Best Friends Forever...

Happy Valentine's Day! For this week's Scenic Saturday post over on the Bellariffic blog I thought it would be fun to create a Gal-entine's Day card, celebrating friendship. For the friends, I chose to ink up Oddball Zodiac Capricorn and Oddball Zodiac Aquarius.

One of the great things about the new Oddball Zodiac Girls is that the astrology parts of them are quite subtle and can easily be wiped away using a baby wipe before stamping. This easy technique leaves them looking just like every day ordinary girls. I stamped Oddball Zodiac Capricorn first then masked her off before stamping Oddball Zodiac Aquarius. This allowed me to overlap them slightly, positioning them closely together. While they were both still I masked I completed the scene by stamping the Sketchy Corner Backdrop over top. Once the masks were removed these friends appeared to be enjoying a day out on the town. I colored them in bright, eye-catching outfits to help them really pop against the neutral tones of the cityscape. The sentiment is from the Best Friends Sentiment set and I stamped it on a small tag that I popped up using dimensional adhesive, then decorated with a pair of enamel hearts in colors coordinating with their clothes. I hope this card inspires you to play with easy altering to extend the use of the themed stamps in your stash.  :)
