I've still got a few cards to share from the Sea-sational MerMay
clear release at Sweet November Stamps and this one pairs one of the backgrounds from the Tidewater Backdrops paper pack with a cute mermaid from the Salty and Sweet 3 set. This paper pack, based off of previous backgrounds that I've colored, is such a time saver. My card making time is literally cut in half when using them. This sunny beach scene was perfect for this little resting mermaid and she was an easy one to fussy cut too. I gave her a crabby friend from the Any Fin is Possible set and used the E42 and E43 markers to add some grounding shadows beneath them both. The sentiment was stamped right onto the background paper using Memento dye based ink and I had no issues with it smudging on the slightly glossy paper. I love that this card looks like I put a lot more work into it than I actually did... LOL!
