Olo!
So when I saw this Rolling Hills stamp I knew I had to snag it because it would provide the perfect scene for some of my little TGF Lift Off cuties. I couldn't wait to ink it up and make it look like this mini Anya was flying high into the sky. I mean seriously, how cool? It was so relaxing to take my time and color it up in a simple color scheme and see the whole idea come together just like I hoped it would. With all the details in the illustration I didn't feel like I really needed to add much in the way of embellishments so the card stayed nice and flat which will make for easy mailing. :)
Ok, I gotta run. Have a great day everyone!

Hi gals!
I have some exciting news to share this morning. Recently I was invited to join the design team for 7 Kids Your Crafting Supply Store, formerly 7 Kids College Fund. There are so many great crafty supplies to be found there that I am just tickled pink to help represent this fine shop. So to kick things off with my new team I have made a card for the March 'anything goes' challenge on the 7 Kids challenge blog. Playing along is easy, all you have to do is use at least one product that can be found in the 7 Kids store and link back to the challenge blog in your own post, which gives you a chance at winning a $20 gift certificate at the end of the month... who doesn't love that?
For my challenge inspiration card I decided to ink up one of the cute mini Gorjuss Girl stamps called The Pretend Friend. Because I also found this bright, pretty floral print in the Echo Park Happiness is Homemade collection I knew that I wanted my Gorjuss Girl to have blond hair. That can be difficult with the GG stamps sometimes because there are so many lines in the hair that stamping in black ink can really dull down any attempts at light color hair. So this seemed to be the perfect opportunity for some no-line coloring and by stamping her in a lighter ink she really turned into quite the Goldilocks. Talk about a happy looking card!
Alrighty, I hope to see some of my crafty friends joining the fun with me this month over at 7 Kids! :)

Hello again!
I'm squeaking in just under the wire with a card for the current MFT sketch challenge. Usually I check out the newest sketch on Wednesday or Thursday and spend the next few days mulling over ideas but this past weekend was so busy with work that once I got time to sit down and create yesterday I was still a blank slate. So I pulled out my MFT stamp binder and flipped through it for inspiration. When I came across the sweet You Have My Heart set something just clicked. I could see these buddies sitting outside on a lovely spring day without a care in the world. So I rifled through my paper scraps and found just what I needed to make that vision a reality. The sketch was followed pretty much to a 'T' so this card really came together quickly after that. It's simple but I'm lovin' it. :)
Catch ya on the flip side!

Good morning!
I'm just catching up this morning with a card that I entered into this past week's Bellarific Friday 'free form' challenge at Stamping Bella. I really wanted to color up another of the new Tiny Townie Garden Girls so Lily of the Valley jumped on my stamping block and got inked. I actually have a whole flower bed beside my house that is filled with Lily of the Valley. Seeing them along with the Crocus and Hyacinth is always a sure sign of spring. That must be why they are a favorite flower of mine. I wanted to stay true to the simplicity of the flower but I also really wanted to get a bit of pink on my card too, so I figured why not just color a hazy pink background behind her? And I gotta say that I'm kinda diggin' it. ;)
Later gators!

TGIF!
Recently I read the sad news that the A Day For Daisies challenge blog is closing down and the final challenge actually ends today. The good news is that the store remains open and there is still the ADFD Facebook group to share and find inspiration on but this definitely feels like the end of an era in many ways. So I couldn't let this milestone pass without playing along one last time. The challenge is 'a celebration of favorites' and it was really hard to choose a single image as my most favorite because there are so many that I love. Perhaps the obvious choice would have been a fairy or mermaid but as I got to thinking about it I finally chose this sweet image called, 'Breeze in Spring'. For me she represents all of the darling kiddo images in the shop with their quiet innocence and simple whimsy that drew me to ADFD in the first place. It always amazes me how a few simple lines can come together with a bit of color and capture so much emotion. Ya gotta love that. :)
Alrighty, I hope your weekend is a crafty one!

Mornin' friends!
I've got another pretty Whimsy girl to share this week. She's called Floral Waves and this time I went back to traditional black ink stamping. It's amazing to see the difference just the choice of ink can make. Still so pretty and so much fun to color. I paired Floral Waves up with this old paper scrap I found because the flowers on it were a perfect match to the ones in her hair. Something about it all brings to mind a simple and sweet spring day in the country. :)
Thanks for stopping by today, I'll see ya in 24!

Hello, hello!
Today I'm traveling even further back into the Greeting Farm vaults to cross another stamp set off my list. This cuddly duo are part of the Panda Friends set that debuted back before TGF was even TGF, it was still Pink Poison then. I figured they were the perfect candidate for some more no-line coloring so that the stripes on her top and skirt wouldn't be so bold and black. I also did a couple small alterations by opening the panda's eyes, giving him a nose and wiping the apples off of her apron before stamping. I paired them up with this pretty scrap of cherry blossom paper and then pulled all of my Copics to match. I gotta say that I'm quite pleased with the dreamy, soft looking results. I'm so glad that I decided to start getting creative with the older stamps in my stash. :)
Alrighty, time to get ready for work. Laters!
