Flying by...

Mornin!

I'm going to keep this post kinda quick as I am just not feeling that well. Honestly, I am dragging... ugh, I hate being sick!

For my card today, I have used another one of the new Halloween digis from TGF. This adorable witchy Sprout had me at 'hello' and I couldn't help but give her a candy corn inspired dress, LOL! I even colored the circle behind her in very light yellows so it looks like the moon (though my pic doesn't quite pick that up well).

Don't forget that all of the new Halloween digis will be available tomorrow in the TGF store. :)

Ok, wish me luck in getting through this day... all I want to do is curl up back in bed and sleep. Sigh, sigh, sigh, whine, pout, whine... ;)

Hugs!

Hey pumpkin!

Hello my fellow stampers!

It's Monday and that means a brand new Mystery Monday challenge over at Club Anya & Friends! This week Kim has chosen a beautiful card by Rimna for us to CASE. Not only that but it is also preview time for the new TGF Halloween digis that will be available for purchase on the 15th!

For my card I used the new Pumpkin Ian digi both 'as-is' and altered into a girl pumpkin by swapping in Cute Troop Anya's head to give him a little buddy from the patch... LOL! Now the two of them are ready to waddle from house to house on Halloween night as they trick-or-treat for sweets. I gotta say I just love their roley-poly cuteness! ;)

And you will definitely want to hop on over to the CA blog to see cards from my fellow DT gals featuring all of the fab new digis! And while you are there don't forget to check out the challenge and start planning a card for it!

Toodles!

Grumpy Georgia

Mornin'... hope this weekend is treating you well.

I have to admit that I got sucked into a pretty lazy day yesterday. I watched a couple movies that I hadn't seen yet, played round with a new 'toy'... but all of that put me a bit behind on the things I still need to get done before going back to work tomorrow. So I'm hoping to get myself in gear today and really , truly tackle that to-do list. Wish me luck! ;)

So some of you may remember this little gal from the first time I used a sketch of her on one of my cards a few months back. Well now Georgia is here and available as a digi stamp in the ATS store beginning tomorrow!
She may be a bit of a grump with more than her fair share of attitude but heck, don't we all have those days? I know I sure do, LOL! So since I had already played up Georgia's twisty side on my first card, I thought it would be fun to use her on a rather non-traditional Christmas card this time around. She certainly looks like she's getting nothing but coal in her stocking this year! :)

Oh and just FYI on the papers I used... they are the new Crate Paper 'Snowy Days' line and I ordered the 6x6 pad. Now don't get me wrong, I think the papers are super cute BUT they did not scale down the patterns for the smaller paper pack like Basic Grey, Cosmo Cricket and Sassafras all do. They just took 12x12 sheets, cut them into four pieces and packaged them up, which was extremely disappointing considering that it meant the tree top had been chopped off and I had to cut into two sheets and piece it back together for my card. Needless to say I won't be buying anymore of their 6x6 paper pads unless they start actually scaling down the patterns too, hey Sassafras ran into the same problem with their first mini paper pad and it didn't take them long to realize their mistake so I'm hoping Crate follows suit. Until then just consider this my crafty PSA letting you all know that you are better off just getting the 12x12 size if you like these new papers. ;)

Ok, now I know Traci has her own fun take on miss Georgia today so head on over to her blog to check it out... you're gonna love it!

Later dudes!

Hello Spindle!

Hey, hey, hey!

Happy Saturday my friends! First I wanted to say how happy I am to hear you are enjoying the straight hair video on Color Me Copic. A quick FYI, that technique doesn't have to be used just on 'big heads'... I use it when I'm coloring in a lot of my TGF, CC Designs, Tickled Pink, etc. images... anything that has straight hair really. So there a lot of different characters that would be perfect for ya to use if you decide to join the CMC challenge that goes along with it. :)

Alrighty, time to introduce y'all to Spindle Mossyrock! She's another new Fairy Sweet digi being released at ATS on Monday the 13th. Spindle is in charge of making sure that each dew drop becomes an icy little crystal on those frosty Autumn mornings. Nothing makes her happier than to see the sparkling beauty as the light from the rising sun dances across each one. She doesn't even mind that her work of art is short lived as the sun eventually thaws out the dew drops, because that just means she gets to have fun doing it all again tomorrow! :)

Ready for more Spindle love? Then be sure to check out Traci's blog... there is so much cuteness going on over there!

OK, time for me to go enjoy my day off... catch ya later!

How about some digi sneaks?

Good morning friends!

Can we all breath a TGIF sigh of relief? LOL, I have this weekend off from work and I SO need it! I've got just enough on my 'to do' list to keep me plenty busy but I plan to relax a bit too. ;)

Anywho... I know that it feels like we just wrapped up previews for the Sweet November September release but there is a special mini DIGI ONLY release that is going to be available at the ATS store on Monday, the 13th.

It has been awhile since we've seen a new Fairy Sweet so today I would like to introduce you to Bramble Lastleaf. Bramble likes to spend her time high up in the tree tops watching and waiting for the leaves to start changing colors. Once that happens she shakes them loose then jumps on board to enjoy the ride as they flutter down to the ground.

Wanna see even more Bramble sweetness? Then head on over to Traci's blog where I know you will be delighted by her lovely creation! And the ATS digi team also has some sneaks going on at the ATS blog too so check that out as well! :)

On another note, I've got a new video up over at Color Me Copic about how I color my straight hair. Fair warning though... it is a bit longer than the first one but I hope you still enjoy it. :)
And if there is anything else you would like to see me do a coloring video on just let me know and I'll see what I can put together... it will keep me out of trouble on my days off, LOL!

Ok, ok, I'll see ya tomorrow with another new Fairy Sweet digi to share!

Let it rock!

Hey friends!

There are some brand new stamps being debuted at Tickled Pink and this first set is called Let it Rock! They are going to be available for purchase Saturday, September 11th as digis and a rubber version will be coming to the store soon for all you rubber stamp loving gals out there. :)

This set has a lot of great sentiments and cool images that pair up perfectly with Lil Lolita Sookie, so if you've gotten her, these digis are a must have... it sure makes for some quick and perfectly coordinated cards! This time I gave my sentiment the "big head" treatment and blew it up nice and big so that I could really take advantage of those outline letters and color coordinate them to the rest of the card. I also printed out the skully flowers in three different sizes to create a fun background for this funky little rocker chick!

And since this is preview time you can bet that there is a chance to win your very own FULL set! All you have to do is leave a comment on the Let it rock post over on the Tickled Pink blog and YOU could be that lucky WINNER! :)

Now I also made this card work for this week's Lil Lolita Boutique challenge which is incorporating music into your design. Besides the obvious Sookie with her microphone and that sentiment, I also stamped music notes onto some plain white twill and created my own pattern ribbon that I then ruffled up to mimic Sookie's skirt... too fun! There is a lot of sparkle and glitter added to this as well but like always I just couldn't get it to pick up in the photograph so you'll have to take my word for it. ;)

Alrighty, if you've gotten some of these lovely Lolitas I hope to see you playing along in the challenge this week, Kellie always has a cool prize up for grabs so jump on in!

TTFN!

Make your mark... bookmark that is...

Mornin'!

It's time for a new challenge over at ATS and this week we want to see you make a corner bookmark. Now I've made a few of these before but nothing as fancy as this tutorial showed so I decided to go all out on mine today. :)
I grabbed paper scraps that where lying on my table and started putting this together before picking out an image, which is pretty unheard of for me... I almost always start a project by choosing my image first. Anyway, I went with a couple of the "B" side patterns from the Crate Restoration papers for the base and then it was time to figure out who was going to be the perfect fit. At first I was afraid of not finding anyone I liked but then I spotted the cute Emma holding rose from the CC Designs Take a Seat set. Her little eyelet lace dress was exactly the look I was going for but I did decide to alter her just a bit to hold a book rather than the rose... I was making a bookmark after all. ;)

I have to say that I love how this one came together and it makes me wish I had more free time to sit and read a good book, LOL! Ok, it's your turn now...remember, every week there is a new and exciting prize being offered and in order to be eligible to win, your card/ project must include a stamp that is sold in the All That Scraps store. Whether it is any of our wonderful in house designs or from the various other stamp companies that ATS carries, the choice is yours. Then be sure to link up your creation with Mr Linky by next Tuesday at 10pm est and only one entry per person please!
