A holiday treat for you...

Good morning!

In case you missed it yesterday, Sweet November Stamps just added a companion release to the Gnome for the Holidays collection called, I'll be Gnome for Christmas. This newest collection of digital stamps features three adorable lady gnomes! They are, Gnorma, Gnann and Gnetty and just like Gnorbitt, Gnigel and Gnewton, all three come with a Christmas themed accessory image that can be mixed and matched between the lot of them.

To celebrate the release I went Live yesterday and colored up Gnorma with her basket of homemade goodies. Because I did a snowy night scene during the last Live I thought it would be good to share how I approach a snowy day scene, especially when it involves fun colors that aren't your traditional blue skies. We went over things like aerial perspective and how objects appear lighter and less distinct the further they are in the distance as well as how laying down shadows in a consistent direction is one of the easiest ways to create the appearance of a light source. In any event, a good time was had by all and this lovely card was the end result. :)

Enjoy your weekend everyone!
