Eee! Season 3 of Downton is off to such a great start! I honestly didn't want the hour to end. What with the wedding, the continuing murder mystery, health scares, money troubles and crazy American relatives... it doesn't get much better than that. ;)
It's been quite a while since I've inked up any Kraftin' Kimmie stamps so today's card seemed like a good chance to rectify that situation. I've been waiting for the perfect excuse to use Aphrodite on a Valentine's card as it seems a holiday particularly suited to her. And while the Basic Grey papers are a Valentine's line I really liked the nontraditional shots of yellow added to the pink and brown combo as it helps to make this goddess of love pop off the card. I even broke out the heat gun and embossing powder to add a golden frame around the edge... techniques like that always make me feel particularly crafty.
Alrighty then, time to start off this brand new week. Have a good one my friends!

Have a little Faythe...
Hey there!
It's Sunday and do you know what I'm excited for? Tonight the third season of Downton Abbey starts up here in the U.S.! I have recently fallen head over heels in love with this show and I can't wait to dive back into all the drama. Come 9pm nothing is moving me off my couch, LOL!
So for my card today I chose a Tiddly Inks digi to print out and color up. This adorable little lady is Faythe and she is one of the newer characters that Christy has created. Isn't she just the total charmer? I couldn't wait to pair her up with the Nostalgia paper pad because there was something about her look that I thought would go really great with the vintage colors and patterns of these papers. And have I mentioned that I love coloring curly hair... it's so much fun! :)
Alrighty, I've got the day off today but that doesn't mean there isn't plenty to keep me busy... until 9pm that is. ;)
Laters!

Number one...
TGIF stampin' peeps!
Brrr, brrr, brrr! The temps here haven't risen above the mid twenties all week and I feel positively frozen. No new snow has fallen, knock on wood, but you can't go outside without feeling like it's the new ice age. I wouldn't be surprised to see a woolly mammoth strolling across the yard any day now. ;)
Anywho, I've got another card that I made earlier for the previews at All That Scraps this past week. This one features Li'l Lad Baby Frankie. These four Lolita tots from the January release are the first brand spankin' new designs to be made into rubber since they made the move to ATS from Tickled Pink Stamps and boy are they adorable! I think that little Frankie looks like he just woke up from a nap and is ready to play. And it was fun pairing him up with an older Basic Grey paper pad that has been waiting a long time to see some use... the distressing and darker colors just seemed to suit him well.
Alrighty, time for me to bundle up and get ready for another cold one. I hope you guys are staying a bit warmer! :)
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It
paper- Basic Grey (Oliver)
stamps- Lil Lad (Baby Frankie), Inkadinkado (kid quote)

Fuzzy wuzzy was a bear...
Good morning!
Guess who got to go see The Hobbit on Sunday?! Oh yes it was me and I love, love, loved it! I suppose I should throw out a disclaimer that the LOTR trilogy is my most favorite movie/s of all time, so this isn't much of a leap, but I already can't wait for the second part of The Hobbit to come out. Seriously, I know that the movies are like three hours long but I could have kept on watching by the time the credits rolled. :)
As for today's card, I made this one earlier in the week for the new January CC Designs release. The stamp is actually Baby Bear Beatrice but I think the bear outfit makes for a pretty gender neutral image so I went with a boy card. The design is simple and sweet and it's not often that I get to pull out cute baby papers so it was fun to put the Doodlebug to work.
All of the January release stamps will be available tonight in the ATS store and there is still another day to get entered for a chance to win the Sweet November January stamps below.
I hope the new year is off to a great start for you! :)
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It
paper/tag- Doodlebug (baby)
stamps- CC Designs (Baby Bear Beatrice), Amy R (Welcome Little One sentiment), Papertrey Ink (Sew Stitches border)
ink- Memento tuxedo black and espresso truffle, Colorbox creamy brown
buttons
ribbon

hair- E50, E51, E53

It's naptime in Sweet November...
So today we are actually going to travel into the world of Sweet November land to see what a magical fairy nursery is like. It's hidden away in the most lovely little garden on the edge of the misty meadows where the bumble bees act as nursemaids to their precious charges.
In the beds of roses bushes there are wee baby fairies tucked away in the leaves. Each one wrapped tight in gossamer swaddling. Over in the walnut grove the squirrels are rocking the baby fairies to sleep in their half shell cradles while the birds up above sing lilting lullabies. And over in the wild flower field where the sweet peas climb an old stone wall, you can spy fairy babies bobbing and swaying in the pea pods as a gentle breeze passes by. They are all so tiny and completely adorable, it's hard to resist the temptation of putting one in your pocket to take home. But those bumble bee nursemaids look as if they would give us a sting or two if we tried, so instead we will just have to be content with one lucky gal taking home a bit of fairy candy instead... take a look...
The Sleeping Baby Fairies candy kit includes; one Sweet November Sleeping Baby Fairies rubber stamp set, ten 6x6 sheets of Bazzill Vintage Marketplace paper, Prima flowers and Kaiser Craft pearls, ribbon, twine, buttons, ribbon roses, paper doilies, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card.
All you have to do for a chance to win the candy is leave a comment on this post. If you link to the candy on your own blog that is great and much appreciated but not a requirement... I want everyone to be able to play along. And when I say everyone, I mean everyone. I will ship the candy anywhere in the world so everyone is encouraged to play! :)
The candy will stay open through Friday, January 4th and I will announce the winners on Saturday, January 5th.
Don't forget to check out the Sweet November Gals' blogs! Nancy and Marion have created precious cards to get you cootchie cooing! :)
Instead of using random generator I will be printing out names and tossing them in a hat SO if you leave comments for the SN gals on their blogs, you will get an extra name in the hat for each one that you do... this will up your chances of winning the candy... fun, fun, fun!
And that wraps things up here for the Sweet November January release. Be sure to head on over to the ATS blog for even more Sweet November sneak peeks and chances to win. Then be watching the store for all of the new January stamps to hit the shelves Thursday night!

More candy in the nursery...
Shhh...
baby is sleeping as we tip toe into the Sweet November nursery.
Watching over the little bundle of joy are the Safari Nursery Pals. The
stuffed monkey is dangling from a shelf and making funny faces for laughs and giggles. While the
stuffed giraffe is using its long neck to peek into the crib. And the stuffed lion is keeping baby warm and cozy as they snuggle together. These warm and
fuzzy pals know that they have years ahead of them playing and
comforting sweet baby as he grows up and they couldn't ask for anything
more.
As we gently close the nursery door behind us there just so happens to be a bit of candy for one lucky crafter. Take a look...
