It's a candy hunt for this SN preview...

It's time to take another fun filled trip to Sweet November Land and spring is always a magical time to trek back there. I hear the Pixie's are getting ready to celebrate the Easter holiday so let's head on over to the meadows they call home and see if we can't get our hands on some amazing Easter candy. :)

Down by the duck pond we bump into little pixie Esther. She has been quite busy helping the Easter Bunny come up with ideas for hiding eggs. Esther is such a clever girl and she always comes up with the most creative places to stash those beautifully decorated eggs. And since she has an unexpected group to entertain she is delighted to put on an impromptu egg hunt just for us. What fun it is to search high and low for those Easter treasures and Esther just sits back and giggles as she hints about how hot or cold we may be to finding another egg for our baskets. Finally after scouring the meadow all morning long Esther tells us that there is one final egg still hidden and the lucky crafter who finds it will get some pretty sweet candy to take home, check it out...
The Easter Pixie Esther candy kit includes; one Sweet November Easter Pixie Esther rubber stamp set, nine 6x6 sheets of Making Memories Garden Party paper, Prima flowers and Kaiser Craft pearls, ribbon, twine, buttons, die cuts, four envelopes, four card blanks and my card.

All you have to do for a chance to win the candy is leave a comment on this post. If you link to the candy on your own blog that is great and much appreciated but not a requirement... I want everyone to be able to play along. And when I say everyone, I mean everyone. I will ship the candy anywhere in the world so everyone is encouraged to play! :)
The candy will stay open through Friday, February 8th and I will announce the winners on Saturday, February 9th.

Don't forget to check out the Sweet November Gals' blogs! Nancy and Marion have baskets full of creativity to share! :)

Instead of using random generator I will be printing out names and tossing them in a hat SO if you leave comments for the SN gals on their blogs, you will get an extra name in the hat for each one that you do... this will up your chances of winning the candy... fun, fun, fun!

Thanks so much for joining us on this first day of the Sweet November February release. Come back tomorrow to meet another Easter Pixie who is just hopping up and down with excitement!

Hugs N Kisses...

Hi guys!

I had a busy day at work yesterday that lead right into a busy Saturday night. Soooo... even though I had grand ambitions there was no new card made. Fortunately I've got a non-coloring card sitting on my hard drive just waiting to be shared. It's a mix of a lot of different companies and can be a Valentine or not.

Alrighty, I'm going to go back to bed for a bit and then do my best to avoid all things Super Bowl the rest of the day. I'm so not a sports gal... good thing I have Downton to look forward to tonight. ;)

The best day ever...

Hello there!

So I got an order the other day that included some new Collectable papers by My Mind's Eye and as soon as I laid eyes on the Remarkable range I knew I had to make a boy card with it. And since I planned on coloring up an Ian stamp from The Greeting Farm I hopped on over to the TGF blog to see what the new Farm Fresh Friday challenge was and if it would work with my plan. At first I was a bit disappointed when I saw that it is lace and ribbon... more of a girly look than what I wanted to do. But then I remembered this great piece of twill ribbon that I've had that would definitely keep with the more masculine theme and still allow me to play along with the challenge. It already had these metal grommets in it and I went ahead and added some enamel dots to them for little pops of color on the twill. Oh, and I toned down the white letter stickers a bit by coloring them with my E40 marker, which helped the 'wishing you' to match better with the papers.
As for Mr. Ian, I did a head swap because I wanted to get Sitting Casual Ian standing up. So I grabbed oldie but goodie Dress Me Ian and found the perfect outfit too. A little snip snip of the scissors and Casual Ian had a brand new body to show off. I know I bring it up every time that I use the old Dress Me set but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that someday we will get an updated Dress Me set with open eyed Anya and Ian and brand new outfits to add to their wardrobe. A girl can dream any way. ;)

Ok, it's time for me to get ready for work.
Later gators!

Be mine...

Hey, hey!

TGIF to all my stampin' peeps. :)

I put together a quick Valentine yesterday and had fun altering Devilish Lucy from CC Designs to be more suited to the whole love theme. It was an easy change as all I had to do was wipe away her little horns and tail before stamping and then draw in the missing lines. Now she looks like a funky little chick in her pink patent leather boots and hot pink dress. I added glitter pen to the white skirt that gives her some sparkle and the bow just because I thought she needed more pink. :)

All of the other papers and goodies are from the new Doodlebug Lovebirds line. And let's face it, I just wanted an excuse to play with new stuff, LOL! I'm in love with those little birds, aren't they tweet? ;)

Well, take care and I'll catch ya all again in 24.

Wish I could...

Olo!

Yesterday was a bit of a whirlwind but once I got home I managed to whip up this quick card. I grabbed Peek-a-boo Pure Innocence because she is a fast image to color up plus I had this scrap of View Master paper that I thought would be really clever to pair with her and her coordinating sentiment. Yep, I'm not going to lie... it makes me chuckle. :)
More scraps made it out of the scrap bags and the results are nice and bright which I think makes for a cheery 'missing you' type of card. You want to make the recipient smile, right?

I know this is a short post but I've got a couple other things that I really need to get done this morning before I really start my day so I'll wish you all a very happy crafty Thursday.

Wonderful...

Hello!

We got actual goodness beautiful sunshine yesterday. It was soooooo nice! Even better was seeing the wet patches on the road as the snow began to melt for the first time all winter. Now all it has to do is keep up this warming trend and I'll be through with winter before I know it. ;)

And since I was celebrating such a gorgeous day I thought it was only appropriate that my card go all out with some bright and lovely blooms. So I pulled out this Pergamano cutie with her large bouquet and some pretty Pebble papers and got busy. When I first inked her up I was thinking that this card would end up being quite pink but once I found this print I had to take her in a different direction. I like that it is a bit different but still girly and playful.

Well, another day another dollar. I suppose I should get to it. Here's to a wonderful Wednesday everyone. :)

Happy Birthday!

Mornin' friends!

Le sob! Le weep! Le boo hoo! If you hadn't guessed from all that crying and carrying on, yes, I watched my recording of Sunday's episode of Downton. Bawling like a baby doesn't even begin to describe it. And I really shouldn't have watched it right before bed because there is nothing worse than waking up with puffy eyes the next morning. Seriously, how do you explain to people that a television show is the reason you look a mess without them thinking you must be crazy? ;)

Alrighty, since there isn't much I can do about my current appearance I might as well move on to today's card. I altered the new Puppy Love Mae from Some Odd Girl by trimming the puppy out of her hands and replacing it with a present found on the Gifty Gwen stamp set. This created a more generic looking birthday card which is what I was going for. All the papers are scraps and there really isn't much more to this card than that. Not a lot of embellishments and what not... but the bunting pattern was so busy that anything I tried adding just made it look completely cluttered. Sometimes less is more I guess. :)

Ok, lots to do today.
Catch ya on the flip side!
