We are starting a new weekly feature in the 7 Kids emails today with quick Walk Thru Wednesday photo tutorials by the design team. Not only will we be featuring quick tips and tricks for your card making but we will also be featuring stamps from that month's current Featured Vendor. This month is all about Gorjuss Girls and for my WTW card I have colored up the lovely stamp called
Birds of a Feather. While these extra large stamps are a lot of fun
to color, their large size really fills an entire A2 sized card front.
Personally, I love adding a sentiment to the front of my cards so this
size can make it kind of difficult to figure
out where to fit words in without compromising the overall design.
That's where the "eclipse" technique comes in handy. The finished result is a subtle message that blends in beautifully with the scene you have colored. I fell in love with this new Feed the Birds digi at Mo's Digital Pencil as soon as I spotted it last week. And when I saw that there is a buy one get one deal with the Little Birdies until the 14th I knew I had to add them to my digi collection right away. Using the png files I had a lot of fun deciding on where to put all the little birdies... I even added one to his hand! For the background I stuck with a winter scene since he is so bundled up but I did make some of that snow melted away for the birds. Then I hinted at some playground equipment in the distance to help finish telling the story. It's a total happy, happy, joy, joy type of card. :)

Good morning!
Just a quick post this morning before heading off to work. This beauty is Jill Girl from Picket Fence Studios and I inked her up in desert sand for some no-line coloring. This Beautiful Girls range caught my eye a few months back and I finally added one to my collection with this pretty winter gal. As I was coloring Jill images of a ski vacation came to mind. I pictured her as a bundled up snow bunny out on the deck of her rental cabin enjoying a morning cup of joe. And the resulting scene was actually a pretty simple one to achieve. I had so much fun coloring her up that I'm already trying to decide with Beautiful Girl to get next, LOL!

With all of the craziness of the holidays I totally took advantage of the December DT break but now I am so ready and so excited to be starting a new year at The Greeting Farm. Sneak peeks for the January release will begin later next week so until then I thought it would be fun to revisit an older stamp from my TGF collection. This bundled up little sweetie is SSSC Jamie and I've got such a soft spot for these big eyed kiddos, they always put a smile on my face. With her cap, boots and jacket I knew that Jamie would be perfect for a winter themed card so I stamped her in desert sand ink for some no-line coloring and then proceeded to color in a snowy neighborhood behind her. Little Jamie certainly looks like a girl on the go and I'm sure she has big plans for the year ahead as well. ;)

Good morning!
I've got a fun birthday card to share today using one of the super cute little foxes from the Like a Crafty Fox set by Picket Fence Studios. Because I didn't have a whole lot of time to get crafty with this I figured it was the perfect time to play with pretty papers again, which I gotta say... it felt pretty good. So I let this cool birch wood print do most of the work for me and I simply had to color up the fox, sign and balloon die cut. It doesn't get much more quick and easy than that. ;)
Alrighty friends, I'm back to work today and it's supposed to be a nasty one weather wise. I just hope it isn't freezing rain when I'm out walking the dogs.

It's the first of a new month and that means it is time to travel back to Sweet November Land. As we find ourselves deep in the heart of the cold winter months this is the perfect time of year to meet the lovely Frost Fairies that grace Sweet November Land with their icy magic.
The peace and serenity of a cold winter's night is reflected not only in the ice covered lakes and streams but can also be found gracefully dancing in the sky above as the Frost Fairy, Nora Northlight, glides along creating the magical northern lights.
The young Frost Fairy, Emma Everfrost, wraps the land in a blanket of fluffy white snow, transforming even the most mundane of landscapes into magical winter wonderlands.
The freezing wind that nips your nose and frosts your fingers until you are driven back indoors with a cup of something hot to warm you inside and out is brought on the wings of the Frost Fairy, Willa Wintersnight.
