Building sandcastles...

Hello!

I'm up on the Bellariffic blog today and we are headed to the beach for this week's summer inspired Scenic Saturday card. The Mini Oddballs Building a Sandcastle have been waiting patiently for me to finally ink them up and these hot summer days make it feel like the perfect time to color these cuties. 

I began by stamping this busy pair of builders into the center of the vertical A2 sized card front. This left me with room to add both the blue waves below them and the blue sky above creating a nice bookend that helps bring them front and center. I extended the sandy beach back behind the Oddballs, creating some distance between them and the small palm trees that I sketched onto the horizon. Once the beach scene was complete all that was left for me to do was color up these Mini Oddballs in some bright, happy summer inspired colors. The sentiment is included in the Mini Oddballs Building a Sandcastle set and I stamped it between the palm trees as the finishing touch on this fun card.  :)
