The whole night sky...

Hey there!

It's been way too long since I've colored up one of the many Tiddly Inks images in my stamping stash so I had to do something about that. It was a hard choice narrowing down who would make it on a card for today but since Wryn has always been a favorite, this sweet image quickly became the winner. The digital stamp is called, Wish Upon a Star, and right away it tells a story to me which is a huge factor in how I find myself drawn to certain stamps over others. Right away I could just picture these two laying out under a vast, starry sky with a lake and trees in the distance. So I grabbed my markers and set about to turn that idea into an actual card. Because the current Tiddly Inks challenge is Clean and Simple I decided to keep the color palette paired down as well. Then all I had to do was find the perfect sentiment and this card was done, can't you hear the crickets chirping in the distance? I gotta say it felt really good to get my Tiddly Inks on again, LOL! :)

Later gators!

No peeking...

Good morning!

Can you believe we are officially only one week away from Christmas day?! OMGoodness I feel like I still have so much to do! Makes me wish I had a pause button I could press for a day or two, LOL! Anywho... I completely fell in love with this sweet elf from Tiddly Inks and when I saw that the current challenge is "Be Merry" I knew that Elf Delivery Service would be perfect for playing along. I just can't resist a tiny, little elf piled high with gifts for Santa's sleigh, probably because he reminds me of myself when I come home from a day of shopping and I don't want to make more than one trip getting everything in the house. ;)

Speaking of which, I've got to get ready to run to town this morning. Hopefully this is the last shopping trip of the season and everything will finally be crossed off my list. Wish me luck! :)

Frightfully fun Halloween...

Hello, hello!

I couldn't let Halloween pass by without getting a Tiddly Inks cutie on a card and Peek-a-Boo Bugg was really talking to me. So I printed her out and colored her up but with no further plan in mind. There she was looking all bright and colorful but without any place to 'live'. I couldn't settle on a background for her until my sister suggested she be on a front porch with the door and window in the background. I liked the idea but I was a bit intimidated by the idea of just free hand coloring in all that architecture. So I took a deep breath, grabbed a ruler and got to sketching. It actually came together much quicker than I thought it would and I love how the white clapboard siding makes it all look very cheery and inviting. You know me and my love of black kitties so of course I had to add one in the window peeking out at Peek-a-Boo Bugg. It looks to me like she is a little trick-or-treater posing for a picture before getting out there and getting some candy. Love!  :)

Hello...

Hey there!

So last May I blew up Forget Me Not Wryn to 'big head' size and had so much fun coloring her that I vowed to do the same with her two other floral sisters. Now here we are a year later and I am finally making that happen. This time I super sized Lilly Wryn and went super bright and colorful with her flowers. And I didn't limit the coloring to her, I've had this cool coloring washi tape just waiting for the perfect card and this one was it. I wanted the tape to look more watercolor-ish so I used my colorless blender to pick up the colors and it really did the trick. Because I have all this flower goodness going on I'm going to enter this card into the current "blooming beautiful" challenge.  :)

Hey there...

TGIF!

My day is going to be busy, busy so this post will have to be short and sweet. It has been too long since I colored up a Tiddly Inks cutie so I went searching through my collection and found Ellie Says Hi. How has this darling girl gone this long before getting on a card? Well the wait for Ellie to fulfill her crafty destiny was over and I paired her up with some older papers from Imaginisce because the spring time colors totally suited her cheery personality. The result is a happy little card that was a lot of fun to put together. :)

Have a great weekend everybody!

Spooky, creepy...

Olo!

Another day, another Halloween card made for another challenge. This one is for the 'Spookalicious' challenge at Tiddly Inks and I printed out the new Halloweeny Molly for the occasion. I mean who can resist all that glorious hair, it was so much fun to color. She's such a magical little witch that I was inspired to pull out a stencil and inked up a glowing background for her to bask in. Then I added some pretty glitter paper and glitter bats for added sparkle and the card really came together. I think that Molly is sure to cast a spell on anyone who might get this card in the mail.  ;)

Toodles!

You brighten my days...

Mornin' friends!

I know that I've colored up this lovely Poppy digi from Tiddly Inks before but it's been a couple years at least so she's practically new again, LOL! This time I've paired her up with this lovely floral paper from the Bo Bunny Butterfly Kisses paper pad which totally inspired the soft blue flower she's holding along with the rest of the Copic colors used to color her up. The floral paper is so classically pretty that I went with a fairly traditional layout design that would allow it and Poppy to shine. Though I do think I went a bit outside the box by stamping the sentiment right over the main image... what a rebel I am, LOL!   ;)

Alrighty then, thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Birthday...

Good morning!

Did you see the happy news? My wish on Friday's post for Pixie Mermaids from Tiddly Inks has come true in record time! Christy has created a set of six amazing mer pals called Amy and her Mini Mermaid Friends and I'm totally flattered to have inspired these cuties. I love them all so much that I couldn't decide on just one for my card today so I put a group of them together and created a little mini mermaid party. I mean seriously, how cute are they?! I'm also entering this card into the current "tingo challenge" with a pattern paper, Tiddly Inks image, distressing combination.

Big HUGE thanks to Christy for making this mermaid obsessed crafter a very happy girl. :)

Mermaid to be friends...

TGIF!

I needed something quick to color yesterday as my day was quite busy and there wasn't a lot of time for coloring. I looked through all my mermaid stamps and everything was looking a bit too involved. It got me wishing that there were some pixie style mermaids from Tiddly Inks. Hmmmm... I have an old stamp set of Tiddly Inks pixies that was sold by Stamping Bella, it probably wouldn't be too hard to wipe away their bodies and draw in new little mermaid tails. OMGoodness, why have I not done this alteration sooner? They are SO stinkin' cute and now I'm totally hoping that Christy Croll will make a few mermaid pixies for the store someday soon. Fingers crossed!

Alrighty folks, have a wonderful weekend!  :)

A Happy Hello...

Good morning!

Today I've got a Tiddly Inks card to share and I made it for the current 'anything goes' challenge. I super sized Forget Me Not Wryn and printed her out so that she filled most of the space on the front of the card. Instead of going with actual Forget Me Nots I decided to color her flowers up to look more like apple blossoms since we just had our annual Apple Blossom festival this past weekend. Since there was so much hair to play with I tried out a new-to-me Copic combo that I got from Lizzy, who is an amazing colorist, and I really love how it turned out. The whole card just seems to bring to mind a sunny, spring afternoon. :)

Ok, I'm outta here. Later gators!

Like you a lot...

Olo!

I've got one final Tiddly Inks valentine to share before the big day. Heartfelt Love is the third of three Valentine cuties that I got recently and I really wanted to get them all on cards before the 14th. And go me, I did it! I even think that I may have saved my favorite for last as I just love how little artist Wryn has gone all out with her Valentine decorations. That's why I paired her up with this fun sentiment from Paper Smooches, it's like she's trying to show how much love she has by the number of hearts she has painted.  ;)
And I might as well go ahead and enter this card into the 'love' challenge over on the Tiddly Inks blog right along with the rest.

Later gators!  :)

My heart is happy...

TGIF my friends!

I've got another Tiddly Inks Valentine to share today, this time the sweet Grow A Little Love Wryn is the star of the show. I guess I can't get over those cute heart shaped flowers, LOL! I wish the photo showed it better but that embossed heart background adds a lot more detail to this CAS design than it shows here. I even used Copics to color a few of them which really became the only embellishment on this card... talk about simple. I'm gonna go ahead and throw this card into the current 'love' challenge over at Tiddly Inks too.

Alrighty, I've got to get ready for my trip to town. Have a great weekend everbody!  :)

Happy Heart Day...

Good morning!

I'm running behind on a very busy day already so this post will have to be a quickie. It's been too long since I've inked up a Tiddly Inks cutie so today I thought I would share a sweet Valentine that I made using the Bloom Beautifully Emma digi. Talk about adorable... I love those heart shaped flowers that she comes with... it makes for a very fun and whimsical scene. The card design stayed pretty clean and simple with just a touch of stitching and a sprinkling of sequins to add embellishment but when you have an image as adorable as Emma what else do you need? And I am also going to enter this card into the current 'love' challenge over on the Tiddly Inks blog. :)

The moon laughs and whispers...

Good morning!

How about a little Tiddly Inks love today with this sweet kitty from the Set of Kittys? His crazy fuzzy fur totally reminds me of my crazy Smokey Joe so of course I had to turn him into a black cat for this Halloween card. This time around I grabbed the Halloween Scene stamp from CC Designs and did a bit of altering to make it fit the design I had in mind. I did that by stamping it three different times... once for the moon so that I could shift it to the left and twice to piece together a longer fence. I also got creative with inks and a stencil from Simon Says to lay the ground work for the entire scene... if I'm honest it took me three tries to finally get it right because I was having issues. As I was tossing attempt number two in the trash I was thinking why oh why didn't I just grab my beloved pattern paper? LOL! But when it all finally came together I was so proud of myself for having stepped outside my comfort zone and tried something new. :)

Later gators!

Hi-ya sweets...

Hello, hello!

Things are heating back up in my neck of the woods so this seemed to be the perfect time to play along in the "Summer Song" challenge over at Tiddly Inks. I was inspired by the old Diamond Rio song, Sweet Summer... especially the first verse;

"He had a freezer full of bomb pops
push ups, drum sticks and dreamcicles.
And a paint chipped change box
full of sticky quarters, dimes and nickles.
It was automatic when we heard that song
run home and get your money before he's gone...
"

This Wryn from the Sweets for my Sweet set totally embodied that memory of buying ice cream from an ice cream truck on a hot summer afternoon. Especially when I paired her up with this paper from Doodlebug's Sunkissed collection... talk about setting the scene, LOL! All I needed to add was the sentiment in a little word bubble and I had a finished card. :)

Alrighty, thanks so much for stopping by. I'll catch ya later!

Magic of friendship...

Hi guys!

Look what I got over the weekend! I had ordered this super cute new stamp, called Magical Friendship, from Tiddly Inks when it was released and I am so glad that it came in time to help wrap up this month of mermaid cards. I can't tell you how much this image spoke to me as soon as I saw it. It reminds me so much of when I was a little girl swimming at the lake, dreaming of mermaids hiding just out of sight in the deep blue waters. Though I was never as lucky as Wryn to meet my own mermaid friend, there are still times when I find myself imagining grand underwater adventures.  :)

Ok friends, I'm off to work.

Make a wish...

Hey there!

I recently took advantage of a sale over at Tiddly Inks and got my hands on this fabulous Willow Fairy stamp and a couple of her friends. She arrived in my mailbox this past weekend and I just had to get her on a card right away. So I inked Willow up and decided to check out the current Tiddly Inks challenge before getting started on my card. The theme is 'May Flowers' which is nice and broad so of course I'm going to play along. I know that the print on the paper I pulled is technically dandelions but hey, one person's weed is another person's flower... LOL! Seriously, my backyard is full of the little yellow blossoms no matter what I do so I'm counting it as a May flower. ;)

Alrighty, time for me to mosey. I've got one day off and hopefully enough hours to get everything I need to get done, done.

Berry much...

Hi-ya!

I made today's card to join in the current Tiddly Inks challenge, 'So Sweet'. I had this raspberry paper from Jillibean Soup and wanted to pair it with this small canning jar die from Memory Box. Then I grabbed my Peachy Pixie rubber stamp, which is technically from Stamping Bella, but the digi version is available in the Tiddly Inks store. I cut her away from the branch she is originally sitting on and placed Peachy on my sentiment strip instead. Sure she is tiny but it totally looks like she is enjoying some sweet raspberry jam... yummm! ;)

Alrighty, I'll see y'all again tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by!  :)

Somebunny...

Hello, hello!

My Easter card today features Wryn from the Somebunny clear set over at Tiddly Inks. Because she came with all those extra bunnies, of course I had to stamp them into a whole scene to be front and center in this design. Wryn is such a super cutie and I had so much fun coloring her in these slightly brighter than pastel colors that were pulled directly from this old KI Memories paper. Sigh... KI may have been defunct as a company for years and years now but I still adore everything they ever made. Which, silly as it seems, sometimes makes it hard for me to actually cut into the papers that I still have. Happily, I feel that this card turned out KI worthy, LOL! ;)
I'm also playing along in the "charming" challenge at the Tiddly Inks challenge blog with this card. Luckily for me I still have a bunch of random charms that I got a decade ago from one of those QVC scrapbooking shows. It's been a long wait but this Easter Egg charm has finally fulfilled its crafty destiny, LOL!

Ok, time for the usual get ready for work morning routine.
Have a good one everybody!

Have my heart...

Hey there!

I hope you aren't getting tired of Valentines because this entire week is going to be dedicated to getting the last of my happy heart day cards up on the blog before the big day on Saturday.
Today's card features the Loving Pixie digital stamp from Tiddly Inks and I'm entering it into the Tingo challenge over there as well. Tingo is Tiddly Inks Bingo and I went diagonal across the board to use dies and ribbon with Loving Pixie. For the dies I used a stitched circle from MFT and some Mini Hearts from Simon Says. I covered the hearts with glossy accents to give them a nice shine. And the ribbon is pretty obvious with that big bow right above Loving there. The paper is more Hugs and Kisses from Simple Stories and I'm really diggin' that black thrown into the mix. It makes for a pretty and modern looking Valentine's Day card. :)

Okey dokey then, I'm going to get ready for the day.
TTYL!
