TGIF!
Well I'm wrapping up this week with my first Easter card of the year. Since I recently added this sweet digi stamp called Girl Loves a Bunny to my ADFD collection I couldn't wait to color her up. There is something about these kids with their backs turned to the viewer that I find totally endearing. Because I have a tendency to buy and collect any cloud background paper that I find I figured this card was the perfect opportunity to pull some out and create a dreamy spring scene for these two. It looks like the perfect Easter Sunday to me. :)
Alrighty, gotta jet... have a fun and fabulous weekend everybody!

Love you bunches...
Mornin!
Super quick post today since I've got to be at work early... I couldn't resist getting another Bloom Bean on a card and this time I was in a bright and colorful kind of mood. That's where Doodlebug comes in to play, it doesn't get much more colorful than their fun papers. I chose Mae from the set because her flowers looked like Gerber Daisies to me and those come in all sorts of colors. Doesn't she look so happy in her brightly hued garden? Oh how I love these Beans! :)
Later gators!

March birthdays are the best...
Hi-dee-ho!
The end of the month is drawing near and I realized that I hadn't made a Baker's Dozen cupcake card for March yet. Rather than going with the obvious green I thought it would be fun to treat the frosting like a rainbow and the sprinkles are the gold at the end of it. So I went a little crazy with the different kinds of gold accents... Copic Spica, actual gold glitter and the gold enamel dots for good measure. I think any leprechaun worth his salt would approve of this birthday card. ;)
Ok, I've gotta run... toodles!
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink

Love you a bushel and a peck...
Hello, hello!
I've got a happy little love card that I've made for 7 Kids Crafting Supply Store today and it features a mix of stamp sets from two different companies to create a single fun scene. Avery Elle recently released this great Fruit Stand set and as soon as I saw it it jumped into my shopping cart, LOL! I so enjoy building scenes for my character stamps to live in and this Fruit Stand is so unique and different from any other scene builders in my collection. Now it does come with its own character in the Avery Elle set but because I wanted to use the "love you a bushel and a peck" sentiment I also wanted to have a cute couple on this card. So of course I found the perfect pear... oops I mean pair, in the Greeting Farm Mini Remix Boys set and Mini Remix Happy set. Seriously, how adorable are these down on the farm love birds? Sure they work hard running this little road side fruit stand but they always make time for each other. ;)
There is still time to enter this month's challenge over on the 7 Kids blog. Kelly has an awesome $50 gift certificate up for grabs and you could be the lucky winner so get to creating and join the fun!

You're Super...
Good morning!
As soon as I saw this week's sketch challenge over on the MFT blog I knew that I wanted to make a superhero card. I think it was the speech bubble in the corner that really got the comic book idea stuck in my brain. So all I had to decide was do I use the Super Boy or Super Girl stamp? In the end I went with the boy simply because I do so many girlie cards that this would be a fun change up. I kept the classic Superman color scheme for his costume and even gave this little guy some super hero blue/black hair too. I also ended up altering his face a little by drawing in eyebrows and a smirk to make him look a bit more confident than the original image. The die cut cityscape in the background and the sentiment are all part of the Zappy Birthday set from Papertrey Ink. I really liked that the font had that classic comic book look.
Ok then, time for me to fly off, LOL!
Talk at'cha later!
Supply list:
cardstock- Papertrey Ink, Copic X-Press It and Bazzill
stamps- My Favorite Things (BB Super Boy), Papertrey Ink (Zappy Birthday set)
ink- Memento tuxedo black, Studio Calico sunny day, Tim Holtz Distress mermaid lagoon, faded jeans and chipped sapphire
My Favorite Things stitched square frame die
Papertrey Ink Zappy Birthday dies
My Favorite Things sun ray stencil
Doodlebug Sprinkles
Sharpie white marker

skin- E00, E21, E13, E04, R00, R20
hair- C5, C8, C10, 100, B16

Sending you a hello...
TGIF!
It's another Bellarific Friday and I am playing along once again. This week the challenge was a photo collage inspiration with a color scheme of sunshine/steel/candy/cream/marine. Because I really wanted to color up this beautiful Lilac Garden Girl my 'candy' aka pink is a more purpley pink but I think it still works. Lilacs are my most favorite floral scent, in fact I have a large Lilac bush right outside my front door and I can't wait for those few weeks in the spring when I can step outside and breath it all in... so wonderful. But I digress, I wanted to keep my card design light and bright, much like the inspiration photos. So I went for a white background simply embellished with a few stitched die lines and a pretty fancy foliage sentiment from Papertrey Ink that I dressed up with some 'lilacs' that I just dotted in with my Copics. Like I said, simple but I think effective. :)
Ok friends, that's it from me this week. Hope you have a creative weekend!

Thinking of you...
Olo!
I found myself in the mood to color up a portrait style image yesterday because I really just wanted to focus on some hair and skin coloring. So I got on the computer and scrolled through my digis until I came across this beauty from A Day For Daisies. She was a free digi that I got off the ADFD blog a couple years ago and I think her name is Buds in Her Hair, though I can't find her in the ADFD store. The Princess Leia style hair buns looked like a fun challenge to tackle. What a pretty little princess she became with her crown of flowers and I even added in a lacy ruff to hint at the fancy gown she must be wearing. I love the old Making Memories paper that I found in my stash, it really added to the fairy tale look that I was going for on this card. I'm so happy with how it all came together. :)
Laters!
