Interrupting the pre-posts with an update

Hi guys,

First off, thank you all so much for all the prayers and positive thoughts for my mom these past few days. They mean so much to me and I know in my heart of hearts that they are helping. :)
Currently she is still in the ICU and still on the ventilator to help with her breathing. But her numbers are improving a little bit each day and we are hoping that the breathing tube will be removed soon because she is just miserable with it in. It's easy to feel helpless when all she wants is some water and you can't give her any. Her nurses are doing a great job though so I know that she is in good hands. Please continue to keep Patti in your thoughts and prayers as it is looking like this is going to be a long road to recovery.

So yea, things might be a little quieter around here than usual and I apologize for not making it around to all of your beautiful blogs as regularly. I am still coloring during the down times, as it is a relaxing way to get my mind off things, so all I'll have to do is eventually get those colored images onto some cards. Thanks for sticking with me and I'll leave you with something pretty even if it doesn't have any coloring on it... this is a card that I made for a recent class that I taught and I was pretty pleased with how it came together.

Big hugs! ♥

Hi Amy, I am so glad to hear that you Mom is gettting better. Believe me when I say that my whole family is thinking of your family everyday. Our prayers are with you all and like you I know they will help. I am just so sorry that your Mom is so sick. Hopefully they get rid of that ventilator real real soon. Now, a mini laugh to share with you. I think your card is just adorable and sometimes I really enjoy the ones that we make that have not Copics involved. However as I was admiring your card I was just going to ask Jerry what AEIO ment when it finally clicked in this (old) brain what the whole sentiment was. lmbo.. Yes my friend that is how brain damaged I can be. :O) Today is my Birthday and I have to tell you how much you made my day yesterday. Thank you thank you, thank you. I love my gifts very very much. I am assuming that the flowers and butterflies are your sister's handy work. I love them! You need to let me know her name so that I can send her a card. Hugs, Lisa

Amy, I'm really glad to learn that your mom is making some progress and hopefully will get rid of the breathing tube soon. I'm sure having you by her side is very comforting to her, too. Keeping you both in my thoughts and hoping for Patti's continued progress.

Hey Amy
Its great to hear that your mom is improving little by little. I know what you mean about feeling useless when you just want to help your mom I am the same with my mom who has an on going illness and you just to don't know what to say or do. Just know that you have a lot of people who are standing by your side and sending you and your mom love and well wishes and that a lot of people are keeping you and your mom in their prayers and in their thoughts.
Best Wishes and hugs to you and your mom
