TGIF my friends!
I'm just popping in with the December entry into my ongoing personal challenge to create a card a month using the Miss Anya All Year kit from The Greeting Farm. This month's cutie is dressed for the cold weather and is holding a gift for someone special. It seemed only natural to give her a house to be entering so once again I did a clear stamp/digi stamp mash up. My process for this is pretty simple, I stamp my clear stamp image onto a 4.25"x5.5" card front and then fussy cut a mask to put over her. I then go to my computer and in Word I start importing whatever digital background builders I want to work with. Most often I also add a 'stand in' character while I'm working so I can place it in roughly the same spot I have my clear image stamped and it helps me scale the size of everything else appropriately. Once I have everything where I want it I delete the 'stand in' and print the scene on thin computer paper. I then take my card front with the stamped image and lay it on top of the printed scene and hold it up to a light or well lit window to get the positioning just right. Once I have it where I want it, I tape the card front to the computer print out and put it back in the printer to print a second time. Once that is done all I have to do is gently remove the card front from the computer paper, remove the mask and voila!
In the case of this scene I was playing with elements from the Porch 2 set, Porch Christmas set and Christmas Day set to build the perfectly decorated front door of Miss Anya's house. Add a light snowfall all over with a white pen and this merry Christmas scene was done. :)
I hope your weekend is a crafty one!
