Just beachy

Good morning!

Happy hump day stampin' peeps. I ended up working yesterday so today is the day for me to get a bunch of stuff done around the house. Lot's of cleaning and even a trip into town as I am still on the hunt for the perfect flowers for my flower pots. Hopefully I can find the elusive potato vines that I've been searching for and anything with a great orange hue. :)

So because I didn't have time to make a card yesterday, this seemed like a good time share the second card that I was lucky enough to have published in the 3rd issue of Copicendium. One of the themes was summer cards and while it may be a bit early for full blown summer fun here that ol' thermometer keeps on creeping higher with each passing week.

I colored up the totally cool vintage beach babe Eleanor from Kraftin' Kimmie stamps and matched her up with the Seaside line from October Afternoon. It was a match made in heaven if you ask me. Between the papers and the sticker sheet I really didn't need much else to set the scene for Eleanor. I think I can smell that salty sea air just looking at this card, LOL!

Oh, and while I'm on the subject of Kraftin' Kimmie stamps... did you see that Eleanor and all her rubber friends are currently on sale over at the ATS store? Yep, they are 25% off so you won't want to miss out on those deals!

Ok, time for me to scoot... see y'all in 24. :)

Cupcakes and smiles

Good morning!

Happy hump day and I hope that your week is humming right along. Besides an entire day of pouring rain yesterday I keep checking things off my to-do list and what not so it's all good. :)

So yesterday in the mail I received my copy of the 3rd issue of Copicendium and I was lucky enough to have a couple of cards featured in it! Because Mad For Markers just celebrated it's second birthday there was a birthday theme running through out this issue and my card was made to go along with that. I combined a pair of the Birthday Fairwees to create this sugary sweet party scene and Josie and Jilly are working hard to get the finishing touches all together for the big celebration.
All of the papers and goodies were just scraps floating around on my desk, that ended up coming together for a bright and happy looking card. Now if only I get a bright and happy day out there today, LOL!

Ok, time for me to scoot and I'll see y'all in 24. :)

Oops!

Hi guys!

I knew going into it that this week was going to be a busy one... lots going on at work and all the fun stuff going on here at the blog. And I was so proud of myself for getting cards made ahead of time, feeling all prepared for each day. That is until I sat down to write up a post for today and realized that I had completely spaced creating anything for this week's new Tickled Pink challenge ... talk about an oops moment! Oy!

So instead I've got a card featuring the digi version of the original Kellita that I made a few months back which was actually featured in the Aussie Copic mini mag, Copicendium. Sammi is a total sweetie and I was really excited when she asked me to contribute a couple cards to the first edition of her magazine. :)

Today lets just pretend that I did some ripping and tearing on this card 'cause that is the challenge over at the TP challenge blog. And if you head on over there you are sure to find plenty of actual inspiration by the rest of the lovely challenge team!
