Hello Autumn...

TGIF my friends!

Sneak peeks for the new Hello Bluebird Fall and Halloween kits begin today and the rest of the team and I are enthusiastically building up the excitement until they go Live for purchase on Monday, September 16th at 7pm MDT. I've got two cards to share using the new Apple Farm set that will be included in the larger expanded kit option.

First up is a mini slimline scene where I've paired both the cute standing girl and boy with one of the adorable piglets that are included in the set. The Tree die in the background is also included in the expanded kit and it has both apple and pear dies that can be added to it. Having grown up in apple country, this sweet scene encapsulates all of my fondest memories of this time of year, helping my grandparents bring in the harvest.  :)

My second card finds the seated girlie from the Apple Farm set surrounded by the rest of the little piglets. It looks like they are making a snack of all the apples that have fallen to the ground. The 'hello autumn' wording is from the Large Cozy Sentiment Words die set that will be one of the add-ons available once the kits hit the store. So be sure to mark your calendars for Monday night because the kits are a limited quantity and once they sell out they will not be restocked.

Toodles!  :)

Let's hang out for a spell...

Hello there!

Here's yet another fun Halloween card that I colored up Live during the clear release at Sweet November Stamps. This particular scene is all about the cute Sorsha's Spell Room set and creating a magical, mystical glow winding all around her. The stone floor is from the older Halloween Room Background Builder and it goes perfectly with both the Sorsha and Lucinda's Lair sets. It was a fun task trying to create the sense of light and color floating through the air and for the most part I think we accomplished that look, though it probably would stand out a bit more if I had gone darker on the surrounding walls. Still, for the time constraints that come with coloring Live I'm still quite happy with this magical Halloween scene. :)

Later gators!

So cool it's creepy...

Olo!

I'm quite busy this week, getting ready for some new releases that are coming up. So I just wanted to do a quick pop in and share one of the cards that I colored Live during the Halloween clear release at Sweet November Stamps. This spooktacular graveyard scene features one of the creepy cuties from the Li'l Grimmy Scary and Sweet set. He's just hanging out with his raven pal under the full moon. The background was put together using a mix of larger tombstones from the Spooky Tree Background Builder set and the Spookville Horizon Lines. The monochromatic background coloring is quite spooky and it allows for Grimmy to really stand out and be the star of the show... especially with that fabulous crimson robe that we ended up giving him.

Ok, I really gotta get back to work now. Thanks for stopping by!  :)

We all have a bit of magic in us...

Hey, hey!

So you may have seen the special trick or treat Instagram surprise that we have going over on the Sweet November Stamps Instagram account. We teased that a fifth Witchwee Night Rider would be added to the store today and there is a chance for you to get it for FREE! All you have to do is basically hop along on the design team's Saturday posts featuring the new Witchwees and then go back and comment on the SN Insta account to let us know that you completed the hop. You have through Saturday, Sept. 14th, to get your hands on Witchwee Night Rider: Ewan and Soar sent to you as our Halloween gift. But the fun doesn't stop there! Once you have cute little Ewan, if you create a card or project using him and share it on Instagram with the hashtags #sweetnovemberstamps and #witchwees by September 30th you will also be entered for a chance to win a $30 gift certificate to the store. How's that for a Halloween treat?  ;)

Here you can see Witchwee Night Rider Ewan with his owl, Soar, racing through an eerie green sky. I added the mountains from the Alpine Horizon Lines clear set down below for some additional landscape within this energized scene. If you would like to see the coloring of this card there is a short Reel on Instagram and a longer speed coloring over on the Sweet November Stamps YouTube channel.

Now go get crafty!

Your friendship means so much...

Good morning!

The big anniversary sale at Purple Onion Designs wraps up at midnight tonight. Don't miss out on a chance to add some cute new rubber stamps to your crafty stash at 25% OFF. My card today uses another one of the Chilliezgraphy by Pei Summer Fun collection cuties, this one is Tutu Sweet Dreams and the little butterfly is part of the Fairy Mouse and Friends set. Sure, this cutie would be perfect for Spring crafting but I wanted to capture the colors of pretty Fall gardens this time around. The background trees that I colored in by hand also hint at the changing season being captured in this sweet scene. The sentiment is an older one that is included in the Together set and I cut it all apart into individual words for a playful touch and to make it fit within the overall card design. ;)

Ok, so like I said... there are only a few hours left for the Anniversary sale and it would be a shame to miss out on this sweet deal!

Toodles!

Sing a song of Halloween...

Hello again!

I just can't stop playing with the cute new Witchwee Night Riders digi collection at Sweet November Stamps. This time around I had to create a long slimline card that shows all four of these magical friends racing each other across a moonlit sky. In the lead we find Eunice and Skid but look out, because Edith is coming up fast! Tallulah and Dash are riding comfortably in the middle of the pack while crazy little Philomena and Crash are bringing up the rear. Poor Tumble has been completely left in the dust, LOL! I colored in the full moon with some help from a Tim Holtz moon mask and added in some passing clouds for some extra interest in the big expanse of night sky. The sentiment is from the Spooky Tree Background Builder clear set and the extra bats are from the SN Guy Baron clear set. Where they are all off to, I have no idea. But I do know that they are having the best time getting there, and that's all that matters.  ;)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
