Olo!Yeah, it's Saturday! And I've got this weekend off... there's no telling what kind of trouble I could get myself into. Though to be honest I'll probably just end up enjoying the sunshine and cleaning up the yard. I want to go into town and get some flowers for the flower pots by the front door, hopefully they have some great colors to choose from. The more orange and pink that I can find, the better. :)
So for today's card I actually inked up a new stamp that I just got this past week. Lili of the Valley recently had a free shipping deal that I took advantage of and I was happy to give this little Blossom a new home. Considering this used to be apple country, I grew up surrounded by the sweet smell of apple blossoms this time of year. And even though the orchards are fewer and further between these days, Blossom on her tree branch was totally calling to me.
I paired her up with the My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline paper pad because the soft pinks reminded me of apple blossoms and the wood grain kinda looks like the bins that we would use come harvest time. Just the right colors and textures for this tree climbing cutie.
Okey dokey ladies, enjoy your weekend! :)

Hey there! So I finished reading A Clash of Kings the other day. OMGoodness, this series just keeps getting better and better! There is magic returning to the world my friends and the pace of the story is becoming quite a ride. I'm already 100 pages or so into A Storm of Swords and I'm finding it hard to tear myself away from the pages. I've been getting less sleep but it is so worth it, LOL!
Ok, onto my card... it's a quickie that I pulled together from the Konnichiwa papers that were still lurking around on my desk. I went to my Stamping Bella binder because it's been quite a while since I've colored up one of my Ketto cuties. Now I'm not sure if I've used Wasabi before or not but I'm still counting her as a stamp to cross of my "must ink up soon" list. :)
I think it is a fun match up and since I kind of had a circle motif going on I went ahead and added that sticker with the symbol on it to complete the cascade. I have no idea what it means but I'm hoping that Basic Grey didn't trick me into adding some crazy sentiment like, "Eat more soup" to the card. So if anyone knows what that translates to, please share!
Well, I should get moving. Lots to do, lots to do!
TTFN!

Hi guys!Today I'm a special guest over at Tiddly Inks for their "Frame the Moment" celebration that is going on this month! When I was invited to participate it was a quick and easy YES from me. I love Christy's sweet characters, especially her Pixies, Buggs and the newest addition to the Tiddly Inks family... Wryn.
So when it was time for me to pick a little Tiddly Inker for my card Spring Bling Wryn won out. With the flowers starting to bloom around here she seemed a natural choice. I really wanted her to have a purple bouquet which also gave me the perfect excuse to to find some papers with a bit of purple in them as well. Wouldn't you know it... My Mind's Eye to the rescue, not only with the papers but also giving me the perfect frame for Wryn and her spring scene. :)
Thanks so much for stopping by today and be sure to check out all the going's on over at Tiddly Inks including 10% off all orders right now. Sweet!

Good morning, good mooorniiing!Ok, I'm going to go all Gleek on you for a moment... so fair warning, LOL! I LOVED last night's episode! Without giving too much away, I was relieved at the direction of the Quinn storyline and still think that it's going to be an interesting one throughout the remainder of the season. But the absolute highlight of the evening for me was guest star Matt Bomer. I had no idea that he could sing but I have thought for some time that he is quite dreamy. Are there any other White Collar fans out there? ;)
He was so fun in his role and you could just tell that he was having a ball with it. That last number between him and Darren Criss where they took on Gotye's "Somebody that I used to know" blew me away. All in all this first show back gets two thumbs way up from me.
And with that, it's back to our regularly scheduled programming, LOL! I made my card today for the brand new challenge over on the Oozak blog and this month's theme is Anything Goes. So I inked up this Some Odd Girl Hey Kaylee stamp that I actually got from the Oozak store. She's such a fun and funky gal and I still have hair envy of a stamp... love her!
The papers and cool canvas buttons were a sweet surprise from my bloggin' buddy, Lisa, and I couldn't wait to cut into that paper pad. Such gorgeous colors and funky prints that suited Kaylee really well. Thanks again Lisa! :)
Okey dokey, to work I must go.
Later gators!

Hi-dee-ho stamp-a-reenos!
Finally, after too long of a wait, I get to look forward to a new episode of Glee tonight! The last one ended on such a cliff hanger and I am anxious to find out what happened to Quinn and where the rest of the season will go. Yep, I can't help it, I'm gleeking out just a bit right now. :)
Moving right along to today's card... this little Pure Innocence has been stamped and sitting on my desk for a few weeks so it was high time (get it? "high" time? LOL Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all week...) to color her up and give her a home. I also had this new sheet of Bella Blvd paper with all those great colorful clouds that I wanted to use too. Talk about a perfect match. :)
I also drew in some extra string on the kite to give it more length than the original stamp. And the layout design is pretty simple but the colors make me happy, as does the card.
Alrighty friends... have a gleeful Tuesday!

Hi friends!I hope that you had a lovely weekend whether you were celebrating Easter or not. The weather was absolutely beautiful here in my little corner of the world and I couldn't have enjoyed myself more. :)
Now that the holiday is done and over it feels pretty wide open as to what types of cards I can make. All this freedom and wouldn't you know it, I make another very spring looking card. Yes, I used more Dear Lizzy but I swear I am almost through the small pile of scraps that I've been trying to use up of it. That doesn't mean I don't have a whole little 6x6 pad of it waiting in the wings but at least it won't be staring me in the face each time that I try to clean my desk, LOL! And I'm back on my mission of inking up neglected stamps. This little beauty is Hazel from Sugar Nellie's Fairy Glen collection. I LOVE these little fairies and I got her ages ago but still she sat, waiting ever so patiently on that mushroom of hers. I think the spring pastels really suit her though so the wait seems to have been worth it. And I'm entering Hazel into this week's open challenge over at Flutter By because I know she'll fit right in over there. ;)
Well, another Monday means another day of work so I guess I should go get ready for it.
Toodles!
