Candy winners and a Wednesday challenge

Hello, hello!

Well here we are... it's Wednesday already and that means I've got some Sweet November candy winners to announce along with a couple other fun things! :)

First things first let's not keep you all waiting any longer... here are the lucky winners chosen by my friend Mr. Random Generator. ;)

drum roll please...

Fruit of the Month Banana Fairy- #37 Shannon Erskine aka e3stamper

Fairy Sweet Clover Greenfield- #28 Shirley N

Coriander Fairy- #35 Sheng

Darby and Chenille- #38 pixie sparkle

Congratulations ladies! :)

Please email me at pete_danger@hotmail.com with your mailing addys and I will get your candies right off to ya!

Thanks so much to everyone who played along this week, the April Sweet November release will be available tonight at the All That Scraps store. :)

Now, I've got some more ATS fun to share today and that's the Wednesday Challenge! This week the challenge is to create a shaped card base and when I sat down to make my card, the fabulous miss Donna and all of her delightful little mini flower cards came to mind. :)
So I pulled out my Slice die-cutting machine and used it to create this little 4 inch card base. Then I altered Banana fairy a bit, just by simply wiping the ink off of the markings on her hat and skirt... oh and I did draw in a connecting line to change the hem of her skirt. Now instead of a Banana fairy she looks more like a Lily of the Valley fairy... how cool is that?! I think with the same trick she could easily look like a Tulip fairy too. ;)

We would love to see you play along and as always there is a great incentive with the awesome prizes being offered. In order to be eligible to win, your card must include a stamp that is sold in the All That Scraps store. Whether it is any of our wonderful in house designs or from the various other stamp companies that ATS carries, the choice is yours. Then be sure to link up your creation with Mr Linky by next Tuesday at 10pm est and only one entry per person please!

Okey dokey, good luck with the challenge and only 6 more days fellow Glee fans... are you counting down the days like I am?! :)

Thinking of you

Good morning friends!

It feels kinda weird not to have some kind of sneak peek to share with you today but it was fun to make a card "just because". And my "just because" on this one was a chance to play with some new stamps and papers. :)

I recently got the new CC Designs Swiss Pixie Spring set and couldn't wait to dive into them! This little cutie was the first one to grab my attention and since I was in a mood to color I decided to use some of the other background stamps to create an entire scene for her to live in. I did some masking so that the fence appears to be behind her and I also stamped the fence twice so it would span the entire length of the cardstock. All I had to do was draw in a couple connecting posts and voila... longer fence!
Because there was so much going on in the scene I kept the rest of the card pretty simple and didn't even add any embellishments... shock! Well, I guess technically the stitching is really rub-ons but other than that... no embellies. What can I say? Sometimes a girl just wants to color. ;)

Alrighty, I guess I had better go get ready for work... boy am I dragging my feet this morning. Hopefully I can get a little pep in my step before too long!
Oh! And before I forget... you still have through today to enter for a chance to win on the Sweet November candies. I'll be random generating winners tonight and announcing them on tomorrow's post. So good luck!

Talk to ya later! :)Supply list:

Well good morning my friends!

Here we are at the start of a brand new week, and it's not just any old week... it's release week! Yep, that's right, all of these new Sweet November stamps we've been sharing with you will be available Wednesday night at All That Scraps. :)

Now if you've stopped by the ATS blog you've already seen a sneak of my sneak for today, but I just had to save our beloved Darby for this last day of candy goodness! Darby was first introduced a couple months back with her friend Bumbles and now Sweet November's resident tomboy Sprite is skipping back onto the scene. This time she has her fuzzy wuzzy caterpillar friend, Chenille, to keep her company. I can just hear the two of them laughing and giggling and telling jokes to one and other... caterpillars are renowned for their great sense of humor don'tcha know! LOL ;)

Can't get enough of Darby and Chenille? Then skip on over to Maire's and Traci's blogs for some super cute inspiration that will have you grinning from ear to ear! These ladies sure know how to ramp up the cute factor!
Okey dokey, so now it's time to talk candy... this is our fourth and final Sneak Peek candy for the April release and if you would like a chance to win little Darby all you have to do is leave a comment on this post. SNS Coriander sneaks!

Happy Easter Sunday to all those out hiding/hunting the eggs and raiding baskets for a bit of chocolate. ;)

I've got a whole different kind of candy to share with you today which may not taste as good as a chocolate bunny but I guarantee it has a lot less calories, LOL!

If you were stopping by the ol' bloggity blog a few month's back you may remember seeing this shy fairy when I drew her up for a challenge. Well, some of you asked and now here she is in rubber! Please welcome back Coriander Fairy. Coriander is one of the 'unofficial' line of spice fairies, just like her sister, Ginger, and they are a bit more elegant looking than the other inhabitants of Sweet November land.
Coriander is naturally shy and quiet... though with the way I colored her up on this card she may find it hard to be a wallflower much longer, LOL! Still, if Coriander had it her way, her days would be spent chatting with the flowers and listening to the spring breezes sing.

Now you'll want to flutter on over to Traci's and Maire's blogs for more Coriander loveliness. They've both been knocking my socks off with their sneak peeks and today's cards are no exception!

Oh and you'll also want to stop by the ATS blog today too as there are more Sweet November sneaks going on with a chance to win all four stamps from this April release! So be sure to check that out!
Now, if you would like a chance to win this Coriander candy all you have to do is leave a comment on this post... easy peasy! Linking the candy up on your blog is appreciated but not a requirement to win and the prize is open to everyone, so come join the fun! You've got through Tuesday, April 6th to comment and I'll announce all the winners on release day, Wednesday the 7th! :)
Up for grabs today is one Sweet November Coriander fairy rubber stamp, eight double sided 6x6 sheets of WeR Memory keepers Vintage Blue paper, one set of WeR clear stamps, Prima flowers and e.line pearls and gems, Maya Road stick pins, buttons, ribbon, four card blanks, four envelopes and my card.

Despite the snow (yes, I said snow!) that we got yesterday, I am firmly in the mood for spring and I think our Sweet November day 2 sneak peek will help with that!

Please let me introduce you to the newest Fairy Sweet... Clover Greenfield. Clover is a dreamy, head-in-the-clouds little fairy who spends her days weaving tales of wondrous adventures that she shares with all her friends in Sweet November land. Even the butterflies and other bugs love to listen to Clover's stories so she is always surrounded by those special to her. :)

SNS is going bananas!

Hello and welcome to day 1 of our Sweet November April sneak peeks!

I hope you are as excited to see them as I am to share them with you all. :)

Our first new fluttering friend on the scene is Fruit of the Month Banana Fairy. Miss Banana is super sweet, has a tendency to get a bit mushy and seems to get along well with everyone. Truly, is there a fruit drink out there that doesn't taste even better with a bit of banana added to the mix? LOL, yep... this little fairy is kinda like that. She just sweetens up every fairy gathering she attends in Sweet November land! ;)

Wanna see even more Banana goodness? Then head on over to Maire's and Traci's blogs for all the fruity fun! Be careful though... you may be tempted to grab some ice cream and chocolate sauce and settle down with a delicious banana split. Mmmmmmmmm!

Now I can't treat you all to one of those but one lucky person will win some sweet Banana candy! All you have to do for a shot at the prize is leave a comment on this post. If you would like to link up to this candy on your own blog that would be great but it is not a requirement to win. This will stay open through Tuesday, April 6th and then I'll announce the winner on Wednesday, April 7th... which also happens to be the big release day over at ATS this month! :)

So I bet you want to see what's in the candy don'tcha?

Included in the candy is: One Sweet November Fruit of the Month Banana Fairy and sentiment rubber stamp, 7 double sided 6x6 sheets of My Little Shoebox papers, one pack of Studio G clear floral stamps, Prima flowers and e.line pearls and gems, buttons, ribbon, four card blanks and envelopes and my card too. :)

Sweet November spotlight on Serafiia

Hello, hello all my stamping friends!

Are you ready to jump right back into another round of sneak peeks? This time I've got the April Sweet November release to share with you and I'm really excited to introduce you to these sweet new friends. :)

But before we start all of that fun tomorrow, I want to take today and shine the spotlight on this month's Sweet November Guest Gal Maire Elli Serafiia Yla-Tuuhonen!

Maire has been a Sweet November fan from the very beginning and her blog is full of all her magical cards featuring these little characters and they never fail to make me smile! So when it came time to find April's SN Gal I knew she would be perfect!
Maire's card making style leans towards clean and simple lines with delicate and pretty finishing touches. She has a thoughtful way of choosing papers and colors that always set the mood and tell a story within the design... which I love. Oh and her Copic skills aren't too shabby either... this girl can color with the best of them! :)

Now it's time for the always fun to read Sweet November Gal questionnaire... let's see what Maire had to say...

1) What color do feel represents your personality and why?
Violet - it's quite dark and mystic but in right environment and with other colors it might be also fun and festive. I think the color also calms me down.

2) Is your style of dress/ home decor similar to your style of card making?
Perhaps! In both I love the simple (and elegant) touch but in my card I still use much more colors.

3) What one thing always puts you in a good mood?
Good music depending much about my mood at the time. I listen to all kinds of music but mostly rock. And stamping of course - mostly I do them together!

4) If you could visit any time in history when would it be?
I really can't decide so I have 2:
1) the 80's (I'm born in 87 so that doesn't count).
2) time of Hercule Poirot - I would love to "play the part" of Miss Lemon. :D

5) If you were a mythical creature ie. fairy, elf, mermaid, troll etc., what kind would you be and why?
I would love to be an elf like Arwen in LOTR.

Bonus question
6) If you are a fellow Gleek, which character from McKinley High do you most identify with?

Sorry, I don't even know the series. I think it hasn't even been played here in Finland. :D

Great answers Maire! :)
Now, Maire will be joining Traci and myself over the next four days with the SNS sneak peeks so be sure to stop by her blog to see what's coming out at ATS on April 7th!

Now it's the part of the show where I share a card I've made influenced by Maire's gorgeous Fidget card featured above. What caught my eye right away was how she used the decorative die-cut as a home for her stamped character and it really plays as a key feature in the over-all design. So I dug through my box of die-cuts and found these great MME flowers, which then lead me to my paper and color choices as well. Once I had that all in place the rest of the card came together very quickly. And to finish the whole thing off I borrowed Maire's rows of little jewel like dots and ran some bling borders across the entire length of the card... which just so happened to work perfectly with this week's ATS Spring Bling challenge... imagine that! ;)
Well, thanks so much for stopping by today... sneak peeks and chances to win some sweet candy all start here tomorrow so hopefully I'll see ya then! :)
