Mermaids and water...

TGIF!

Just a quick pop in today as we near the end of this MerMay. I've had this cute Mermaid For Each Other set from My Favorite Things just sitting and waiting to get on a card for a couple years now. Yesterday finally seemed like the perfect day to make that happen and to be honest I think they were just waiting for a slimline card to call home, LOL! I stamped and masked them into a group of friends floating together and got that partially in the water look by first inking them in a grey ink using my Misti then adding black ink to just the part of the stamp that I wanted to be above the water's surface. The seaweed and fish from the Best Fins and Fish You Were Here sets were stamped completely in the lighter grey ink since they are totally submerged. I used lots of bright, happy colors on these fun mermaids and I'm so glad I finally helped them fulfill their stampy destiny.  ;)
