Seas the day...

TGIF!

As I was flipping through one of my stamp binders for a card that I made earlier this week, I stumbled across the cute Mine, Mine, Mine stamp set from Paperie Ink. I got these adorable seagulls at the end of last summer and to be honest, when they got put away I kinda forgot I had them! So once I spotted them I knew I had to make a card with them ASAP. I decided to use the Gallery Frame #4 die from Hello Bluebird to create a little grid design for these cuties to live in, stamping them all out on the various panels. The overall color scheme went very nautical with the red, white and blue combo but I like how the blues of the water and sky lighten everything up a bit. I gotta say, this card seemed to fly together really quickly and it is still really playful and fun. I'm so glad I spotted these cuties in my stash and had the time to play with them.  :)

Ok friends, thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!

Just dropping you a line...

Olo!

I've been meaning to play with my older Sweet November clear stamps more often, since I'm always left with more ideas for them than I can do at release time, so I grabbed out my SN binder and got to playing. This little fishing Fairwee from the Make a Splash expansion set is a personal fave and I thought he would be super cute paired with the Pond Scene Builder set. If you are interested in watching this relaxing summer day scene come together I've got a full length speed coloring video over on the Sweet November Stamps Youtube channel as well as a shorter Reel on Instagram. :)

Later gators!

Hello sweet friend...

Hey there!

As I was enjoying some fresh strawberries from my mom's garden I was inspired to pull out the sweet strawberry stamps that are in my Hello Bluebird stash and ink up a fun card. There are great strawberry plants in both the Bee Happy and Strawberry Jam sets so I grabbed both to mix and match together. I also found this adorable mouse carrying a strawberry in the Field Mice set and I knew instantly that I had my main character right there. To help fill the scene with plenty of berries I used a Mirror Stamp to flip one of the larger strawberry plants in the Bee Happy set so that it faced into the center of the card. The fuzzy little caterpillar from the Strawberry Jam set was added to one of the berries to that my mouse had a friend to be looking at. Once the scene was all colored in, I used the Gallery Frame #3 die over top as well as a paper strip that included a small sentiment from the Forest Friends set. Now as I'm looking at the finished card, I'm starting to crave some strawberry jam on toast... LOL!

Be sweet my friends!

Happy Birthday...

Hello, hello!

Yesterday I was really wanting to color up some of Stacey Yacula's cute critters from Purple Onion Designs and luckily for me I still had a few scenes already stamped out using images from the A Special Day release. As much as I do enjoy stamping scenes together, it always feels like a treat when I can just 'grab and go'. This particular scene was built around the super adorable hedgies called, The Prickles. After masking them off I then stamped the new Woodland Background right over top. I love the depth of field this background creates, you really get a sense of the landscape moving off into the distance. Up front in the foreground I stamped the Flora and Fauna flowers to add more colors to the overall scene. To finish it off I simply added one of the happy birthday sentiments from the Let's Celebrate set to the bottom of the card and this sweet card was complete!

Have a wonderful day my friends!

To the best teacher...

Good morning!

I'm sharing another one of the cards that I made for the recent Stamping Bella release and this one features the rather hangdog looking Oddball Boy Teacher. This is no fresh faced first day of school posing going on here, no... this is last day of a looong year, summer vacation can't begin soon enough kind of look. I placed Teacher in front of the Cork Board Backdrop, which is sadly retired, but does a great job of setting the scene for him. As tired as he seems to be, I'm sure it's because of a job well done. Give him a month or two and he will be right back at it, ready to fill young minds with knowledge.  :)

Thanks for popping by today!

More time in the garden...

Hi friends!

So yesterday we opened the Vault at Sweet November Stamps and brought back the industrious Garden Girls, newly updates and in digital form. Adele, Tilly, Myra and Elsie are the four sweeties getting their grow on and I've got two more cards to share to round out the collection.

First we find Garden Girl Elsie watering some plants in her vegetable garden. Elsie knows that even though all things grow with love, a little water now and then certainly doesn't hurt either. LOL! ;)

My last Garden Girl card was colored during my Live over on the Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page. Garden Girl Myra is using her walnut wheelbarrow to transfer some of her prize flower buds to a knew field. In the distance you can see the rows and rows of summer blooms that Myra keeps in tip top shape. I have to thank my wonderful viewers who joined me for this Live and gave all the suggestions that lead to this beautiful landscape. I so enjoy how their creativity continues to push my own every single time we color together.  :)

Toodles!
