As we start to look forward to the new Seaside collection coming very soon to Purple Onion Designs, I wanted to revisit some of the older summer cuties from Stacey Yacula. Having lived next to a mountain lake for most of my life, I went straight to the Sunshine Lake stamps in my crafty stash. I thought it would be sweet to have Cosmo, the bear, out floating in the water with Peony, the mouse. On the actual Cosmo stamp you can see his feet as he stands and holds the inner tube in place. Because I wanted him to look like he was floating I didn't ink up his legs or feet, which is a super simple way to change up the stamp for a whole new kind of story. I also did some altering to the Lazy River background by once again only inking up the top part of the stamp, leaving me with the hillside and no river. Next I stamped the Rocky Shore down at the bottom of my card, creating the perfect lake for these two friends to be relaxing in. I color coordinated all of their swim gear in one of my most favorite summertime color combos and they just look so happy and cute!
