So glad

Hey, hey, hey... it's Friday!
Any big plans for the weekend? I've got to work tomorrow and Sunday... again... but once I get home I plan to enjoy the sunshine and warm weather that we are having here. :)

So I've got a fun announcement to share with ya today. There is a new blog starting up in a couple of weeks... Color Me Copic! It is an informational blog started by a few of us fellow Copic lovers and it’s launching on May 28th. This isn’t a challenge site and we aren’t selling anything, we’re just Copic lovers like you who wanted to put some information out there because we've been asked a lot of questions and want to share what we know. There will be photo tutorials, video tutorials and you are encouraged to ask us questions and let us know what you are interested in seeing covered. So if there is anything I've colored here that you would like to see more about how that look was achieved just drop me a line here, by email or at CMC once it is up, and I will do my best to spread the Copic love. ;)

Ok, my card today features another Roll Call cutie, this time miss Nahla reluctantly let her shy self be caught in the spotlight. Now I pulled all my colors and papers for this card from the cool pieced tree that was part of a package of paper crafting goodies that my sweet blog friend Rinne sent me. She has such a fresh, eclectic style that simply inspires me and it has been a real treat to dabble in her style a bit... thanks again Rinne! :)
Don't forget that tomorrow is the official release day for the Roll Call set over at TGF... with ten full size Wild Sprouts I highly recommend grabbing this up if you can, you won't regret it!

Alrighty, time for me to make like a banana and split... see ya!

Say what?

Good morning!

Things are running a bit behind this morning so I'll try to keep this short and sweet. :)

It shouldn't be too hard, though if you ask me this little Jade looks a tad more spicy than sweet, LOL! Yep, I've got another one of the fabulous Roll Call Sprouts to share today and miss Jade here had just enough attitude to elbow her way to the front of the line in order to be the first of the girls that I inked up. There is just something about her cute pigtails and big old boots that makes me think this girl may have a tough exterior but is a total softie on the inside. So I wanted to play up that juxtaposition with the rest of the elements on the card. I stamped the brick background but made sure it was in a pretty, girly shade of pink and I think the touches of black add a bit of drama to the whole design.

Ok, seriously... I've gotta get movin'! Hope you all have a fabulous day today, I think the weather man said we might be hitting 80 degrees! :)

Supply list:

cardstock- DCWV, Bazzill and PTI

My card today uses cute little Dylan as he reminded me of one of my young cousins with his curly hair and basketball jersey. Plus I also thought he went really well with this Kid Quotes sentiment that totally cracks me up. Other than that it's pretty simple but it's hard to go embellishment crazy on a guy card if you ask me. :)

Thanks for joining us in the hop and be sure to check out Kelly's blog next!

Winner, winner chicken dinner

Hidey ho!

So I bet you all want to know who the winner of the Darby & Penelope candy is, huh? ;)
Ok, ok... without further ado, the lucky lady selected by Random Generator is......

#43 Kimberly S

Congratulations Kimberly! Please email me at pete_danger@hotmail.com with your mailing addy and I will get your candy right off to you. :)

Thanks so much to everyone who played along and you just know there will be more chances to win next month so be sure to check back then!

Now, onto today's card... I've got one for this week's Monday Mania challenge that is being hosted by my bloggin' buddy Jenn! Jenn came up with a recipe challenge to pierce it, punch it & piece it. Now punches for me... no problem, I use those quite a bit. But the piecing and the piercing? Neither one are a regular go-to in my card making repertoire so this is where things got a bit tricky. I sat and thought about the piercing for a bit and when I came across Cheeky Shooter I had a light bulb moment! Not only did the regular piercing remind me of tooled leather but I thought it could look cool to take a larger embossing stylus and pierce it through the paper in a couple of spots creating the look of bullet holes. Then I just pieced Shooter's hat, top and skirt and it was challenge met and I gotta say I love how this card turned out! :)

Thanks for stopping by... I hope you enjoy your Monday as much as I plan to!
Toodles! Supply list:
cardstock- Jillybean Soup kraft, Bazzill and PTI
paper- My Mind's Eye (red paisley and yellow), Basic Grey (brown)

Heidi Swapp alpha rub-ons
Making Memories brads
Martha Stewart flower punch
Paper Trey Ink twine
Copic markers:

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

everywhere you go...

Good Saturday morning to you! I hope all is well with everyone out there in blog land. :)
I know I keep saying it lately, I think it must be the time of year because I need to post and run again as I've got to go to work today. Hopefully things will get back to normal after next week.

So today I have another altered Anya... this time I took Flapper Anya and wiped away the feather and hair lines from the top of her head so that it could become a stylish knit cap. Then I cut off her head and used it with Dress Up Anya's body and pants though I did use Dress Up Ian's coat so she wouldn't get cold out in the winter snow. ;)
Now Anya is ready to stroll through the neighborhood taking in all the fantastic lights and decorations... hopefully she doesn't give in to temptation and sabotage the Jones' light display, making it impossible for them to take the "Best House" prize five years running LOL!

Be good... you know Santa is watching!
TTYL! Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and GP
paper- Bella Blvd (December Details)

Simply having a wonderful Christmas time

Good morning!
I think I'm suffering from hop hangover... LOL!
I apologize in advance because this post is gonna be super quick, I stayed up way too late blog hoppin' and now I have to get ready for work plus drive to work through the six or more inches of snow we got last night... bleh
So my card today is actually the other idea that I had for the hop if I hadn't have gone with the nutcracker one... I altered the brand new Yoga Anya into a Christmas elf. I wiped away the top of her head and added the hat, wiped away her closed eyes and replaced them with Lolli Anya's smilie eyes, then it was just drawing in extra lines for her long sleeves and boots on her feet. I thought her new eyes with the little mouth made her look like she was munching on something yummy and that's when the rest of the card theme and design came to me. Plus the new October Afternoon Very Merry paper didn't hurt either... aren't those gingerbread just the cutest?! :)
See ya all manana!
Supply list:

Club Anya Holiday Blog Hop!

Hello! Hello!

Welcome to the Club Anya Holiday Blog Hop! Today we are celebrating the newest stamp release at the Greeting Farm which will be available for purchase tonight at midnight CST... yeah!
If you haven't been already, head on over to the Club Anya blog to start the hop and keep referring back to it for the master hop list so you don't get lost along the way. I promise that you'll really want to make it through the entire hop because IN ADDITION to the fun awards that will be given out to a few lucky participants, ONE lucky commenter who completes the hop and then returns to Club Anya will be eligible to win tonight's ENTIRE RELEASE! Good luck! There are prizes GALORE tonight! :)
And if all that wasn't enough fun for you we also have a chat going on over at the Club Anya PCP page right now. The chatter is quick and lively and always a blast... hope to see ya there!

Ok, so I had a couple different ideas for my holiday hop card today and in the end I didn't even use a single "Christmas" TGF stamp at all... gasp!
I had the idea to create a Nutcracker themed card and right away knew that Ballet Anya would make a perfect Clara with just a few alterations to her dress. At first finding the perfect Ian to alter into the Nutcracker prince was a bit of a head scratcher but as soon as I came across Rescue Ian I knew I had a winner. All I did was wipe away his helmet and the stripes from his outfit then drew in his new costume and I love how he turned out. Now he looks ready to battle that mean ol' Mouse King! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy the rest of the hop!

More than a little Miss Anya love

Yeah!
It's finally Friday and if that wasn't reason enough to be excited just look at this fantabulous new Miss Anya set that's being released on the 15th! This little trio absolutely stole my heart the second I laid eyes on them and when it came time to make my card for today there was no way I could choose just one... so a Valentine card set was the way to go. And even though I was making three cards, by staying within one coordinating paper collection and one basic over-all layout design these were a breeze to put together.
And I know its terrible but I can't wait to alter this cuties into some fun fairies, oh and the sitting Anya is SO going to become a mermaid... just you wait and see... LOL! ;)
I keep dreaming of the day Marie might finally surprise us with some real Miss Anya fairies and mermaids but until that day comes I will be MORE than happy with these lovelies. :)

Oh and I hope you've signed up for the big Club Anya blog hop on Monday because they are always so much fun and I can't wait to see what everyone has created for it! There is just so much amazing talent amongst my fellow Anya friends it never ceases to inspire me. :)

Now if you haven't stopped by Club Anya yet you really must go see what my fellow CADT have done with this sweet set... as always just some really beautiful creations.

Ciao for now! :)

Please have snow and mistletoe...

and presents under the tree...

Good morning my fellow Anya friends!
Are you ready for another sneak peek? Today Anya is hitting the road or taking to the skies all in the hopes of visiting her special friends and maybe even a Wild Sprout or two (though those Sprouts can get ya in trouble if you're not careful... they're wild I tell ya!) LOL. ;)

I'm sure it was because I was in the groove with my Christmas card making when I got this little cutie but as soon as I saw her the classic Christmas song popped into my head. So you know I just had to run with it... plus it gave me another reason to use the fab-o TGF Merry, Merry paper.
If you haven't been to Club Anya today I highly recommend you go check out what my fellow CADT have created with this awesome new Anya, its pretty amazing stuff!

And just because I can't help myself and have been totally Gleeking out since last night's fall finale, I have to ask... did you LOVE it!!?! I thought it was perfect! It was emotional, funny, charming and the singing was oh-so-good... the only downer is having to wait until spring for new episodes. :(
My life... may suck... wiiiiiiiiithoooooooout it! LOL ;)

Alrighty then, I'm off to work. Be sure to come back tomorrow for the third and final Club Anya sneak peek for this release... I promise it will be lover-ly. ;)

A very ZEN-sational Anya

Hello, hello!

Well here we are again at the start of another fabulous run of Club Anya sneak peeks and today we are introducing you to Yoga Anya! Isn't she just the CUTEST thing!?! Shhhhhhhhhh! We need to keep it down while she tries to meditate... LOL! ;)
Though it kinda looks like this little yoga gal has a few things still on her mind, don'tcha think? heeheehee
Yea, that would be me too... I have a hard time clearing my mind. Sheesh, most nights I don't even sleep without vivid dreams so a calm, zen state is something I can only long for. ;)

Ok, onto the deets... as you probably guessed I slightly altered the Anya on the inside of the card by opening her eyes and changing her mouth just a bit. Nothing dramatic but effective at getting the card's playful message across wouldn't you say?

So if you haven't stopped by Club Anya yet today, head on over and check out the rest of the team's ZEN-sational cards... their creativity just blows me away, but in a totally calm and quiet kind of way of course. ;)

Yoga Anya and few more of her friends (whom you shall meet in the next couple days) will all be available at midnight on the 15th so be sure to mark your calendar for the big release!

See ya tomorrow!

City sidewalks, busy sidewalks... dressed in holiday style

in the air there's a feeling of Christmas.

Greetings and salutations!

So before I get into today's card I just have to go off on a bit of a Glee tangent... not a whole lot of singing last night but man, SO much DRAMA! Poor Mr. Shue, are you doing ok Rinne? I know how much you like your Shue. ;) My big question mark for the episode is why can't the Glee kids go and draw funny faces on the other club pics too? I know, I know, it would be petty and they are above all that but man, sometimes drawing a funny mustache and glasses on the yearbook photo of that one kid who's never nice to you can feel pretty darn good... (insert innocent whistling smilie here...) ;)

Anywhooo... my card today is for this week's Diedrich Dare sketch and as you can probably tell there is a bit of altering going on with this one too. I used Lolli Anya's head (after I wiped away the lollipop from the side of her face and drew in the missing section) and Dress Me Anya's body and Summer Wardrobe dress. I drew in sleeves on her body as well as shoes on her feet. Oh and the bags are from the Summer Wardrobe set too, I just added a bit of crumpled crepe paper coming out the tops to make them look like gift bags. Whew... that's a lot going on to get one little Christmas shopping cutie but well worth the time I think. :)
And even though I don't need any more Christmas cards this year what can I say... I'm in that festive frame of mind and I don't think I'm going to shake it any time soon so why fight it?
Alrighty then, another day another dollar... hope you all have a wonderful day! Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and GP
paper- American Crafts (green) Pebbles Inc (red)
stamps- The Greeting Farm (Lolli Anya, Dress Me Anya, Summer Wardrobe set) Studio G (sentiment)

The children were nestled, all snug in their beds...

Well hello there!
How is everyone this morning? I've got another busy day ahead of me but it's all good... nothing I can't handle. :)
It's chilly here but thankfully the snow is holding off so that makes getting to and from work a breeze. Honestly I would be perfectly happy to only get a skiff of the white stuff on Christmas eve. I doubt I'm that lucky, but a girl can dream. ;) Sheesh, all this talk of me not wanting any snow probably makes me sound kinda scroogey but I really do love the holiday season... truly!
Maybe another Christmas card will help me prove it. :)
I went ahead and used the Flutter Anya that I had started coloring for Kelly's fave hair color post over at Club Anya and turned her into a cutie sugarplum fairy. I really liked going with a very non-traditional color scheme for this card and I think it still works for Christmas.
Well I guess I should be getting ready for work now, chat with ya later! cardstock- Georgia Pacific

stamps- The Greeting Farm (Flutter Anya) Martha Stewart (sugarplums)

Just one more day

After a jam-packed busy, busy, busy past few weeks I am finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Today is my last day of work this week and then I go into a nice long weekend... that means I actually have my birthday off this year and I think I may be going on a bit of a shopping trip with my sis to celebrate... yeah! :)
Ok fellow Gleeks (Amy aren't you glad you're one of us now? LOL), I just gotta say it... last night's episode immediately went into my top three faves. I think the football episode was the only one I laughed harder at! All the inner monologues were just hilarious and again that cutie Kurt had me in stitches. Sigh... I love this show. "Don't stand. Don't stand so close to me!" :)

And finally, today is the big release day for the new Fairy digis over at The Greeting Farm! I have been having so much fun with these gals and Marie is even taking an unofficial poll over at The Greeting Farm blog to see which two should possibly be made into rubber. I'm sorry but I had to tell her we need all four in rubber... don't you agree? wink, wink
Seriously... how can you only have two seasons? It goes against mother nature I tell ya! :)

Alrighty, I'm audi!
There is a sentiment on the inside of the card that reads: Thankful for a friend like you all the year through.

Definitely time for some 'me time'

OMGosh... can I just say thank goodness it's Friday and my day off from work. It has been one of those weeks where I feel like I've been constantly on the run, never getting a chance to stop and catch my breath. I should take a cue from the brand spankin' new Me Time Anya and have a little spa day (yea Amy, keep wishin' on that one). ;)
So here we are at the final sneak peek of this month's uber fabulous release of Anyas over at The Greeting Farm. All of the stamps will be available on Sunday the 15th, which is not too far off now! Me Time Anya is a whole set of stamps in the super cute new "mini Anya" size (like the Signature set from last month) that I am absolutely lovin' and hope to continue seeing more of in the future. There are two Anyas, some sentiments and little accessories like the candles and slippers. Heck, I loved the little slippers so much that I had to let them shine all on their own (even added some flocking so they are nice and fuzzy). ;)
Doesn't this just make you want to take a nice long soak in the tub? Yea, me too... :)
If you haven't yet been, be sure to head over to the Club Anya blog and see all the other bathing beauties my fellow CADT have to share with us... they are AMAZING! And be sure to mark your calendars for the Spa Hop this Sunday, totally inspired by today's cutie! There will be prizes to celebrate the big release day so make some time to pamper yourself a little and join the fun!

Oh! I almost forgot to mention one last, yet totally awesome new set that will be available on Sunday as well. It's the Anya Says sentiment set and as you can see there is the perfect saying for all your sweet Anya stamps. And the best part? It is only $10! Look closely, notice how the "Keep Rockin" sentiment is on there twice? Well because of that little boo-boo you can get these for a great deal. :)
Ok, so I know I promised I would chat it up about Glee but I have a confession... I haven't actually been able to watch it yet! Tragic I know, but I did tape it since I was so busy and hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to relax and enjoy my special Glee time. :)
Catch ya later!

Lolli, lolli, lolli...

get your adverbs here... oh wait, wrong Lolli (though you can't beat a classic like School House Rock) ;)

Good morning my friends! Ready for the fourth installment to our Club Anya sneak peeks?
Meet Lolli Anya! This little darling is such a sweetheart... LOL sorry, just couldn't help myself. :)
Doesn't she look like a total girly girl, all sugar with just a hint of spice? Personally, I love her 'smiley' eyes... they just make me happy. In fact I'm pretty sure I had a smile on my face the entire time I was coloring little Lolli. There's just something about her, the girl has got that 'it' factor. LOL

Be sure to head on over to the Club Anya blog and check out all the eye candy from my fellow CADT gals... but be careful you don't get a cavity from all that sugar! ;)

Ok, I've really got to get going. It's been a crazy busy week at work... but I promise to talk a bit about Glee tomorrow. Take care! :)

Be sure to head over to the Club Anya blog to see what the rest of the CADT have created with this cutie... it looks like the gin joints a hoppin' with all these dancing Anyas over there! ;)

Oh and speaking of musical goodness... GLEE is back tonight! Yea baby! I am so stinkin' excited it's not even funny! And I know I'm not the only Gleek out there that feels the same way, LOL!

Falling for you

Hello and good morning!

Here we are at day 2 of our week of peeks over at the Club Anya blog and let me tell you, this one is very near and dear to me. For months I have been pestering, begging and pleading for a Fall Miss Anya as an add-on to the Rain, Snow & Shine set... not just because I'm a fall kind of gal myself but because there is something in me that can't rest until I have a complete set, so I needed that fourth season represented. ;) Imagine my utter joy when I was emailed not only a Fall Miss Anya but a cutie My Guy too... can you stand it?! Now, they are only available in digital form at the moment but don't be surprised if you see these two in rubbah sometime in the new year... yeah! But that's getting ahead of things... I'm just happy I have the digis to tide me over until then because I think they are both perfect. :)

So if you love them as much as I do be sure to to post a comment on the Club Anya blog today and you just might win the cute couple... I know you want them... how can you resist? ;)

Oh and be sure to mark your calendars for this Sunday. We will be having a fun "Spa Hop" to celebrate the release with chances to win prizes at each CADT member's blog. You won't want to miss out on the fun! :)

Double oh, just so there isn't any confusion I did slightly alter My Guy by cutting off one of his arms and drawing in a new one to wrap around Anya's waist.... awwwwwww. Ok, I've really got to get ready for work now.
Catch ya again tomorrow with more Anya fun. :)

Mr. Miyagi would be proud

Woohoo! Sneak peek week is finally here for this month's Club Anya release over at TGF and boy is there a whole lot of cuteness going on! Today we are starting off with two brand new digi images, I like to call them the karate kids... must be a child of the 80's thing... ;)

So there is both a Karate Ian and a Karate Anya going to be available on the 15th but one lucky gal can win them both just by heading over to the Club Anya blog today and leaving a comment! You'll want to check it out any way cause my fellow CADT have made some fab-o cards with these cuties that you won't want to miss!

For my card I chose to be a bit cheeky and playful with the theme, so I've got Karate Anya as is on the front of the card and inside I have taken her head and added it to Ian's kicking body. Swapping heads is a super easy alteration and I love how it creates the possibility of an Anya with more action or a standing Ian. :)
Pretty fun, huh? And I'm not gonna lie, I can't wait to swap this cutie's head onto a few other Anya bodies... her adorable little bun head hair-do could work on so many of them, just you wait and see! LOL
Now I shall leave you with my best Mr. Miyagi impression, "Daniel-son! Wax on... wax off... wax on... wax off..." ;)

Gettin' my Glee on

Before you remind me that the whole baseball thing is still dragging on and that sadly there is still no Glee on TV tonight, let me just say I have an awesome little sister. :) Last night she got me the Glee soundtrack just because she knows the hardships I've been going through while it's been off the air LOL! ;) I suspect she may be passing it off as an early birthday present but that is alright by me because it is amazing!
Thanks Jac... though this doesn't get you off the hook to make your oh-so-yummy German Chocolate cake for my b-day. ;)

Oh and before I forget... there is still plenty of time to enter into this week's blog candy, Check it out here...

Okey dokey, onto my card for today. If you've already stopped by the Club Anya blog you can see all of the fab cards that I used to pull my inspiration from in making this one. By borrowing different ideas and design elements from different cards you can create 'card recipes' that really streamline the process and make for super quick cards because all of the guesswork is taken out of the equation. Gotta love that, plus you never know when you are gonna find a a new technique or twist on an old favorite that you haven't tried yet. So if you've never visited the TGF galleria I highly recommend it. It's one of my favorite places to browse when my mojo needs a boost. :)
Oh and I did alter Dressy Miss Anya a bit by removing her hat and slippers and drawing in lines for boots and long sleeves. I'm still trying to convince Marie that we NEED a Fall Miss Anya add-on to the Rain, Snow, Shine set... us fall girls need some representation dont'cha think? No pressure Marie... ;)
So to sign off today I will leave you with these wise words... Don't stop believin'! Hold on to that feee-eee-eeelin', ohhhh-ohhhh-ooohhhhhhhh!
