New Kris Lauren Big and Bold release at CCC!

Hello crafty friends!

There is a brand new Kris Lauren release available today at Colorado Craft Company, with three Big and Bold stamp sets that just may be my most favorite yet! The theme is bees but what I love most are the three adorable bee fairies that absolutely steal the show. Now, if you are loving them as much as I do then be sure to participate in today's blog hop. There is a chance to win one of the new sets at each stop on the hop. All you have to do is leave a comment on each blog or Instagram account to be entered into the drawing, so the more blogs you comment on the more chances you'll have to win. This will run through August 18th at midnight MST time and all the winners will be announced on the 3C blog. Here's a list of all the designers you'll want to check out:

I couldn't stop myself from mixing and matching all three of the new stamp sets together when creating my cards for today. For my first card I did some tricky masking to make it look like this sweet fairy from the Honey Crock set is bursting out of the beehive with three little bee friends happy to greet her. The flowering branch that the beehive is hanging from was borrowed from the Honey Jar stamp set. I gotta say, she looks to be quite the little Queen Bee hanging out up there!

My second card features the other Honey Crock fairy who got her own kind of transformation. The stamp originally has very short hair, I believe so it can be used as a boy or a girl, but I really wanted to see her with some cute puffed ponytails. By giving her black hair, the addition was super easy to achieve as I colored. I also masked the honey dipper across her body, right where her hands ended in her pockets so as I colored her darker skin tone in I also added some extra skin tone color on the handle to create the illusion of fingers holding it. Because I was using the honey dipper at a different angle than the packaging suggests I got creative with the additional drop of honey coming off it as well, only stamping one half of the drip rather than the entire image. Now she looks quite pleased with her sticky, sweet treat!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have fun hopping!
