Have you heard that Sweet November Stamps is hosting its first ever virtual card making retreat July 29th and 30th? It's called Camp Sweet November and if you haven't already guessed, the theme is a magical summer camping trip in the woods. There will be a private Facebook group just for the retreat and Campers will be able to access the courses long after the weekend is over. Along with the classes there will also be plenty of fun games and chances for Campers to win a number of amazing prizes that we have in store! It's an awesome line-up of classes being taught over the course of the weekend by myself, and our talented DT members, Allison Cope, Amanda Garrett and Caitlin Anthony as well as Amy Gould from The Crafty Purple Frog. We will be using the three exclusive stamp sets, that will only be available as part of the retreat, 6x8 Camping Wees, 4x6 Camping Wees expansion set and the Sweet November/Crafty Purple Frog collaboration, Hopping By. There are two options for signing up, the traditional card making kit includes all of the physical product that will be used in the classes, which is $149.99 and the $89.99 digital stamp option includes digi versions of all the images found in the exclusive stamp sets, but all of the extra goodies are not included and the Camper will have to find alternatives to use in their own craft stash. There are a limited number of physical kits available but there is still time to join the fun!
So today I am sharing a few cards I've made using these cute new stamp sets as a way to give you a better idea of what we will be creating with. I colored this first card during my Saturday Live video over on my Adventures in Coloring with Amy Facebook page and it features images from both the Camping Wees and Expansion set as well as the bush and bird from the Horizon Lines: Spring in Bloom set. Our little Fairwee has stumbled upon an adorable baby Bigfoot while out on a hike in the forest. Something tells me he doesn't have anything to worry about no matter what that trail sign says. ;)
My second card is a bit more clean and simple in its design with the Bigfoot from the Camping Wees Expansion set peeking out from behind a large tree. I let my scene coloring fade out to the white card base at the bottom of the card and stamped the large sentiment from the Camping Wees set opposite the Bigfoot.
And finally, I've colored up the Hopping By collaboration stamp with the Fairwee representing Sweet November Stamps and the frog representing our UK stockist, Crafty Purple Frog. Together they are adventuring through the forest in this colorful scene that I've created for them. :)
