Hey there!
Only two more days 'til Christmas and that meant it was time to get these sweet Rooftop Reindeer from Hello Bluebird on a card. I just adore the retro look of these reindeer, they make me nostalgic and take me back to my childhood admiring the little plastic reindeer ornaments hanging on my grandma's tree. That and the cool rooftop chimney that is included really sold me on this set, the scene building possibilities were quite intriguing. I really wanted to create a snapshot capturing Santa's team making a rooftop delivery so I had to get creative with my stamping. First I stamped the chimney then I masked it off and stamped the seated reindeer deer directly behind it. This is a pretty simple way of creating the illusion that the reindeer is standing along side the rest of the team. The other obstacle I ran into was that one of the deer in the set is facing the wrong direction for this scene so I had to pull out my mirroring stamp to flip him around. Once that was done I simply colored them up adding the harness to them at the very end. :)
Later gators!
