Sending my love...

Hey, hey!

Guess who is feeling good about sticking to her personal crafty challenge to get more of the older stamps in her stash onto cards this year? It's this girl! Yep, this time around I was flipping through my Purple Onion Designs binder and this sweet bunny, Carmel, caught my eye. I know I've used her once before but this time around I wanted to go in a whole different direction and give her a very spring inspired background to live in. So I pulled out the Wildflowers stamp and the Birch Trees Background to give her a lovely little grove to call home. You might notice that the birch trees look different than they originally stamp and it's because I simply did some selective inking of only three of the trees and moved the stamp here and there between ink applications, allowing me to space them how I wanted them on the card. I love getting more mileage out of my stamps like that! I finished it all off with this great sentiment from the Essential Thoughts sentiment set and and a few pretty pastel embellishments from my crafty stash. :)

Toodles!

A fun filled day...

Hello again!

It's a post and run kind of day so really quickly I just wanted to share this cutie from Mo's Digital Pencil that I've had sitting on my desk forever. She is called Pretty Purse and she certainly looks like she is ready to shop 'til she drops. I think that's probably what held things up for so long, apparently I was just waiting for the awesome Store Fronts digi set from The Greeting Farm to create the perfect backdrop for her. Now this sweet gal is ready to hit her first boutique of the day! :)

Later gators!

You make me happy...

Good morning!

I'm on the Hello Bluebird blog today with a fun spring inspired card using a mix of older stamps, including the Old Oak background stamp which will soon be re-released as a clear stamp! That's right, all of the older rubber background stamps will be re-released on March 4th as clear stamps making them much easier to keep in stock. There's also a handful of gorgeous new scene builders coming that are totally going to knock your socks off!

When I sat down to create this card I started to think ahead to March and the windy days that happen all month long, blowing out the snow and cold in order to help usher in the calmer and gentler days of later spring. The best part of those March days has always been the chance to enjoy some serious kite flying. So when I saw this cute mouse in the Fly a Kite set I knew just what I wanted to do. First I stamped the mouse and kite using Memento London Fog ink on Copic friendly card stock. Next I stamped the cloud from the Pathway background by simply inking only the lines that make up the billowing, blowing cumulus using a Soft Stone ink. I then added some seeds from the Field Mice set flying on that same breeze as well as a sentiment from the Rainbow Script set.Using the Soft Stone ink once again I stamped the Old Oak background on coordinating Soft Stone card stock, then die cut it using the Gallery Frame #4 die. The color palette of this entire card doesn't veer very far from that gray and yellow combo, totally playing towards that sentiment I chose. To add a bit of interest and a pop of fun to the over-all design I stamped the kite itself on a separate scrap of card stock and colored it to match the rest of the card. I then fussy cut it out and used foam adhesive to add it over top the frame that had been glued into place. Now it looks like that strong breeze is blowing our little mouse friend right out of the picture.

I love how this card proves you don't always have to use every stamp in the set to tell a great story... heck you don't even have to use all of a single stamp! LOL

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  :)

More magical...

Hey there!

We released two new Centaurette digis at Sweet November Stamps yesterday, Kaia Sweetriver and Epona Windsong. These lovelies join Fauna Meadowdancer as the resident centaurs of Sweet November Land.
To help usher in their arrival I did a Live coloring video over on my Facebook page where we created this slimline scene using Epona Windsong paired with the Riverbed background builder. As always, there were a lot of great suggestions offered up for the various color combos and we settled on these pretty purples and dusky pinks that I then mirrored up in the sunset sky as well. I really couldn't be more pleased with the end result.  :)

Thanks for popping in today!

Beautiful...

Hello, hello!

Looking at the Sweet November Stamps shop recently it seemed to me that our only centaurette, Fauna Meadowdancer, was feeling a bit lonely. There are all sorta of fairies and mermaids to be found so it was high time Fauna got had some friends join her. Please say hello to Epona Windsong and Kaia Sweetriver.
My card today features Kaia Sweetriver and as her name suggests I thought it would be fun to have her cooling off in the fresh, clean waters of a sylvan spring
. To help sell that story I grabbed the watery reeds from the Surfacing background builder set as well as a few fish from the Tide Mayfin digital set. The sentiment is also another digi that can be found as a freebie in the store. Kaia looks so pretty and peaceful as she whiles away the afternoon with her personal grooming but soon she will be back out in the fields, frolicking and racing with her fellow centaurettes.

Now be sure to go check out the Friends of Sweet November Stamps group on Facebook for even more Centaurette release inspiration from Caitlin, Melissa and our fabulous guest designer, Margootje Laeremans!

I will also be coloring the other new centaurette, Epona Windsong, Live this morning at 11am PST on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page so I hope to see ya there!

You can also find us on Instagram @sweetnovemberstamps and don't forget to use the #sweetnovemberstamps any time you share a card or project using SN images so we can see all of your beautiful makes!
