Good morning!
I've had this Cozy Fall Critters scene pairing Chandler Chipmunk with a super enlarged Tree House printed out and sitting on my desk since their release. Because I didn't get around to coloring it in the Fall I though it would be fun to color them into a winter landscape instead. I did my best to make it look like snow is resting on top of the tree roots by leaving them white and shading those areas as I did the rest of the snow in the scene. Because of the hard black detail lines running through, it's not as successful as I would have liked but it still conveys the story I was after. I kept to cool colors throughout, with the exception of Chandler's fur, where I chose rich, warm browns that would draw the eye right to him. I like to think he has popped outside real quick to check the mailbox for birthday cards and now he is ready to head back inside his cozy home. :)
