Today we are saying one final hoorah to summer with the new End of Summer Fun release by Anita Jeram at Colorado Craft Company. Once again, I am excited to be joining the blog hop where a whole host of talented crafters are showcasing the seven new stamp sets and their coordinating dies. There are two giveaways happening for this new release and you can enter as many times as you like.

        Giveaway 1:

Apparently I wasn't as done with summer as I may have thought because once I got my hands on these cute stamps I couldn't stop making cards with them! So once again I have four cards to share and I broke them down into cats and dogs vs. bunnies. This first mini slimline card features the new Beach Life set that includes these fun loving cats and dogs burying their friend in the sand. The cat in the sand, group of friends and sand castle are three individual stamps and I simply masked them all together to create this cohesive scene. The sentiment is one of a handful also included in the set and I did cut the stamp itself apart so that I could stamp it in a single line to fit on the narrow strip of card stock I cut for it. This bit of stamp surgery also made it super easy to stamp the sentiment in two different colors. 

 

For my second card I combined three of the new sets together to fill this long slimline card. Starfish Wish, Summer Story and Beach Escape all feature these crazy cute cats juggling various seaside items. I had a lot of fun lining them all up in a row and giving each cat their own special thing to fling in the air. More stamp surgery went on when I cut this sentiment from the Starfish Wish set in two. This is one of the reasons I love clear stamps, because it is so easy to cut images apart and add even more versatility to the set. As I colored in the scene using my Copic markers, I decided to give these entertaining kitties a lovely sunset sky as their backdrop. Perhaps they are dinner entertainment during an island luau.  ;)

 
 

My second set of cards shifts to the adorable bunnies in the release. This first one features a whole family of rabbits enjoying a day at the beach in the Fun in the Sun set. The umbrella, mom, dad and baby bunnies are all their own individual stamps and I did some masking to bring them all together for this scene. For the background I hand colored in the sandy dunes and beach fencing with the treetops peeking out in the distance. All together they create a pretty color combo that is one of my favorites for summer.

Finally, I inked up the Beach Beauty rabbit and paired her with the older Mermazing Mini set for this relaxing seaside stroll. I went with very soothing blues for the sea and sky, filling the majority of the scene with them.
