Just Beachy...

Hello!

I'm up on the Bellarific blog with a Scenic Saturday card that has us diving into summer fun using the super cute Beach Bundle Girl with a Floatie. The temperatures are rising around here, so even if I don't have a tropical beach and cool ocean waves to enjoy I can at least make that idyllic scenario happen on a card. 

I began by stamping Beach Bundle Girl with a Floatie, who is also joined by the cutest little seagull in its own mini floatie. I colored them both up in bright, happy colors and thought it would be a cute touch to give the Bundle Girl a couple tendrils of hair peeking out from her swim cap. With both of these sweet characters brought to life it was time to give them the perfect beach scene to call home. I started by having her standing at the edge of the surf so that the seagull would be floating in the shallow water. To create the foamy white edge of the water you want to leave the white card stock showing between the yellow sand and blue of the water. On the background I added a spit of land full of rocks and palm trees to add to the tropical vibe that I was going for. Some warm and toasty marshmallow clouds at the horizon line help separate the blue of the sky from the ocean below. A sentiment from the Beach Vibes Sentiment set stamped up in the sky completes the sunny, beachy scene.
