Celebrate...

good times, come on!

Good morning!
So have you ever heard the story of Sampson? How his mighty strength left him once Delilah cut off his hair? Well, I'm pretty sure I was suffering from some kind of reverse Sampson effect because it had been months since my last hair cut and recently my crafty mojo has been less than stellar. So yesterday I went and got it all chopped off and I feel SOOOO much better! What can I say... I'm a short hair gal through and through. And even though I woke up in the morning not knowing if I would have a card to share today... once I got home last night I was anxious to get into the crafty room.

Now I'm not saying I was able to re-invent the wheel or anything, heck... I don't even think I'm quite out of my rut yet. But I enjoyed putting this card together and it was good to have that feeling back. :)
I'm thinking all that extra hair was sucking out my creativity and now that it's gone I'll have all sorts of ideas popping into my head as well as the desire to get them onto a card. Like I said, reverse Sampson... LOL! ;)

So this card came together really quickly once I found this sheet of paper with all the lanterns on it. As soon as I spotted this print it was a no-brainer to pair it up with sweet little Mei Li from Sister Stamps. And all those lanterns got me into a festive mood so I thought this would make for a cute and different kind of birthday card. Simple, fun and not too shabby for an hour in the crafty room.

Ok, time for me to scoot off to work. Take care friends!

Your card is so cute! Love the little frill across the top with the bling.

I know what you mean about getting the hair chopped off. I would find I put off going to get a 'do' during the blah months of winter but it was the start of spring and more energy once I got the hair chopped off. :D

Thanks for sharing! :)

adorable card! i don't think it's possible for you to lose your mojo! haha i got my hair chopped off yesterday, too, but unfortunately, I think I went TOO short and now I'm in a funk b/c of a haircut I'm not too thrilled about. at least it's hair and will grow back! :D

Hi Amy. You crack me up. I wish I could loose my mojo like you do. If you had lost it I am sure that none of us had even noticed. You are so gifted that it amazes me. I am happy for you that your short hair is letting all the wonderful ideas that make you feel like yourself come flowing back. I love this card. It is just adorable and WOW, you could not have asked for better paper for it. :O) Hope you have a great day at work. Mine was actually awesome yesterday. Love it when that happens. Hugs, Lisa

Amy, I don't think you could make a bad card if you tried!! I love all of your work!!

And I know how you feel about your hair. I cut about ten inches off of mine earlier this summer!! Except my mojo didn't come back...hmmm...lol!!

Great work, once again! :)
