New Burning Love collection at Sweet November Stamps...

 Hello friends!

Today we are introducing a brand new digi release at Sweet November Stamps. The Burning Love collection features four adorable little dragons; Doby, Zsu Zsu, Swoozie and Fennick. Each one of these mythical cuties has a heart full of love burning deep in their chest and they are ready to spread the love this Valentine's Day.

My first card today is a slimline using all three of the digital stamps that are included in the Swoozie bundle. Swoozie is soaring high above the clouds with her heart shaped motion line trailing behind her. Down below I've blown up the digital sentiment that comes with her nice and big. The background was created using a couple of stencils and Catherine Pooler inks.

My second card includes all three of the digital stamps included in the Zsu Zsu bundle. I colored little Zsu Zsu in the opening of a cave overlooking a fantastical forest. There she is pining for love, breathing heart shaped smoke rings into the air.

Now be sure to go check out the Friends of Sweet November Stamps group on Facebook for even more Burning Love inspiration from Caitlin and our fabulous guest designer, Rosemary Bridges!

I will be coloring Live this morning at 11am PST on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page.

You can also find us on Instagram @sweetnovemberstamps and don't forget to use the #sweetnovemberstamps any time you share a card or project using SN images so we can see all of your beautiful makes!

Hello Friend...

TGIF my friends!

It has taken me awhile to finally have a chance to ink up the darling Coffee Friends set from  Hello Bluebird but they were totally worth the wait. The set is full of cute woodland critters all enjoying a hot cuppa. As much as I love them all, this little squirrel in particular totally stole my heart and had to make it on my first card using this set. So I paired him with the sweet racoon and borrowed the fallen log from the older Skating Party set for them to both rest on. To keep the scene nice and cozy, I opted not to create a big scene filling the entire card front and instead contained it to just the top half of the card. For the bottom half I stamped the Handmade Plaid background onto teal card stock then used the E57 Copic to color in some of the stripes in the pattern. To separate the two halves of the card I wanted a decorative border so I grabbed the Gallery Frame #3 die and simply used one of its edges trimmed down to size. the large Hello Friend sentiment dies were added over top and I even grabbed a tiny speech bubble die from the Photo Stack die set to add a little heart too. I think it captures that cozy feeling as winter winds down quite nicely.  :)

Have a good one everybody!

Happy Valentine's Day...

Hey there!

Yesterday was another busy day that didn't leave me with a lot of time for crafting but I still needed to unwind once I got home. I saw this cute little Be Creative mouse from Colorado Craft Company sitting on my desk and this idea for a quick, clean and simple Valentine popped into my head. I stamped this artistic little mouse with his well used brush in the lower left corner of my card and proceeded to color him up, being sure to add a really dramatic shadow behind him that implies there is a white wall back there. Then all I did was grab a red marker and literally scribble in a giant heart in front of him. I left it loose and sketchy on purpose as the state of those bristles on his brush doesn't make it appear as if he was taking great care with his brush strokes, LOL! I also added a few dripping spots to again hint at the flat, white wall he just painted on as well as some small paint drops on the ground. What a messy little guy! A heat embossed sentiment from the Ever Thine set and this card was done in a flash.

Alrighty, time for me to get this busy day rolling. Take care!

Lot's of love, hugs and kisses...

 Olo!

Big new was revealed yesterday during my Live coloring, Sweet November Stamps is now also carrying Dreamerland Crafts! Yep, because I've designed a couple background builder sets for them and Dreamerland can be a bit harder to find, we've decided to expand our offerings a bit and I think it's very exciting!

To celebrate this new adventure I colored up a sweet Valentine scene using the Farmland set and the When you Love Someone stamp. As always I had such a great time chatting with everyone who joined me during the Live and taking all of their great suggestions in helping make this card as cute as it is. With the pretty sunset sky and the sweet couple embracing up front there, I just think it is a charming little Valentine's Day card. The sentiment was added after the Live and it is kind of Frankensteined together from a couple different sentiments included in the Lot's of Love stamp set from Colorado Craft Company. I think it sums up the emotions of these two sweethearts perfectly.  :)

Alrighty, well thanks so much for stopping by today!

A love like gnome other...

Hey there!

In the January Sweet November newsletter we mentioned the addition of a small Gnome Valentine digi add-on set that can be used with the Gnome For The Holidays Gnomes to make them work for Valentine's day cards. Not only that but we've also just added a Gnome Valentine sentiment set to really help spread messages of love. So when it came time for me to create a card for the newest challenge at the There's a Stamp For That challenge run by my crafty pal, Danni Bindel, I knew just who I wanted to color up. Gnome Gnorbitt got a happy heart day make-over that is perfect for the love or hearts theme. I added the heart balloon and box of chocolates to his hands and then added even more hearts to his tall cap. He was so sweet standing there like a smitten suitor that I had to grab the Door is Always Open digi to give him a doorway to be standing before.

If you haven't played along in the There's a Stamp For That challenge yet, totally go join the Facebook group and jump in! Danni has a $10 gift certificate to Sweet November Stamps up for grabs and with all the new goodies coming to the shop this month, you will want it! ;)

Have a good one!

A friend of coffee...

Good morning!

Keeping the coffee theme going I decided to finally color up this super fun Coffee Girl from the  digi shop on etsy called Las Cajitas de Elvi. She has been printed out and waiting on my desk since like, September, so it was high time she got on a card of her own. Don'tcha just love the animation and energy in this gal? I'm guessing that isn't her first cup of coffee for the day, LOL! I paired her with the Coffee Friends digital sentiment from The Greeting Farm and turned it into a wall sign in her local coffee shop. She certainly looks like a friend I would like to hang out with even if I'd personally prefer a frappi or a sweet tea. ;)

Laters!
