Scarecrow in training...

Hey, hey!

We are excited to welcome the fall season with the newest digi release at Sweet November Stamps. The Scarecrow in Training collection includes three different vignettes capturing the sweet bond between the old, seasoned scarecrow and his young apprentice.

My first card features Scarecrow in Training #1, where our elder scarecrow is placing the all important straw hat on the eager youngster. With his outfit complete , this little one is ready to learn all there is to know about scaring away crows from the farmer's crops. It's a very important job and he dreams of being the best scarecrow ever!

Next, Scarecrow in Training #3 captures a funny moment when the pesky crows don't seem to be scared at all. Try as he might, our seasoned scarecrow can't shake these curious intruders. Which seems to be quite hilarious to his little apprentice.

Finally, Scarecrow in Training #2 reveals that it is more fun for the scarecrows when they welcome the company of their feathered friends and join them in a joyful chorus that can be heard all across the fields. I mean, who wants to be scary all day anyway?  ;)

Now be sure to check out the Friends of Sweet November Stamps group on Facebook for even more Scarecrow in Training fun from the rest of our amazing design team. Don't forget, I will be coloring one of these scenes Live today at 11am PDT over on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page and I hope to see ya there!

You can also find us on Instagram @sweetnovemberstamps and don't forget to use the #sweetnovemberstamps any time you share a card or project using SN images so we can see all of your beautiful makes!

Hello Autumn...

Hello there!

I'm up on the Bellarific blog with an enchanting Scenic Saturday post featuring a mix of old and new stamps. The introduction of the lovely Oddball Autumn Fairy in the latest release provided me with the perfect opportunity to ink up the Pumpkin House Backdrop again and create a magical fall scene.

I love that Stamping Bella is adding to the seasonal Oddball Fairies and the two newest fairies do not disappoint. Being a fall girl myself, I'm rather partial to this Oddball Autumn Fairy, with her crown of leaves, nuts and berries and pumpkin wand, she completely encapsulates all the glory of the fall season. I chose to stamp her off center leaving plenty of room to stamp and mask the Pumpkin House Backdrop on the other side of the card behind her. Sure, some of the house is cut off at the card edge and a lot is also blocked by the fairy, but that's the beauty of the backdrop stamps... you don't have to see the entire image for it to create just the right amount of scenery. Next, it was time to color and I dove right into all of the beautiful hues of an autumn day. I even gave her ombre hair to mimic the changing of the leaves in the trees. The row of birch trees were sketched in by hand to help hide our Oddball Autumn Fairy from the world beyond. The sentiment is from the Autumn Sentiment set and in case you missed it, there is a 15% OFF Labor Day Sale happening now in the store through September 1st. While the new release and retired section are not included, it's a great time to add older stamps like the Pumpkin House Backdrop and Autumn Sentiment set to your cart.  :)

Stay crafty my friends!

Dog-gone it...

TGIF!

I've got another Sweet November Stamps Pen Pal card to share today. This one was for the August swap and I know that this one made it to its destination. The theme was animals so this card, that I colored Live on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page during the Dog Park 4 digi release, was perfect. For the scene I paired Minnie the Maltipoo with the Modern Living Room digi set, which was a special prize for participating in a previous challenge and is now available in the store for everyone. I also grabbed the octopus stuffie from the Dog Park 3: Bentley the Basset Hound set because this little pup looked like she would be spoiled with lots of toys. We had a lot of fun coloring the couch to look like something you might find at your granny's house, complete with a coordinating afghan throw. And Minnie is looking longingly into that back yard, hoping that someone will open the door so she can chase off those pesky squirrels, LOL!

Thanks for stopping by!

Make a splash...

Hey there!

Well, I had been holding off on sharing this card until my Pen Pal received it, but this was for the July swap and I'm afraid it may not have arrived at its destination. Still, I want to share it before summer officially comes to an end. The theme of the July Pen Pal swap was summer so I paired up cuties from the Wet and Wild digital collection at Sweet November Stamps. The little boy is from the Squirt Guns set and the little girl is from the Water Balloon Fight set. I also threw in the sprinkler from the Sprinkler Fun set for even more action and movement in the background. So many ways of having fun and keeping cool for these cute little kiddos! I will be keeping my fingers crossed that this card makes it to its destination someday... better late than never.  :)

Toodles!
