Hello sunshine!

Wheeeeewww... did you hear that? Yep, it was me breathing a huge sigh of relief. :)

It was a stressful week but I managed to complete everything I needed to get done and now I can enjoy the weekend. Yeah! Do I have big plans? Heck no. I'm just gonna chill and relax here at home and let the snow continue to fall all around me... well, and make some cards too. ;)
Though I really need to clean the crafty room because it totally looks like a tornado ran through there, oy!
Boy is that the story of my life... jumping from project to project, leaving a path of 'organized' chaos in my wake.Ok, I'm probably being a bit generous with the 'organized' part of that description but denial ain't just a river in Egypt my friends. ;)

So after a hectic day I tried to do my part to leave the crafty room a little less messy than I found it by using up some more of that Basic Grey card kit. And again this one doesn't follow their recipe because I just had to put my own spin on it so I could fit little Sake on there. She's another Ketto stamp that I've had since this summer and she let me know it was her turn to see ink. :) Hey, she was super quick to color and that was exactly what I needed today especially when I was also looking for something to fit this week's Diedrich Dare inspiration. It's a little make up set with some Asian flair to it so miss Sake was perfect! Oh and I'm still lovin' that PTI cardstock too... ;)

Have a wonderful Saturday everyone!

In the meadow we can build a snowman...

and pretend that he is parson Brown...

Ahhh Friday... oh how I look forward to this day all week long. It's my day off and I've got big plans so I'm just going to dive right into today's post. :)

I'm still on a roll with the whole combining challenges thing, even if I haven't broken my record of two... LOL, it's all good though. So my card combines this week's Diedrich Dare sketch challenge and this week's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge. I loved the whole pink, aqua and brown color combo plus I just couldn't resist the chance to pull out these cutie snowmen stamps that have been a favorite of mine for a couple years now. Something about the sketchy way they are drawn totally reminds me of the comic strip Calvin and Hobbes (which I'm still totally bummed over its not being written anymore...sigh). But I digress... back to the card, when I saw Jack's sketch I immediately saw a whole stamped bottom panel rather than my usual cut-out image and it was fun to create an entire scene.
The end result is pretty clean and simple looking but I really dig it. ;)
Thanks for stopping by today, I'll chat with ya again manana.

City sidewalks, busy sidewalks... dressed in holiday style

in the air there's a feeling of Christmas.

Greetings and salutations!

So before I get into today's card I just have to go off on a bit of a Glee tangent... not a whole lot of singing last night but man, SO much DRAMA! Poor Mr. Shue, are you doing ok Rinne? I know how much you like your Shue. ;) My big question mark for the episode is why can't the Glee kids go and draw funny faces on the other club pics too? I know, I know, it would be petty and they are above all that but man, sometimes drawing a funny mustache and glasses on the yearbook photo of that one kid who's never nice to you can feel pretty darn good... (insert innocent whistling smilie here...) ;)

Anywhooo... my card today is for this week's Diedrich Dare sketch and as you can probably tell there is a bit of altering going on with this one too. I used Lolli Anya's head (after I wiped away the lollipop from the side of her face and drew in the missing section) and Dress Me Anya's body and Summer Wardrobe dress. I drew in sleeves on her body as well as shoes on her feet. Oh and the bags are from the Summer Wardrobe set too, I just added a bit of crumpled crepe paper coming out the tops to make them look like gift bags. Whew... that's a lot going on to get one little Christmas shopping cutie but well worth the time I think. :)
And even though I don't need any more Christmas cards this year what can I say... I'm in that festive frame of mind and I don't think I'm going to shake it any time soon so why fight it?
Alrighty then, another day another dollar... hope you all have a wonderful day! Supply list:

Nothing lasts forever

Yes, I'm afraid to admit it but my desk is once again a disaster area. Try as I might it just could not stay clear and clean... ugh. Not only is the desk piled up with stuff, I've seriously got to get in there and organize the rest of the room as well... it's getting a bit out of hand. On the bright side, I did manage to put this card together and it completely uses left-overs from the Miles & Maisy Sprout card that were still kicking around. When I saw the new Diedrich Dare's color challenge of orange, blue and green I knew it was meant to be that I use up more of these scraps... it also doesn't hurt that it is one of my fave color combos too. ;)
Well I've gotta get busy... catch you in 24.

Wild Sprouts Max and Zoe and a winner!

Good Saturday morning fellow stampers!
First things first, let's get to what you've all been waiting for... the candy winner. Random.org picked a low one and apparently birthdays are lucky because CraftyJenn is our big winner! Congratulations Jenn! :)
Email me at pete_danger@hotmail.com with your mailing addy and I will get your goodies out to you on Monday.
Secondly, after reading the comments on yesterday's Sprout post I was sad to see some of you getting discouraged about entering your own designs. Please don't be. I can draw. It's just something I've always been able to do. I can't sing, I can't dance and I can't do math problems in my head... we all have our gifts BUT this challenge isn't even about the drawing. It's about sharing your ideas. Even if drawing isn't your gift you may still have the winning design idea so enter the challenge! :)
As for me I'm gonna keep playing with them because this is way too much fun. I was on a role yesterday and got these two on cards and the bonus... both are for challenges! Max is this week's Farm Fresh sketch challenge and Zoe is for the Diedrich Dares. :) I gotta say, I love how Max came out so I think I might as well enter him as one of my three today... hope I don't change my mind later.
Meet Max.
Max is a curly haired cutie who is always up for an adventure whether that is the first day of school or a hike through the woods. He's got his backpack and he's good to go!
Meet Zoe.
Zoe is a total girly-girl and she loves dressing up in her new sundress. This little beauty has style and grace and she is just as sweet as can be.
