I'm up on the Bellarific blog for another Scenic Saturday post. Gardening can be such a big part of these end of summer days and all of that playing in the dirt inspired me to ink up this quirky Oddball Gardener. Sure, the Oddballs can be seen as dark and twisty but I thought Oddball Gardener would look cute in pink polka dots and a kerchief. With the sunny yellow sky glowing behind her, there really isn't anything dark about her. Sure, from the look of the plants 'growing' in those pots she may not have the greenest thumb but that doesn't mean that Oddball Gardener doesn't love trying. As big as this stamp is, she really fills an A2 card front quite substantially, so I didn't need to add a lot to create a background scene. A few layers of bushes framing her on either side, creates a peaceful space for this gardener to get her hands dirty and grow a new friend or two. The sentiment is from the Garden Sentiment set and I stamped it in a green ink to match the greenery in the scene.
