Happy Father's Day...

Hello there!

Today is day 1 of the March stamp release from The Greeting Farm... woot, woot! We have two fantastic clear sets and a single rubber stamp coming out this month and they are all fantastic! Take a peek at the new I Love Dad clear stamp set that will be available for purchase on the 15th. I've used the awesome golf cart and one of the sentiments, along with the coordinating die, for my card today but there is so much more included in the set as well. I couldn't help but go a bit Caddyshack with my card by drawing a quick little gopher to help set the scene. It makes me smile and I know it will make dad smile too, which is all that matters.  ;)

A great day...

Hi gals! 

I colored up the super cute new RN Anya digi last week because I thought she would make for a perfect springtime Facebook profile pic. Sure she is supposed to be a nurse image but really I love how she is generic enough to pass for a simple, casual kind of girl. So when it came time to make a card yesterday I saved some time and grabbed RN so that she could take that last step to getting on a card. She told me that she wanted to take a walk in the park so I grabbed a great cloud print paper and some rolling hills dies to set the scene. Then I inked up the tulip flowers from the Eggstra Special set along with their coordinating die to add a bit of easy color to this outdoor setting. I continued on my TGF roll by grabbing the Hello & Smile sentiment set to pull the whole design together.  :)

Happy Easter...

Mornin' friends!

Yesterday I was feeling inspired to get a little crazy and experiment with my coloring of this sweet little Pure Innocence called My Easter Basket. The idea hit me that I could give her wider eyes just like I did for Oliver on this card or the Darling Sister on this card. So I set about giving her some pretty blue eyes for this cheery Easter card. To be honest I am on the fence about the results. While I think she turned out pretty darn cute there is something about the change that seems to detract from her original simple charm. Hmmm... I'm not saying I won't keep playing around with this idea but there is something to be said for enjoying these images just as they are too. The rest of the card is super simple with just a sheet of paper from the new Doodlebug Bunnyville paper pad providing both a beautiful background and the sentiment for the card as well.

Hello, hello! 

Surprise! I'm sneaking in a special Sunday post to share some exciting news! The Greeting Farm is officially releasing the new CLEAR Starry Anya today so if you missed out on the short preview sale now is your chance to grab this fabulous girl! To be honest I was a bit nervous to see my beloved Anya go clear, what if it didn't stamp as well as the red rubber? Well I am happy to say that the worry was for not, the quality of the polymer is nice and firm giving me a crisp, clean impression each time that I stamped Starry up. So I certainly won't be hesitating to purchase future clear Anya stamps... (hint, hint).  ;)
For my card I found this wonderful rainbow hued star paper in a new Avery Elle paper pad that was perfect for this happy celestial cutie. The sentiment is from MFT and I added clear Wink of Stella to the large 'stars' word so that it really sparkles and shines in person. Because both Anya and the over sized sentiment took up the majority of the available space on the card front I decided to keep everything else super simple. A couple stitched edge dies and a single starry gem were all I really needed to dress things up a bit. :)

Today I am playing along in another dimensional flowers challenge and this one is at A Day For Daisies. I guess it must be that time of year when we are all longing for a bit of color to bloom and brighten our days. The ever adorable Tiny Pixie Rose found her way on to my card and I found some very dimensional paper roses to go with. I actually took a couple of red Copics to color the edges of the big white rose so that it would match the paper and the rose Pixie is holding. It all came together to make a lovely little card for a lovely little someone.  :)

Good morning!

My friend got me the new Hello Gorgeous paper pad from My Mind's Eye last week and it didn't take me long before diving right into it. I love these papers so much, the retro vibe of these floral prints totally speaks to me. I paired them up with this super cute Tiny Townie from Stamping Bella called Amanda is Awesome. She just looked like a spring beauty to me in her little sundress and pigtails. Then I grabbed some Prima flowers that matched the paper so that I could enter this card into this week's Bellariffic challenge to 'add flowers'. Now Amanda has an entire garden to sit back and relax in. :)

You make my days brighter...

Hi there! 

When I sat down to create yesterday I decided to grab my folder of SOG digis that I have all printed out and ready to color. I knew that I had this darling Daffodil Fairy just waiting to get on a card and this seemed the perfect time of year for her to fulfill her creative destiny. I've been watching the daffodil and crocus begin to peek out of the flower beds and it won't be long before we have these little drops of sunshine cheering up the yard. I envisioned Daffodil Fairy having just picked her prize and fluttering away to decorate her tiny abode so I knew I needed some cool cloud paper for the background. At first I went to my blue and aqua scraps but nothing seemed to jive with this cheerful fairy. Finally I went to my yellow scraps and found this paper from October Afternoon, talk about perfect! So the card turned out kinda monochromatic but I'm diggin' it.  ;)
