Freaky Flutter has found her legs

Hi-dee ho neighbor-eenos (I think I'm channeling my inner Ned Flanders this morning) ;)

So I've got one more altered Creepy Cake and I've got to say... Freaky Flutter is decidedly less twisty than her friends. Hmmm... note to self: I may need to open her eyes and tweak her out a bit sometime soon... in the meantime this sweet little miss is here to brighten the day. :)

For all three of my Creepy Cakes cards I've been digging into my prized 'collection' of KI Memories papers. Back in their heyday KI was my all time fave paper company, their style changed though so I've since found new favorites but I still love their older stuff and I sometimes have a hard time actually using it. But after all the time I spent altering these gals I knew they warranted something special and the Pieces of Me line had the perfect look to go with them. I gotta say, I'm pretty proud of myself for finally cutting into it! ;)

Anywho, that's probably more than any of you ever cared to know about me and my little paper obsession but I just thought I'd share, LOL.

Well, I'd better go get ready for work... talk at ya later!

Another cakester has lost her frosting

Monday, Monday... are you ready to start a brand new week?

After my nice couple days off I have to say that I'm feeling pretty refreshed and ready to tackle what ever comes my way. And between all the have-to-do's you better believe I'm still playing with my stamps and paper. ;)
Case in point is today's card. As you can see I'm still busy playing around with the new Creepy Cake digis and once again there is a whole lot of altering going on. Some of you asked how I was altering these and because they are digis and I couldn't just wipe away ink like I normally do, I had to take the images into photoshop and digitally erase the lines that I wanted to replace. Once that was done I printed them out and drew in their new bodies. Like I said yesterday, I may be officially insane for the time I spent doing this but I was just having way too much fun. :)

So this is my version of Twisted Tea. Not only did I give her a new body but I also changed her bangs a bit so that I could open up her other eye. I still pulled my inspiration for her dress from the original cake, like the striped ribbons and the skull, she's just got two feet to stand on now... and some killer high heeled boots, LOL!
Well, that's all I've got for today but Freaky Flutter is coming up tomorrow if you wanna check back then. :)

Peace out! Supply list:

Creepy? Perhaps... Cake? Not so much...

Hello, hello!
How's everyone this morning? Good I hope. :)

So yesterday I spent some of my free time playing around with the new Creepy Cakes digis from TGF... I gotta say that I'm quite smitten with their twisty quirkiness but I wanted to change things up a bit and give them actual bodies rather than the cake ones. I probably spent more time altering these cuties than any sane stamper ever would but I was enjoying the challenge of creating dresses inspired by the original cakes.
This is my version of Royal Pain all decked out in her best party dress and I think she totally lives up to the 'more spice than sugar' sentiment. Is it obvious that I was having way too much fun with this? What can I say... a little dark and twisty isn't always a bad thing. ;)

Ok, it's off to work I go but check back tomorrow when I'll have an altered Twisted Tea to share.

Toodles!

Pixie perfect

Well hello there and happy Saturday to you my friends!

I got quite a bit crossed off my to-do list yesterday... which feels great I must say, so I've given myself permission to just take it easy today. No schedule, no plans, no problems... well at least that's how I hope it goes. :)

So when I saw that this week's inspiration at the Flutter By challenge came from a Tinkerbell image I knew I was going to go way literal with my card. Mostly because I've had this clear Tink stamp set for over a year and it had never seen ink yet so I figured this was the perfect time to rectify that situation. ;)

Now I gotta say that I bought this set before I found TGF and was then introduced into this whole amazing world of crazy cool image stamps so even though I love Tink and her fellow pixie pals I was a tad disappointed with the teeny size once I got her inked and on paper... she's not much bigger than a Ketto fairy. This paired with the fact that the stamp is acrylic and not rubber and I can honestly say the image is not nearly as sharp or as detailed as it could be.
Yikes! Does this mean I am becoming a stamp snob?! ;)

Still, I'm glad I finally showed these stamps some love 'cause like I said, I love Tink and her friends... big shocker there, right? :) Hey, at least she was super quick to color and since I had some Disney Fairy paper in my stash that made the rest of the card super quick to put together too. As you can see I didn't do anything very creative with the background... it's kinda my quick 'go-to' layout scheme but I do like how this one came together in the end. And that's what matters most, right?

Anywho... I hope you are enjoying your day and getting some 'me time' for yourself as well. I think I hear my craft room calling me so I'll catch y'all tomorrow. :)

Later!

Make like a tree and leave

LOL!
Good morning! :)

Yeah for days off... though to be honest I've got quite a bit to do around here so it's not like I can just sit and chill all day. Still, it always feels good to get a lot crossed off the old to-do list so that's the game plan for the day.

My card today is for this week's Quixotic challenge to use leaves on your project... and wouldn't ya know that this paper from the new WeR card kit I was telling you about a few days ago fit the bill perfectly so I just had to use it! Once the paper was chosen it was time to pick out a stamp and this Kraftin Kimmie Clara stamp came to mind... again, perfect. :)
Though I did do a smidge of altering on her by wiping away the scarf from around her neck and changing the cuffs on her sleeves just so she would look a bit more springy. Now doesn't it look like Clara and her bird friend were just made to go with that paper? I also added a Verve sentiment to one of the chipboard pieces that came with the kit and threw in a few Prima leaves for good measure.
Once again, another quick yet fun card all thanks to some card kit goodness... awwww it's the little things that make me happy. ;)

Have a great one my friends! Supply list:
cardstock- Paper Trey Ink

Spots and stripes

Yeah! It's Thursday, which is my Friday this week as I have the next two days off... sweet! :)
Can you tell I'm pretty excited about that? LOL

So I don't know how many of you are watching American Idol this season but can I just say that so far all it's done for me is make me long even more for the return of my beloved Glee so I can hear some good singing again... yeesh. There are a couple contestants that show some promise but all in all this entire group just seems so much weaker than the last few seasons. I don't know, maybe I've just been too spoiled by Glee in this past year that everything else is now falling short. Can you tell I am reeeeeally ready for Glee to start back up? Withdrawls are totally kickin' in and I don't think my DVDs are gonna cut it anymore. ;)

Ok, onto why you're all here... my card today is for this week's ATS challenge which is to use dots and stripes. I knew I wanted to play with BB Daffodil again and this time I went really soft and mellow in the colors which the Cosmo Cricket Earth Love was perfect for. Oh and I also threw in the little bun-bun from the Spring Elves set as the lucky recipient of that pretty flower BB has picked to complete the scene. :)

So now it's your turn to play along and this week the prize is your choice of any TWO individual stamps sold in the ATS store! Woot woot! Just remember that in order to be eligible to win, your card must include a stamp that is sold in the All That Scraps store. Whether it is any of our wonderful in house designs or from the various other stamp companies that ATS carries, the choice is yours. Then be sure to link up your creation with Mr Linky by next Tuesday at 10pm est and only one entry per person please!

For the love of paper

Why, hello there my friends!

I hope all is right in your world this morning.
My world just keeps on spinning... even faster now after the earthquake in Chili according to those NASA scientists. No wonder I've been feeling dizzy trying to get everything done, I'm losing time! LOL
Ok, ok... so maybe I can't blame my to-do list craziness on natural disasters but at least I can say I tried. ;)

So I've got a fun Wild Card Wednesday challenge for y'all over at the CA&Friends blog today... and you shouldn't be surprised when you see that it's all about the pattern papers on this one. Yep, I challenge you to use 5 or more different pattern papers on your card this week... insert evil chuckle here. Oh how I loves me some pretty papers! So start diggin' through your paper stash and see how many you can mix and match on your card. :)

I received the brand new Moments sentiment set that I won from Little Paper Shop recently and as soon as I saw this great quote I knew exactly who needed to play on my card today and just what papers would be perfect too. So I printed out cutie H&G Rain and paired her with my new My Mind's Eye papers... doesn't she just look like she is dancing in the rain now? Gotta love that!

Now it's your turn to show me all the fun ways you can think of to play with your paper and I can't wait to see! :)
