked how playful this Doodlebug snowflake paper was and it gave Warmest Wishes something to be catching in her coat so I cut it a few times with the mountain dies and layered them for a subtle hint at a mountain range being obscured during this colorful blizzard. I hope it shows how much fun I had putting this card together because I love how it turned out. :)
Okey dokey, have a good one everybody! :)
