TGIF!
Only one day to go before the new Sweet November digi release and while I am busily making card samples for it I figured I would share this card from the January release Live. This was another take on Snowflake Fairy Nixie and we had a good time coloring her into a snowy alpine scene. She is happily sailing through the sky over snow covered woods and frozen lakes on her way to the Snow Ball. LOL, I couldn't resist the bad joke there! ;)
Okay then, see ya back here tomorrow for a super cute release that I am SO excited to share with you all!
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink and Copic X-Press It
digital stamp- Sweet November (Snowflake Fairy Nixie)
stamp- The Ton (sentiment)
ink- Versafine onyx black
My Favorite Things A2 stitched rectangle stax set 2
Wink of Stella clear glitter pen
Sharpie extra fine white pen
Copic markers:
sorry, I didn't keep a list but you can see the colors used here

Love You...
Hi friends!
I'm on the Greeting Farm blog with another Valentine to share because I wanted to play some more with the over sized Love You die that was released this month. This time I cut it out of a piece of transparency and sprayed it with some Pixie Spray so I could use it as a mask with my water colors. I gotta say, it worked like a charm because when I peeled the mask away after letting the paint dry I was left with this artsy looking background. Not wanting to cover up too much of all the work I had done, I knew just the stamp set to grab to finish off this card... #couplegoals. The cute little kissing couple were stamped and colored on Copic X-Press It then fussy cut and glued onto the background panel. A few additional enamel heart stickers and this card was complete. As much as I have been enjoying the challenge of creating non-traditional Valentine cards lately sometimes you just can't resist the traditional pinks and reds and hearts that represent the holiday. ;)
Have a wonderfully crafty day!
Supply list:
cardstock- My Favorite Things and Copic X-Press It
Arches water color paper
stamps- The Greeting Farm (#couplegoals set)
ink- Memento tuxedo black

Sticko enamel hearts
Wink of Stella clear glitter pen

Smile, sparkle, shine...
Hey there!
We're at the end of the month and that means I am busy getting ready for the February Sweet November release on Saturday. So while I work on cards for that I've still got cards from the Stamping Bella release to share here. Curvy Girl with a Diamond is so lovely and serene, sparkling just like that diamond she is holding. I played around again with another faux watercolor background using my Copics and just like anything, the more of these I do the happier I am with the results... practice makes perfect I tell ya! I just really love the dreamy quality it lends to this pretty gal and helps ground her even when I couldn't think of a conventional scene for her to live in.
Ok, I'm off to color. Hope you all can find some time to get crafty today too!

Happy Valentine's Day...
Hello friends!
After my guest spot with Purple Onion Designs ended last month I was invited to join their amazingly talented team as a regular design team member and of course I accepted! Any excuse to create more cards with all their cute critters is a good thing in my book. For my first official card I went with a Valentine theme featuring two nutty little squirrels, Pecan and Peanut. I simply couldn't resist Pecan holding that heart out to her sweetie. They are stamped using Inkon3 fade out ink, as is the Perch branch that I added at three different heights. This allowed me to really create a cohesive scene using the no-lines coloring technique. I wanted it to look like they are perched high up in a tree overlooking a peaceful river valley below... quite romantic, even for a couple of squirrels. LOL! And I finished the card off with one of the sentiments from the Essential Happy Sentiment set that can also be found at POD. Sure it may have a heart and even some pink but I think this still falls in line with the non-traditional Valentines I've been making lately. ;)
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you all have a lovely day!

As wonderful as you are...
Good morning!
I'm popping in with a quick post to share this extra card that I made during the last Greeting Farm release. It's my second European vacation scene pairing up one of the Miss Anya Buckles cuties with the Tryfolds Shoppes set from Art Impressions. She seems quite excited to be walking the cobbled lanes of this quaint village and who knows what adventures are in store for her. :)
Ok, I've got lots to do today so time for me to run. See ya in 24!

Me Love You...
Hello, hello!
It's time for another Scenic Saturday on the Stamping Bella blog and while we all anxiously await our new release orders I figured now was a good time to look through my Stamping Bella binders and find some older stamps that have been waiting to get inky. Lately I've been on a roll challenging myself to create nontraditional Valentine's cards, scenes of love and friendship that don't necessarily rely on the usual pink, red and hearts to convey those loving feelings. So when I saw this sweet Cave Couple stamp I knew I had a winner. I paired these two Neolithic lovebirds with the Cave Kids Backdrop which provided plenty of details and interest with very little effort on my part... love it when that happens! Coloring it all in was pretty straight forward, the only minor change up was extending the river down past where the stamped image ended but that is easy peasy. Looking at these two, I like to think that the sunflower isn't just a romantic gesture but a practical gift as well... I'm sure this stone aged cutie will find the seeds quite delicious too, LOL! ;)
Stay crafty my friends!

My heart wears a smile...
TGIF!
I made a New Year's resolution to start my own Facebook page in 2020 as a place to share my love of Copic coloring and card making. I know, I know... I'm always late to the game. But I finally dove in and did my first Live coloring on my Adventure's In Coloring with Amy page yesterday afternoon. Because I have a space where I can use whatever I want whenever I want, I chose to color up this cutie from Some Odd Girl. You see, Some Odd Girl is celebrating their 10 year anniversary this month and since I've been a long time fan of Kristy and her art I thought it would be nice to join that celebration and share the SOG love. Plus I've had this general idea to try for a card scene and this little cutie suited it perfectly.
This digi stamp is Tia and Fluffy, Fluffy being the cat that I cropped out of the scene before printing so that I could color an ipad in its place. My goal being to create a modern Valentine scene of Tia face timing with her sweetheart late into the night. This gave me the opportunity to really play with light and shadow in my coloring of the scene and I love that kind of challenge. Sure I see places where I could have gotten smoother blends with a bit more time or parts that I would make darker and add more contrast on the next time I try a similar scene but all in all this comes pretty darn close to capturing the scene I envisioned in my mind and that makes me a very happy girl. ;)
Now if you haven't checked out the Some Odd Girl blog post explaining all the goings ons, including a 25% OFF SALE and FREEBIES, hop on over there and take a read!
Supply list:

stamps- My Favorite Things (Smile set)
ink- Memento tuxedo black

Somebunny is sending you hugs...
Olo!
I've had this sweet I Believe in Love image from Dreamerland stamped up and ready to color since before Christmas. The timing never seemed quite right until yesterday when I finally pulled it out and got to it. I had paired them with the Christmas Snow Scene background stamp and even as more snow fell outside my window I decided to give them a late winter landscape with melting snow and patches of bare earth. I like to think that little bunny has ventured out of his underground burrow looking for some love and warm hugs. :)
Alrighty, I had better go get some things crossed off my to-do list before the Live coloring this afternoon. I'm excited to be coloring with everyone today, it should be a fun one.
Toodles!
Supply list:

Cact-us...
Hi there!
So as soon as I saw the new Let's Stick Together set from MFT, with all it's cute little cacti I knew that I had to pair them up with the kiddos from the Saddle Up and Celebrate set. Yesterday I finally had the time to make this mash up happen and I think it works as a fun, kinda tongue in cheek Valentine. I also enjoyed the challenge of creating a south west inspired background for these sweet cowfolk to call home. From the look of things we have caught them just before they ride off into the sunset together. ;)
I've also started up my own personal Facebook page called, Adventures in Coloring with Amy and even though I haven't gotten it looking all pretty yet, I will be hosting my first Live coloring on it tomorrow, January 23rd at 3pm PST. I hope to see some of you there!

I've also started up my own personal Facebook page called, Adventures in Coloring with Amy and even though I haven't gotten it looking all pretty yet, I will be hosting my first Live coloring on it tomorrow, January 23rd at 3pm PST. I hope to see some of you there!

More adorable than abominable...
Hey there!
As much as I was dreaming of spring with yesterday's card, today the pendulum is swinging back towards reality with lots of snow in the forecast. So I figured the best way to feel good about more of the white stuff accumulating outside was with these super cute yetis that I recently got from CC Designs. The set is called Abominable and it includes four sweet little furballs, which made it hard to choose which ones to ink up first. I finally settled on these two and did some masking to snug them in nice and close as well as block out some space for the snow drift below and the large icicle coming down in front of the one on the right. Now they are literally chillin' together in their own ice cave just watching the snow pile higher and higher. At least they seem happy about all this snow, LOL! ;)
Thanks for stopping by!

All your dreams...
Good morning!
We've finally made it, after all those days of teasing sneak peeks the amazing Stamping Bella spring release is now available in the store! There are so many great new stamps to choose from and add to your stamp collection it's hard to know where to begin filling your cart. Between the Bundle Girls, Curvy Girls and Oddballs, the Teeny Tiny Townie and the Gnome, as well as the brand new Mochi Girls and Edgar and Molly sets, there is definitely something for everyone.
My card today features the vintage looking little sweetie and her dog from the Edgar and Molly Vintage Clock set. I paired them with the Garden Backdrop to instantly set a the scene as a lovely spring day. The sentiment comes with the Tiny Townie Dorothy the Dreamer and it seemed to fit the dreamy mood of this card quite nicely.

Why limit happy to an hour...
Hi friends!
Can you feel the excitement? We've made it to the third and final day of previews before the big release at Stamping Bella tomorrow. As amazing as the previous couple days have been today is really special because not only do we have new Oddballs to share but there are two brand new collections being added to the Stamping Bella line up... the gorgeous Mochi Girls and the super sweet Edgar and Molly sets. Mochi Girls are what I affectionately call "big heads". With big heads you get a cropped in shot of each character allowing you to have a lot of fun coloring in details like skin, hair and clothing. Whether you are an experienced colorist or one who wants a perfect image to practice on, these gals are the bomb! On the other end of the stamping spectrum Edgar and Molly are smaller characters that hearken back to the vintage Dick and Jane type readers. They are full of nostalgia and charm with all of the different extras that come in each set. It was hard to choose but my card for today features the fabulous Mochi Party Girl. After a long week at the office all this gal wants to do is let off some steam at the local bar with her best gal pals. Should she have a nice glass of red or a playful lemon drop? Who says she has to choose? LOL! The sentiment is an older one that comes with the Curvy Girl with a Cocktail and I thought it was perfect with this Mochi as well.
Alrighty, so there is one last chance to head over to the Bellarific Blog and check out all of the fab cards from my fellow Bellas and get yourself entered for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate before all these amazing stamps hit the store!

Get well wishes...
Hello there!
We are rolling right along with the Stamping Bella spring release previews and today is all about the Curvy Girls plus a new Teeny Tiny Townie and Gnome. There are 4 new Curvy Girls being released on Monday the 20th and while I created cards with three of them, I chose to showcase Curvy Girl Doctor here on the ol' blog. She looks quite smart and capable so I wanted to give her a clean and modern doctor's office lobby to call her own. I Googled photos of lobbies until I found one I liked then I decided to only use warm grey markers to create it so that Curvy Girl Doctor would be sure to stand out on the card. Rather than use the sentiment that comes with her I chose to instead use one from the new Mochi Girl Sentiment set completing this clean and simple card perfectly. :)
Now you'll want to head on over to the Bellarific Blog and check out all the amazing cards from my fellow Bellas and get yourself entered for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate!

Look after my heart...
TGIF my friends!
I'm super excited because today kicks off previews of the new spring release at Stamping Bella! Over the next three days we will be sharing cards featuring some of the 40 plus new stamps that will be available in the store on Monday, the 20th. Today is all about the cute new Bundle Girls who are ready to celebrate spring in all it's forms as well as a new Edna and five fabulous sentiment sets.
I have actually created with a handful of the darling new Bundle Girls for this release but I chose to share my Valentine card first since that is the holiday coming up the soonest. This little cutie is Bundle Girl with Falling Hearts and she is literally being showered in love. The sentiment I paired with her is from the Love Sentiments set and it totally gives me all the feels because it brings to mind the vulnerability we all feel when we trust our heart to another. For a bit of a change up I decided to raid my pattern paper stash and came across this old Sassafras Lass paper pad called Sweetly Smitten. It instantly gave me that pretty mixed media look I so admire in other card artists without any effort on my part, LOL! All I had to do was pull Copics to match the colors in the paper and I was set. ;)
Alrighty, be sure to hop on over to the Bellarific Blog to see all of the amazing inspiration from my fellow Bellas and get yourself entered for a chance to win a gift certificate because I promise you are going to want it for this release!

You make my heart skip...
Hey there!
I've got a quick minute between wrapping up the TGF release and starting up the Bella previews tomorrow to share this sweet card featuring some cuties from Purple Onion Designs. I actually stamped up this scene back in December when I was working on Christmas cards but even then I thought this one could work better as a Valentine. It must be the hearts on the treehouse door and windows because that motif combined with these two excited critters had sentiments about hearts skipping or leaping come to mind. Little Douglas, the raccoon, is from the recent Pine Cone Trail release and Maggie, the mouse, is from the older Mistletoe Farm collection and yet I think they look like they were made to go together. They are both so full of energy and happiness that you can't help but smile when you see them. I colored them into a late winter/early spring type scene since most of our Valentine's Days are celebrated with a chill in the air and snow still on the ground. Then I had fun warming it up by coloring all of the different accents in various shades of pink and red. It may not be the most traditional of Valentine's cards but it sure makes me feel the love. ;)
Toodles!

Then we have the LOVE YOU Cutting Die which is perfect to use alone or can be combined with any of our characters. Next up is CHEEKY BABE who is all dolled up for an awesome date night. And to round out the release, we brought you 3 Miss Anyas in the set called MISS ANYA BUCKLES wearing stylish boots with buckles.

**NOTE:
Please use the same name on all the blogs when leaving a comment. Also,
please do not pick the Anonymous option when leaving a comment

TGF Design Team:
This is a
short hop so definitely worth playing along! And if you can't wait for
the hop to be over, you can purchase the new products HERE.
For my card today I have paired the lovely Miss Anya Buckles with the sassy short hair do and some background stamps from my stash to create this scene. It looks to me like she is enjoying a European vacation with all those quaint shops and cafes for her to explore. :)
Have fun hopping and good luck!

Because of you...
Hello, hello!
We've made it to the last day of the January previews for The Greeting Farm and we are wrapping things up with a new set of Miss Anyas called, Miss Anya Buckles. Each of the three beauties in the set are sporting stylish buckled boots and you also get a fun pair of glasses in the set that can be added to not only these three gals but any other Miss Anya stamps that you may already have in your stash. For my card today I paired the long haired Miss Anya with the couch from the retired Sitting Cute Anya set and the puppy from the retired Home Sweet Home set to create a sweet weekend scene of these two just chillin' at home. And for a fun change of pace I thought it would be cool to make them city dwellers with the tall buildings of their neighborhood seen through the window. :)
Now it's time to head over to the TGF blog for even more Miss Anya Buckles goodness from my fellow Farmers as well as an extra card from me. And don't forget that the
entire release will be available for purchase tomorrow, the 15th, with a small blog hop to celebrate!

Keep on rockin'...
Hi friends!
It's day three of the Greeting Farm's January release and today we are introducing a new Cheeky called Cheeky Babe. This flirty and fun image is another that is perfect for making a cheeky Valentine or two but she is also much more versatile than that. When I looked at her I saw a gal and her girl friends ready to cut loose with a wild night out on the town. So for my card I dressed her in a show stopping leopard print mini and colored in the bright lights of a night club dance floor all around her. Once the bright colors were applied to the paper I took my black 100 Copic and sketched in some loose silhouettes of her gal pals dancing in the background, as well as the dramatic cast shadow that really sets Cheeky Babe on that dance floor. Then I just finished it all off with a fun sentiment and this card was done. :)
Now hop on over to the TGF blog to see all fabulously flirty cards from my fellow Farmers using the new Cheeky Babe. Then check back tomorrow for the fourth and final day of previews before the big release one the 15th.
