My hometown

Good morning!

So it's Monday and that means it is time for a new MM challenge over at the CA&Friends blog and this week Barbara is hosting and she wants to see cards representing your hometown. I took this as a fun opportunity to create an entire scene using Sunshine Anya as the star of the show. :)

I've lived in the Chelan valley in Washington state most of my life. Lake Chelan is a 55 mile long glacier made lake that winds it way through the Cascade mountains. Most of it is inaccessible by roads and is heavily forested but down at the end you will find my little hometown. It's a beautiful place and because of that we get a lot of summer tourism from vacationers looking for sunshine and the clear blue waters of the lake. I even spent my summers working at the city RV park/campground when I was in college so I thought it would be cool to give Anya her own little motor home to stay in while she visits... I just didn't see her as a tent camping kind of girl, LOL!
Right now she's just waiting for Ian to pull up in the boat with some of their Wild Sprout friends for a day of water skiing and knee boarding. Anya has been practicing staying up on the one ski so hopefully the Lady of the Lake (it's the big boat that takes people all the way up to Stehekin which is at the head of the lake) doesn't pass by creating the big waves that will knock her down . After that they plan on boating further up lake past 25 Mile Creek to Holden (an old mining site) where there have been reports of Sasquatch sightings. Anya has her Flip and is hoping to get some good footage to put on youtube. ;)

Yes, I admit it... I may have had a bit too much fun with this one but I couldn't help myself! I really hope that you all play along too because I'd love to see Anya or one of her friends visiting your hometown! :)

Later gators!

Hi Amy. This card ist great! I love seeing Lake Chelan from Anya's eyes. I have to admit, I know each and everyone of those places by name. I too have pretty much lived in Washington most of my life. However, I have never ever been to Lake Chelan or Stehekin. Oh sure everyone else around me has gone to both and even boated or stayed at one of the resorts that you can only get to be boat. lol....What can I say, I live a very boring life. Anyway wonderful card, I love her chair and her motorhome. She is going to have so much fun visiting you. Hugs, Lisa
